Are the very soft mallets good for chorales?
Another mallet that looks like that are the Tony Miceli Jazz Vibes Mallets from Mike Balter! Hahaha

Adam! I have 2 pairs of hard round sounds, and my lesson teacher suggested these. Do you think the round sounds and double helixes go well together? And what hardness do you recommend?
I think they are slightly different - the RS is more articulate than the DH in general, and they feel slightly different in the hand but I guess in a pinch they could still work :) DHB my favourite is still the 3s, and the RSB probably also the 3s :)
Is there a weight difference between the DHB4/5/6?
There is, but not a lot :)
Do you think buying a pair of mediums and a pair of medium softs would be okay? I really love the sound you got from the M-M-Ms-S setup, but that would be three separate pairs, and so like $150. Or would just two medium (DHB4) pairs be good? Great videos by the way!
Hmm I think one pair of DHB4 and one pair of DHB5 would be great as a start :) Then if you really still needed the soft at the bottom you could get a pair of DHB6. Two DHB4s for me is a bit too flat, but of course everyone is different!

Santiago Diaz 2s are pretty good! I've never used the 1 so I wouldn't know unfortunately...
