    Loved your video made me chuckle. I usually fly United but Jet Blue is definately worth trying---an airline with a sense of humor in naming their planes.

    I would say the best aircraft names are on Jetblue's E190 with "My other ride is a jetblue A320", and its partner aircraft, jetblue's A320 with "My other ride is a jetblue E190"

    • @beyounged

    From watching many airline reviews I have concluded that selecting steak is unwise. Steak does not take kindly to being precooked and reheated/held over, so what is served is often overcooked and dry. JetBlue should be prepared to serve some kind of breakfast even when there's rough air. A candy bar doesn't cut it, especially for Business Class.

    • @beyounged
      @beyounged  Před 2 lety

      exactly! steaks have always been extremely difficult to even be decent in air. That "breakfast" was wild, at least an apple to go?

    We just flew the same route couple weeks ago and I must say I disagree on a couple of things. First of all we love the door! I gave you feeling privacy, which we all liked. Our meals were good, nothing special but very nice. Personally I really don’t care if I eat on the plane going there or not because we usually eat in the airport before we depart. The flatbed was extremely comfortable and roomie one of my favorite! I was even able to sit up on the top of the seat when it was flat and rest against just the backboard with the pillow behind me and really had a lot of extra room, which I thought was fabulous. Delta and Virgin Atlantic definitely have a better food selection but I thought this little pod was so much better than Delta or Virgin Atlantic’s business class/1st class. I was in a regular mint seat and my daughter was able to come and sit on the end of the bed when it was down while I was sitting at the top of the seat for a few moments, she’s an adult not a child. We didn’t have any turbulence either way but we’re speaking to a few others that said the wide bodies are much better and turbulence and they would toss around a little bit on a previous JetBlue fight. I thought it was really great for the price point and we definitely by JetBlue to Heathrow again.

    • @beyounged
      @beyounged  Před 2 lety +1

      I do agree with you on the bed, I gave it a 95% after all! Value on Jetblue on this route is very good, definitely you are right. Food side, I think having good quality food like on Virgin or BA that you CAN refuse if you ate at airport, is better than mediocre food that you have to eat if you are hungry. And my review is aimed to be as comprehensive as possible, so if you do not care about food, feel free to disregard any grading related to that. Turbulence is a major issue for narrow bodies when competitors' A380/773 fly higher and barely budge in storms. The door I do not think brings much privacy, as herringbone seats generally avoid the awkward stares across the aisle, and this door does not stop anyone in the aisle from seeing everything in your seat. All privacy is purely psychological, but if you liked it, you are way stronger than I am! I do think Jetblue is good on this route, if they add any lounge access, this would be one of the best ways to cross the Atlantic.

  • @ryanmatthew511
    @ryanmatthew511 Před 2 lety

    It is too dangerous if its that bumpy.... not unacceptable at all. We do not want dishes and silverware out and about during moderate turbulence,

    • @beyounged
      @beyounged  Před 2 lety +1

      I completely understand no standard service. But at least a packaged sandwich, or a banana, or anything to go without need for dishes or silverware should be served? They are options on the menu! Also turbulence was mild at most, they did not stop any people going to the bathroom and there was even a line sometimes.

    • @ryanmatthew511
      @ryanmatthew511 Před 2 lety +1

      @@beyounged good point on maybe having a backup breakfast option if it’s bumpy. I for one lean on absolute paranoia. Would rather keep the crew seated if we expect moderate turbulence. The fact it wasn’t bumpy doesn’t mean that it wasn’t expected. You hear of a lot of injuries these days during bumps , I’d rather people wait 30 minutes to eat and get upset then have anyone get hurt. Safety trumps all 100%

    • @beyounged
      @beyounged  Před 2 lety

      @@ryanmatthew511 oh you are absolutely right, safety 1000%. If I were the purser I would also discourage people from going to the bathroom, let alone lining up in the aisle. But in this case they just chilled in the galley for the entire time, saw a bunch of folks next to them waiting for their turn and did not say anything. So I believe they just did not want to do much, either enforcing safety by telling people not to wait in aisles, or serve anything other than a chocolate bar.

    • @buzzzeee
      @buzzzeee Před 5 měsíci +1

      You also must take into consideration: weight and balance, storage and space limitations as well as crew abilities / duties. Airlines don’t have the space to stock different foods to accommodate every flight variable that is dependent on bumpy vs non bumpy. You must know most of this food is thrown away for safety and isn’t held for maybe use on the next flight. It’s wasteful gastronomically as well as financially. And I’m sure the airline compensated you for any loss of food Or service.
      Also in regards to the bathroom line, They (flight attendants) are there to inform you of the danger and not enforce. If they’re in seat belts you should be too. They have a whole aircraft to possibly assist medically, not one or a few persons who failed to listen the the rules or instructions.
      All in all you looked well fed and seemed to have a nice flight.
