Hi yudi, wanna ask you that the universities waived off GRE scores because of the closure of the test center due to COVID, right? and they will start accepting it again after spring '23.
I have another question about the cancellation of GRE scores, they are cancelling only the ones that are taken from home? or the test centers too(I don't wanna write my exam in test centers with a mentality that there is no point of this exam,they'll waive off or cancel my scores any way)??

O1 is more suitable for a mid-career of senior academic moving from abroad to USA. IEEE fellow is quite a tough ceiling and needs at least 15-20 years of research after PhD
Not trying to critique your suggestion, but this is in no way an alternative to H1B. I feel 95 per cent of those applying for H1 do not meet the criteria as shown in the chart; we can infer that one has to be accomished or be kinda of a national importance .

It's an alternative for some. And that's what they are telling about. Not everyone qualifies for H1B too and not everyone gets to US ( admit and Visa ) too.
@@Propraj agree, not all qualify and can get H1B approval even after OPT, but H1B is used by many companies and widespread than even L1A or L1B, let alone O1

Hi, dropped out of computer science years ago but now have years of experience as a senior software engineer working for a large multinational corporation in Manchaster, UK, if my goal is to immigrate to the USA, is it more worth to go back to uni and get a degree or is it more efficient for me to focus more on becoming expert at my field and trying to meet more of those criteria mentioned in video? This video really helped me and many other viewers. I now know in a better way about O1 visa. But how is it better than H1B.!! You need to meet so many criteria which is not that easy. So in all I dont agree to O1 visa being easy than H1B.
Yeah I did not say its easy, I said its better :) because it almost validates you for EB1A category.

O1A - for engineers and other STEM streams
O1B - For arts/UX and creative streams

Can you answer something like " if a person holds a German nationality then he can apply for o1 visa in order to exempt h1b lottery? If yes then what agent you can prefer to contact in regard to this term?
Apologies to interrupt, but there is no such provision that if you have German passport, you can applyvfor O1 VISA. Applying for O1 is not based on birth country/citizenship status, it is on one's accomplishments.

Hi, i’ve applied for f1 visa from india! in my ds160 i mentioned about my uncle who lives in the US about sponsoring my education! but a few days after that i got accepted for a scholarship which will cover my whole tution and living expenses. I’ve my visa dropbox appointment in a few days and i was worried as i’ve seen when you mention about relatives living in the us then you may get your visa rejected as the visa officers might think im immigrating there. what should i do in this case? im quite worried about this. i was thinking of submitting a new ds160 with info without my relatives (they are not even blood relatives). do you think I should do that? Can you please help me w this? Will the officers check the previous ds160 and think im lying? Thank you!
Hi. People move to US for studies all the time having siblings or close relatives who have moved to the US and have been working prior.
How a visa officer would judge you on the basis comes to your responses as to why you want to study in the US and what your career plans are after. How it helps you develop perspective and problem solving, and your reasoning for that university, the specific course and how you intend to put the course to use. I spoke about how my field of study was up and coming in growth (renewable energy) in India and getting a US education gives me cutting edge knowledge for wide and cross functional applications.
It also comes down to your ties to India. If you have family, immediate ones in India and property attached to your family name those are all ties. I only had my family house, my immediate family and sibling in India, and no relatives in the US, during my appointment time I touched on the value of the education and university and professor I was working with. I got through it without an issue. Be confident and honest about your motives, and go in with an open mind about your future. If you attend the interview thinking this is your ticket to becoming a US citizen, the officer will know it. Instead have an open career outlook, this will also show the officer that you are not moving to the US because it’s US, but because it’s for your career growth and education.
just don't panic infront of the officers just try to prove them that you will not settle / immigrate there just try proving them that you are going for your education only

Hey Yudi J, I have a question about the education criteria needed applying for masters in us. I have education of 10+3+3 = 16 years because I have done diploma after 10th and now I'm currently doing my undergrad now which will be of 3 years instead of 4 years..So am I eligible for Fall 2023? I heard admission application requires at least transcript of 6 semesters. but I only have 4 now. Can I upload my Diploma transcript to make up for my 2 semesters would that work? Do I have to get them WES verified? I am looking forward for your response.

Apologies to @Yudi J for interfering w/o his permission, to answer, even I had a Diploma of 3 years and then direct admit to second year of BE Eng in India. I don't know in which year are you now in your Bachelors, but you can apply in advance too , but university will ask you to submit all the transcripts eventually. Till then, you can submit your GRE/GMAT , IELTS etc requesting the university with your condition. They might admit with a conditional status , again depends!!
I agree with what RM said. I am also a diploma student haha. You will be fine. Like RM said the university will eventually ask for it. but for application you can submit with what you got and WES is not needed for all the university, so check the one you are applying to and see if they need it.
