You can get a discount from HP just by asking! They may not do it all the time but they did it for me on 2 separate occasions. But one think is for sure, don't bother using 3rd party inks in your HP wide format printer

it maybe labeling, as HP have the 70/90/130 being a dye system, but the 70 cart is for the z series..maybe?
btw, do you know how I can get the printhead to move in the replacing position WITHOUT using the standard replace method? Doing the standard method causes all printheads to be checked and you end up with printhead warnings. Good videos! Keep em coming, and would love to hear more on the zseries as I use the 3200. I am looking to convert it to postscript, but...not gotten a clear method.

I just bought a z3200 as a used printer. 3 of the cartridges were third party manufactured cartridge and I was struggling with genuine glossy paper. The ink was coming off the paper I could wipe it off. I have bought a genuine HP cartridges to replace them. My question is how can I clean the old ink out of the ink system?

I actually filmed a video on that exact process. I just have to edit & upload it. You will want to purge the lines, the 3rd party yellow ink is the biggest problem for me. It clogs the printhead, permanently in my case, I had to buy a new one. I will try to get it uploaded by tuesday, if you can wait that long. I can't promise, but I'd like to help you out if I can. Thanks!

We recently acquired a Designjet Z2600. There seems to be no 3rd party inks for it but would not risk it since we also have a HP Laserjet Pro 200 and have bad experiences even with remanufactured toners also. Our smaller Epsons run 3rd party ink just fine.
We are still on the starter inks on the Z2600. Is the discount only when you buy all the inks at once? Ours is a 6 colour printer.
Thanks for your Designjet videos. They are very helpful.

Hello, I didn’t see your video on purging the 3rd party ink from the ho system. I recently did a belt change and needed a printhead. From there I decided on buying 3rd party ink set. The ink I bought says it’s pigment ink. How can I actually tell the difference between dye and pigment ink? Think I have bricked all the new print heads I just bought. Endless printhead errors. One finally passes and then the next one fails and start over again.

Hi. Which one fades faster original/OEM dye inks for HP or third-party? Thanks.
