Lovelovelove your Vox collection!! My cousin brought his Royal Guardsman over to my house back in 1970 to let a new guitar playing kid work with a real amp, I was in awe and will never forget that!
The Royal Guardsman’s are such beautiful amps! And I thank you for your kind words
The AN color looks better in that finish.
I own one. It’s a lovely and great sounding guitar.
Great review by the way.
That performance of Julia was spectacular
Thank you 🙏!!!!
I know one dealer who had a run made of custom J200s from Gibson with the tune-o-matic bridges.
But you're right, that bridge makes a huge difference if you want that Harrison or Townshend or Led Zeppelin sound.
An absolutely beautiful piece of gear
Excellent review Paul! Was very curious to see a review of the SJ-200 after seeing you it on Insta. As it is already nails the sound of George’s for the most part. Can’t wait to see the mods!
Thanks as always Luke!!! Already got that crappy matte off 🤣
Man what a great guitar, certainly is on my list of dream guitars 🎸
What a fantastic video have a wonderful day Paul also congratulations ❤😊
Hey Paul, you did good for no editing!😄 She's got lots of sustain, that for sure. Not a fan of the matte finish either but that's not too difficult of a fix. I was actually expecting that you'd mod the case too, looking for those period correct latches!😂😂 Good score, thanks for sharing.👍👍
Well done great video great choice of songs
Thank you!!!🙏
I had an all-black SJ200 from around 2014, bought it the next year. One of the worst acoustics I ever had the misfortune of owning and playing. The tone sounded practically dead and I never felt inspired anytime I played it. Needless to say, that guitar is unceremoniously long gone. It sounds like Epiphone did what they could to give players affordability and quality for what this is. Hopefully, your video will persuade people's opinions on whether or not they want to pick one up. I'm certainly intrigued.
Hi, I had the same model since 2013 and it's extremely underwhelming.
THIS one is 7 times better, I own both abd have a rave review on my channel.
A great guitar got a great home 🎶👍Congratulations!
Thanks a lot!
If it had a gloss finish and thinner tone inner braces, I would buy one in a second
Nice review, how do intend to buff it, would be great to watch how you achieve that.
The pick guard matches your shirt.
I saved up and bought a gibson sj-200. I was on a wait list for 2 years and sadly it’s not my favorite guitar. It plays good enough and sounds fine but for 5k I want my butt to pucker when I play it lol. I have to say that J-45s are my favorite gibson acoustic. If I could trade the j-200 an EJ-160 I would
I'm not seeing it in person, but I think that finish is fine.
Do you like Vox amps?
I know you probably haven't played it but I wonder what you would think of the Sigma version of this, the GJA-SG200. It's also solid sitka spruce and just a bit cheaper. I had seriously been considering that one for a while. I didn't know epiphone just made this.
O wow I didn’t know these existed! I just looked them up and they are beautiful!
@@guitargearconnection Yes especially the Autumn burst J200. Seems they have copies of Martins and Gibsons.
The sigma is brilliant I've had 2 but they are only solid tops the inspired by gibson epiphone are all solid body they are brilliant guitars
@@guitargearconnection I have reviews of this guitar, Sigma solid-top and Sigma all-solid abd comparisons on my channel.
SIGMAs are NOWHERE near this Epiphone's tone, AT ALL.
They however are MUCH more comfortable and beautiful, they look deluxe.
@@richardsyoutubechannel995 No, there are 756 all-solid SIGMAs.
I have a review of an all-solid jumbo on my channel.
Hello, good review. I am very interested to see how the guitar will be after being polished (are you going to make a video ? would be great). IThis model interests me and I would like to do the same thing. That's the only point that made me not buy it
Thank you! And yes hopefully this weekend I can try making a quick video on it fully polished. It looks so much better now!
@@guitargearconnection Can't wait to see this. Thank you 😀
Noice
Thanks for revealing to the public what a financial mistake you made. Why didn't you purchase the regular Epiphone SJ-200 for $799.00 at Guitar Center?
lol well your just an asshole aren’t ya? I like this version better. Wood graining is better, headstock, neck, lots.
Do you know Jim Elia?
No I don’t! But if he’s still around, I would love to have a chat with him!
I spend money on equipment that makes money. It's not the price - it's "How much can THIS guitar make ME?" A creatively-inspiring acoustic might, but I've got those already, and those have made far more money. And will in the future. This is only a show-piece - a stage-piece, something that could be stolen.
I wish more demo's would choose Neil Young's TELL ME WHY from his AFTER THE GOLD RUSH album because it features some great growls on the bass E string. I don't really consider Jumbo's or Dreadnough's to be singularly defined by treble-chords - these are BIG bodies that should offer great bass tones. A sliding, walking bass line for example...
I received a scam saying I won one .what a let down.
Ugh that’s horrible! I see guitar scams all the time!
