The architecture really reminds me of the first Assassin's Creed, which makes sense after your explanation of the previous Muslim rule. What thing would you do again if you came back to the area?

The architecture is so fun! That’s a good question. I would like to go back to Nerja in the summer for more beach time, but I’d also go back to caminito del Rey since part of it was closed when we were there so I’d like to do the whole thing.

Going there on the first week of January, do you think I could go in the water ? I thought I heard you saying you went on December !!!

You definitely can! You won’t spend all day in the water but we did go in December and swam a couple times for about 15 minutes. It’s not super hot out and the water isn’t particularly warm but after exploring it’s refreshing. You could also rent a kayak and explore some of the coves if you’re wanting to spend more time on the water but not in the water. I wish we’d done that!

With just a day trip to Antequera we didn’t have time to see El Torcal but it looks like it would be a great addition if you have time 😊

Hey would you base yourself In Malaga and do a day trip to Nerja or base yourself in Nerja ?

Hi! I think it depends what your goal is. If you want to do other day trips like Caminito del Rey or Antequera staying in Malaga is more central. If you want to stay more than one day in Nerja especially if it’s the summer when you can spend more time exploring the beaches and doing water activities than we did in December I’d stay in Nerja. Malaga does have more to do though so it is easy to spend more than one day there as well.
I would probably stay a couple days in Malaga and a couple days in Nerja if we had the time. Sorry that probably doesn’t help 😅

Well, it lacks Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Fuengirola, La Cala de Mijas, Marbella, Puerto Banús...........

I don’t think those all fit in 4 days 😅 but those all sound amazing and I’d love to check them out on our next trip
