    I have been watching you on TV for long as I can remember, now I have my granddaughter and we both love you, I have seen you Wife, and I think son and you Dad, and now I love the quick videos of you cooking. I will be sure to make the shrimp scampi soon I live in Florida, so I get all the shrimp I want, my dad was a shrimper, I love me some shrimp 💜

    Angel hair sitting in the bowl will be pasty and cold, just add pasta to pan to let pasta absorb the sauce and then plate. I’m a big supporter of serving in bowl and letting people take what they want. I prefer more pasta than most and others prefer more shrimp than pasta. Less waste. If Andrew had a fantasy food camp my brothers and I would definitely go, think about it.

    So, does it matter what kind if white wine? I have always wondered that seeing these recipes that have just "white wine" in the description.

      I don't know, but I think they say to use whatever wine you like to drink.

      I made the mistake of using certain types of wine and then my food ends up having a peculiar smell and taste and altered flavor profile due to the wines I use. I'd say you should go for a neutral tasting/smelling white wine that doesn't have a characteristic smell or taste to it( such as fruity/musky) etc. Cooking white wine stands to be perfect.

      @@Devouringgluttony thanks! This weekend I have an "Iron Chef" competition with my girlfriend for a couple of guests. Seafood is the ingredient and she is going the salmon route. I will do the shrimp scampi, with your advice. Will take pics and post.

    The only thing I saw with carbs was the bread crumbs and pasta, and both of them are loaded with carbs.

    Great looking recipe but as per usual what Andrew says and shows he's putting in a recipe is not what is in the written recipe. He uses far more than 4 Tlbs. of OO, he used minced shallots and the recipe calls for sliced, he poured and said a Tlbs. of Pernod the recipe calls for 1/3 cup, way too much and he used parsley where the recipe calls for a mix of tarragon, parsley, savory and chives creating a completely flavor profile and it appears to be more than four Tlbs. of butter but it's a bad angle.

    That's not a scampi Andrew, you forgot to dust the prawns in flour saute a few minutes, salt and pepper, add the wine ( a Chabis) then the lemon juice that you forgot. reduce to half then add the butter, parsley, serve with fresh parsley sprinkled over the top. leave the pernod out and save it for your Oysters Rockefeller! who wants licorice shrimp!

      @@amywilliams7601 It's apparent you don't know how a shrimp scampi is made. Sure what he made looks good, if you like your shrimp boiled instead of sautéed like it's suppose to be. Actually go out and find a restaurant which serves traditional fair, such as a sautéed Shrimp Scampi, in a real lemon butter sauce (Beurre Blanc). you will find it 10x better. And you be able to expand your culinary insight.
