GORGEOUS 1963 Plymouth Valiant sporting a 528 Hemi, Blown running on Alcohol. This is the nicest & nastiest car I have ever seen, ridden in, touched or worked on. Enjoy the video and don't forget to hit that subscribe button!
During this video the car was only 5% overdriven... It is ~1500whp @ 5%, 2500whp+ @ 20% overdriven. Lenco 3 speed. Fab Rear end with 4.57 gears for the street. 4 link, molly chassis (NHRA 6.3 Certified, Pro Mod), etc.

Some guys don't let you touch their cars, this guy is taking people on test drives. That's awesome!
Fantastic build. Can't imagine the $$$$ that went into it. All those involved should be very proud of their work.
@Jack Taylor, I’m guessing minimum 300k
"isn't that car a little loud"
"Sorry I couldn't hear you over the sound of 2500 horses"
Back when I was a kid I could never have imagined a Valiant could be so beautiful and insane ! I had two different friends in the neighborhood who’s moms had Valiants. Both were slant sixes. I’d guess 100 horses . Dave Heitman
Congratulations on an incredible build. You've obviously puts lots of hard work into this machine, and it has paid off... Well done.
Are you kidding me CZcams? You made me watch a 30 second no skip Honda ad before You would let me watch this! Do you really think I'm sitting wishing I drove a Honda while watching a video with a 2500hp alcohol drag car?!?!
Aggressive Pizza lmao
adblock son. adblock. no mo ads. drop them some coin too bc it works awesome.
Nah, it's showing you what you'll need after driving that thing for a day and paying for gas.
One word: Adblock.
love how when its on the dyno he downshifts and you can see the chassis twist. TORQUE POWER!!!
You can also see the rear tire growth put her A$$ end HIGH in he wind. Wonder if tire growth affects the Rear gear Ratio?!?
So nice to see a car of this calibre being driven on the street, as much as I like "other" brand cars, high powered Hemis are just awesome. Thanks for driving it just how I hoped you would.
Thank you for watching and commenting :) feel free to check out my channel to see more videos of this car
@@Tinman2Kustoms I have seen all of your videos about your car especially the chick that you had in it that says this was the fastest ride she has ever been in she has not been any 12,000 horsepower cars I know plenty of these guys her boobs were bouncing very nice but in 12,000 horsepower they probably would have wrapped around her skull laugh out loud and very nice talking to you sir
@@Tinman2Kustomswhat a beast that’s known as a valiant down here made by Chrysler 👍🇦🇺
I love the sound of blown alcohol hemis. Everytime I attend a tractor pulling event I dream of having one of these engines in a street car.
Wow...The skill, experience, knowledge, understanding and downright patience to build something like this and have it be one of the biggest bad asses on the road has to be extremely rewarding. * edit * excuse "punctuation"
My first car was a 63 Plymouth Valiant. Slant six, three on a tree. Same high gloss black.
Seeing this car brings back memories of high school.
Wish mine had that set up.
Stretching the meaning of "street legal" to the absolute breaking point! Kudos to the owner for taking that beast out on public streets.
There is a reason why the HEMI has owned the top fuel, and funny car class since 1964!!! Very nice car!!!
Definitely! Thanks for the compliment
Huh?
What is the reason?
Go to an NHRA Event, and check out a Hemi Head when it's off the block. You will see the reason. Pictures don't do it justice.
Johnny Sokko has nothing to do with the head, myth
LOL!! yeah the hemi head is a complete myth.....
When everybody comes over to see what's making all that noise you got a sick car brings back memories of my friends Challenger
Wow. This brings back great memories. In 1982 I worked the graveyard shift at a service station (cashier). The head mechanic had a 64 Valiant coupe with a blown 426 Hemi that he raced at the track. Always loved it when he would be finishing up some late, after hrs prep work for a race and they would fire that beast up. One time I asked him why not use a more aerodynamic car? He always said it was one of the most aerodynamic cars you could drag race.
My nephew and his wife are good friends with the owner, so I have talked to him and sat in the driver seat. Incredibly cramped in the cockpit...it has the best of everything in it. The transmission is hooked to servos on the rear suspension and the ride changes with each lever pulled depending on if he is taking off, or driving towards the end of the track. The hood was molded from the original in carbon fiber. This car is unbelievable...
need to find a handicap car
Drove my Dad's Friends car back in the 80's, 1970 Cuda Kieth Black Hemi Blown Injected on Alky street legal. From Fremont Ca. The baddest car around the Bay area at the time!! Sounded just like this car brang back allot of memories for me.
rayce36 Awesome! This is also a keith black block
I remember the block came out of Roland Leong's ( Hawaiian) funny car, It had two holes that got welded back up from connecting rods going through it. The car was in Car Craft Magazine. April, 1985 issue. I have driven 900 HP sprint cars But i will never forget that Drive that day on the street with over 2000 HP under my foot!! What a rush!!!
Hell yeah I bet it was! Surprised them welds held up honestly lol a lot of pressure there!
That is one hell of a car to try and make look good in the first place. Now there will never be a better looking one. Just over the top with the whole build. Clean, Mean,Sinister, and Fast as Hell.! 200MPh limiter on the Dyno!! haha you know your fast when you click that!
30 year build, and it shows. Great Car! Great Video of it, thanks!!
Thank you for the compliments on the car and the video. I know the owner appreciates it!
At like 10:20.. "Its never been at a track, strictly a street car."
Ha! You're a maniac. I love it.
11:44 :D almost broke the passenger's neck :D this really is the perfect illustration for the proverbial "neck snapping torque" :) amazing ! and you even drive the thing registered on the street and public roads, only in America ! unthinkable where I come from, but I love it ! again, way awesome ! greetings from germany.
My first car was a '64 Valiant. I think that in my mind I sort of imagined it was (or could have been) like this car!
so, where's the street car?
11:45 Pull took the soul out that mans body 😂
it only needs a small amount of pinstriping on the door " BECAUSE I CAN, THAT'S WHY!" awesome job on this project. really enjoyed seeing it. oh and for those who don't seem to "get it" ... it's an expensive man toy made with magic Lego blocks.
I wish my country had laws that would allow such a SWEET SWEET machine like this on the road.
I mean if they don't catch you it's not illegal....
Talk about an awesome build, two thumbs way up that there is one insanely awesome piece of American muscle!
I bet it is street legal we have them Here too in texas like that what I like the most about the whole video is that the old guy has fun with the car alot of people have them like that but are scared to drive them
Wow what a beautiful monster is all I could say. The power is crazy sick.
it sure is :)
Absolutely amazing car! Seems like an awesome engineering project... Congratulations to the owner and everyone that worked on that! Simply amazing!!
What a wonderful piece of engineering.. It's great to see people putting they're visions into reality.. Brilliant car and brilliant video... Thank you for posting!
All I could think of was, "where's your helmet?" and then, "shorts, a t-shirt, and sneakers. hmm." You're a little crazy, aren't you. Godddammmmmnn sweet ride.
I had a 1964 Plymouth Valiant, 273 then a 318 V-8. Cam, 4.56 gears, locked out Torqueflight push button
tranny.👍🏽
It was painted lime green😜
The MURICA is strong with this one.
As a big MOPAR fan I just gota say,,, THAT is one HELL ofa car! The Valiant was never the best looking car to begin with so why not turn it into something right out of Darth Vaders nightmare. Well done! Hate to see the final price tag on it. :-)
It can be yours if the price is right ;) lol
No thanks, I just bought enough parts for my motorcycle to buy a second stock one. It would be cheaper to date a needy high maintenance super model than to modify anything that has tires. :-)
Amen Bro. speakin of ugly cars that make good lookin Hot Rods AMC Gremlin
My first car was a 1966 Pontiac GTO 389 engine, muncie 4 sp, positive traction rear end, didn't have the money to soup it up, it was all stock but, boy was it a beauty. Love watching stuff like this. Thanks for sharing the dream man.
*_Damn, I remember watching this back in the day._*
" W O W " I very rarely use the word Beautiful, but you have a very special car there, thanks for sharing this video.
Sammy Lee Your welcome
nothing like the sound of a blown Hemi :)
This IS the car that Hollyweird should use as the "Bat Mobile" in the ongoing saga of the "Darkest of Super Heroes."
it only needs a small amount of pinstriping on the door " BECAUSE I CAN, THAT'S WHY!" awesome job on this project. really enjoyed ok seeing it. oh and for those who don't seem to "get it" ... it's an expensive man toy made with magic Lego blocks.
WOW.... just WOW! That is an AMAZING MACHINE!! "Compliments" just doesn't come close. Incredible work, fantastic car!
Pete M. Thanks pete. comments like that make it all worth it.
a bunch of jealous hating douchebags commenting on this car nobody cares what you think or have to say !
This is an awesome Car !
aj9270 Thank you
Agreed.
That's the loosest definition of "street car" I've ever seen.
Yeah you put a Plate on it right !
So you get up there with a spray bottle ... why not just add a sprayer nozzle and be able to hit a button .
has one
Bad beast. I'm building a prostreet Chevelle's. 69 love you're Ride bad ass all .balls and Glory. ;)
Nothing like the smell of burnt alcohol in the morning I'll take mine sunny side up please
I love builds like these! Very unique, valiants aren't the most popular car and are often overlooked. Maaad props!
eemanyo Thanks for the love!! I know the owner will see that comment and appreciate the compliments
See this car in person every year in St. Paul. Absolutely perfect.
Start wearing gloves when you're pouring that methanol. I got spots on my kidneys now from not being more careful . . . WEAR THE GLOVES ! !
+Jersey Danny Good to know !
wear ALL your ppe. gloves, apron, and eye/face shield. tell anyone who makes fun of you to come see you in 40 years and see who's health is better...
+Jersey Danny it's also the reason why windshield washer fluid now contains only ethanol (the drinking kind) and no longer has any methanol (toxic).
+David Hughes check the label again - - I just bought a jug of blue stuff at K-Mart by me, & it's methanol. Warnings & everything. I wish they WOULD change it . . it's a health hazard.
+Jersey Danny Quit drinkin' it.
That is a scary machine, That's some insane, melt your face off power. Love it !
Wow! Unbelievable car. Thank you for sharing that video that really made my day. Simply awesome! Cheers, mate.
Probably the most beautiful, baddest, craziest, perfect made, and of course FASTEST car I've ever seen! Stupid if you give it a negative comment. Props! 👌
Westling machine did some fantastic machining on this car. Wow!
Id drive this in my town and rev it next to any driver with their windows down with themselves texting or doing a phone call. Then they would learn
Or overplaying annoying rap with too much bass...
Nothing like my parents old 1968 Plymouth Valiant! Awesome video!
Usually I don't watch long car vids like this but it was worth every second. Thanks for sharing this....
Absolutely. thank you for watching
Looks like a well engineered car. Congrats.
Mopar rules but as an old school drag racer. I question whether or not this is a legal street car. But regardless fantastic.
I think the really impressive part is getting all that power to the ground without pulling to one side.
It's actually pretty easy, you gotta either be a good chassis guy or have a good chassis guy, and treat every word he said as gospel (also don't piss him off)
Who ever thought a ' Valiant ' would become a ' Movie Star ' in the Classic out world ??? LOL !!!! Great job !!!!!
That is one trick ride!! She's a beaut! I had a 65' Valiant wagon that I wanted to build. But when I stripped the paint, I found that the whole back half of the body was ate up with rust and was too far gone to do anything and wasn't worth it financially so I sold it.
Now this is the sort of cars I wana see on street outlaws! Would kick ass!
therealmrcheese sadly no body wants to get down on the street like this
gave me goosebumps through the whole vid..
Love it, workmanship, artisan craft, build! ALLA WAY!
This car is insane definitely not grandmas grocery getter or pick up yarn at the craft store. Beautiful car nicely done
I see a man living his dream!
Badass car. Talked to you on Instagram a couple of times. I'm restoring a 65 Valiant. My 65 is a regular muscle car, but one day I would love to make a promod Valiant. They're cool cars
That thing is flawless! Looks put together and clean. . . dunno what else to say!
That car looks and sounds fantastic. You have to love the convenience of the spark plug location on older hemis. Had to replace spark plugs on my 2005 Dodge Ram's 4.7L engine a few days ago, and it's a pain in the ass. Of course working on almost any car made after about 1980 is a pain in the ass compared with cars made in the 50s to early 70s.
2:07...reminded me of a scene from the original Mad Max movie. The part when he is chasing the guys in the motorcycles.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I will give mine...She's a real beauty and she's also a real beast, and all at the same time. I can imagine the time and money invested in order to build such a project, and I can also appreciate the countless hours of labour spent by all those who are credited in the video. Thanks for sharing the fruits of your 30-years of no-doubt hard labour with us, as I believe it was worth it.
Thanks for being positive and not a hater.
Chevy Fan I was in Don Ness's shop three times per week while building this car. lots of his ideas in this car. He built Lee Shepards car
promodracer I would love to take a tour of Don Ness Race Cars, or any of the other prominent chassis builders, and yes I was aware that he built some of the Reher-Morrison Shepherd race cars (I believe Alston built the Camaro seen in my profile). Regardless, chassis design has come a long way since S&W Race Cars built Bill Jenkins' and Pro Stocks' first tube chassis '72 Vega, and chassis designs have continued to improve year after year since. I would have loved to see the torque-arm chassis developed to its' full potential back when Warren Johnson used one. Now that would have been something to see!!
Sinned customs is old ness guy on facebook
Learned to drive in that Valiant with a slant six. MOPAR Baby!
I was at the Gatornationals in the pits (BIL was racing). A Top Fuel car started up near us and holy smokes that thing was insane. I’d never heard one up close like that. When he revved it it was literally like a “pop.” Amazing the engines can withstand that much HP.
Very nice car, super fast, I want a ride! Looks like many custom made parts on that ride.
I'm think'n "OLD MATE"s comment a week ago says it all! My thoughts are - OMFG that is an awsum hot rod!! Twice thumbs up for the build and for this video. Wayyyy too cool! We'll keep our fingers crossed John Law doesn't catch ya do'n one of those short but sweet Quick Trips!! :-) But ol' fellers deserve fun too eh :-) I can only imagine the HUGE $$'s you've buried in that hot rod, but as they say - if you've got it,, flaunt it! I would too!
Yup! Life aint livin if you aint having fun!!!
Now if i could only turn my 65 Valiant into a beast like this. Awesome video and even more amazing and awesome car WOW.
Grandma should have never left you the Valliant !
In my country you can't even legally install a safety cage in the car. I wish I could live in Murica one day.
Badass car! And I'm not even a Plymouth guy. Congrats to everyone involved in building this beast.
To all the haters, this is not a civic, evo, sti, or your mommas Prius.
STFU about not being street legal or car don't make sense not being on the track or the rest of your bs comments.
When a man builds a car he builds it for what he wants not you.
You know this isn't a daily driver so who cares about the fuel being used not practical.
Again awesome car sir! Fuck these haters here that have never seen, driven, or will ever own something even close to this.
Especially when the motor/blower setup cost more than a house.
Yessir I agree with everything you have said and I know the owner will read this comment! I am sick of the haters, myself and it's not even mine lol thats just how it goes whenever you have something that someone else wants but can't have :)
Amen brother! Back in the day I built my "street" cars with as much horse power as my budget would allow, which was plenty! Like this car, totally impractical for just about anything other than going damn fast for a short sprint light to light on Lake street in Mpls. Ahh, the good old days.........:-)
1:37 - 😆
dude nearly gets whiplash
from just kissing the pedal
Very nice build, great attention to detail and an awesome car!
This video is awesome. I was there in the front row. Very impressive pull. It was deafening. I have my own video of it. Well done!
jeremy schlough Thank you
jeremy schlough Thank you for the compliment! Glad you enjoyed the video. There are lots more videos of this car on my youtube channel, here :)
Tinman 2 Kustoms I watched them. Fantastic. I remember watching the dyno and telling my wife how unusual it was for someone to have that make of car blown out like that. Definitely one of a kind. Thumbs up to everyone behind that monster.
Thank you Jeremy. This year will be even better
That dyno pull at 8:20 is almost scary.
I loved the reflection of the flag flying while on the dino...beautiful car!
Not only is the car itself impressive, what blows my mind is the technical mastery and engineering from the people who manufacture and machine the individual parts to the technical scientific know how to assemble the these parts into a functional machine. the understanding of design physics engineering ....science from a multitude of disciplines goes into creating this insane machine. machine machine machine
Wow, your very kind. Thank you.
That's what I need to get my groceries shopping done faster.
11:46 did you see how far the passengers head went back? Jesus...
I love it how passangers always hold on to something when you boost. Like last week when me and a few mates went to a track day and about 50 cars were cruising up the road, my passanger held on to the roll cage 90% of the time. 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
Dave Henry (those who know, know the name) built a similar beast with a 68 Camaro... But an even bigger accomplishment was talking the lady at the DMV into registering it as an "alternative fuel" vehicle for the California streets and HOV lanes!!!
11:30 - 12:00 or so... Passenger is pulling exactly the same faces any petrolhead would be pulling in these circumstances!!! 2-3000bhp (let's face it, no dyno can pin it down, it's going to be somewhere in that window!) with those big sticky tyres on the back, this is going to be a different world of acceleration compared even to hypercars like the Bugatti Veyron, Mclaren P1, Lambo LPSVT820x, Ferrari... thing...
Don't mistake my enthusiasm for a bias against things that can corner... I love a car that will corner AND accelerate, I even enjoy low-powered "chuckable" cars but a straight-line rail like this is immense.
Good thing it wasn't turbocharged because all of these people would have been sucked into the engine.
LOL! Great comment
Thanks!
Vladimir Petrov
most people would be afraid to get close to it while it's poppin
The way it took off it looked like the speeded up film in the road warrior.
No way!! This was the car I was drooling over at car craft last year and got video of it on the street because that whine gave me chills up my spine!! Haha I should upload it!
Very nice. Would like to see it run at drag wk !
Absolutely superb. I should imagine a lot of maintenance is required to keep that awesome machine running as well as fuel! 👍👍👍👍👍
+Simon John Hinton I would imagine alcohol eats everything. There's a hot rodder that drive an alcohol, twice blown hemi in a '34 Ford. The wife follows him in a pickup carrying drums of alcohol. Alcohol cars use a ton more fuel than gas cars. The good thing? It never overheats. LOL
+cruyeda yes correct
Thank you nice to hear good things.
+cruyeda the trick around that is a dual fuel system. running the engine on gasoline for a bit before shutting it off flushes the lines of alcohol. i dont think its what these guys do, but its not unheard of...
+slowpoke96z28 correct just pull line and run marvel mystery oil or wd 40 through lines and blow through.
I need a ride in this!! Just watching this gives me goosebumps! Nothing like that power!!
Bad Ass Hotrod!! I love that beast!!! Congrats on a truly awesome machine!
the cops: "speeding kills"
this guy: *guns it with 2500 HP*
*nothing bad happens*
Yet...
When he guns it he has a hard time keeping it in a straight line.
You better watch out for the Fuzz traveling at those speeds.
Like they could catch him, he's 3 counties away by the time they pick up the radio!
Cool! Very Nice! Brother once had a Vallient but looked nothing like that! I work for NHRA Safety Safari as their Top End Director and wish I could see this thing go down the Quarter Mile straight at me!
Some serious bit of kit !!! looks amazing , sounds outstanding .. Veyron beater
a gorgeous car with a beast for a engine
2theclassics I will second that! Thanks for the compliments
11:43 his neck broken??
Wow!
Definitely some whiplash!
