Three months later, I’m happy they introduced this mode. Finally the guns are being put to use rather than building the Empire State after spotting an enemy.

Really hoping these are permanent modes. Building can be fun but it’s also exhausting when you shoot one guy and they build an entire city. It’s nice to just be able to play on the ground

Zero build in my opinion is one of the best things Fortnite has ever added to the game.
This game mode is sooooooo good. I stopped playing because of the spam building but recently came back to try the no build and absolutley love it. Now people that love building modes can play them and the people that love just straight battle royale action can have their fun too. Good move making this a permanent mode.

Same, I never liked building although I had to learn it way back in season 4 in order to not be deleted instantly. And with the new tryhard agenda I hated the game. Now I will give it a chance again.

You can already counter tanks by popping the hatch on the front and shooting the driver out or by aiming for the exhaust vents on the back.

I thought this would be the lamest thing ever. But it's actually so much fun. It speeds up the games dramatically, and it feels like ypu always have to get moving. Verry good

The game feels a lot less campy now because whilst you can hide inside buildings unlike other shooters your cover can be destroyed, forcing you to constantly be on the move.

What I personally love about no building is the fact that you have to strategise more on how to approach an enemy and how to have the upper hand instead of mindless building. This is the most i have enjoyed this game in a long while!

I’m new here. I’m typical oldschool player raised on Quake and Unreal Tournament. I respect Fortnite, but this game wasn’t for me. I'm pretty lazy to learn how build. It is too difficult for me. Without these skills play Fortnite doesn’t make sense. Since last big update finally build is over. So I decided back to game. Now game is much easier for new players. However I still see place for improvements, especially in no build mode. Sprint is ok, parkour is ok, but there is problem with close combat. There is no mechanics to avoid attacks from close combat. In classic Fortnite we have build meachanic, so If someone attack us, we can fast create wall to block bullets. In no build mode not. So, how about add in no build mode special movement system. Add ducks. It called dodging in Unreal Tournament and this system works great. It’s very usefull and skillful and Epic knows how does this (They created UT). With this mechanics player has chance to survive close combat if he dodged well. It still depends how are you good at this. That’s all. Tell me what do you think about this feature. In my opinion it could help new players be better and matches will be more interesting.

I actually hope when they add building they remove sprinting and climbing plus over shield that just gonna make the game harder to kill players especially sweats mechanics like that feel like should just be in no build only

Great trailer, and gonna be a great mode. This gives you options on how you want to play, with your sweaty skills in standards, or a no builds mode to play differently. That keeps your options fresh

Do you think it would be cool if fortnite made it so that you where still able to unlock skin edits from past seasons that you didn't get, either just by doing challenges or just buying it with V bucks? Personally I have some skins I regret not being able to get what do you think? I think it would be neat to see.

For a long time i refused to play this game because of this building mechanic, but when this came out i tried it and was hooked. I love it, just way too late.
Update: i love building too now. I learned it quickly by playing with others and pretty much play only building currently.

im by no means a bad builder, perhaps above average on building and editing but never liked it. i dont want to have to shoot someone and get a damn sky scraper to shoot at to find them. zero build is honestly super nice as im never into building just gunplay

I love this because now battles won’t take 5 hours because sweats constantly build and edit for most of the battle it’s all regular combat and it’s more balanced

This pretty much brought back to the game. I stopped playing specifically because I couldn't stand the building.

All you had to do is remove turbo building which is the worst option to ever be added to the game because it allows people to spam build. Then maybe limit building materials to 500 instead of 1000 it would’ve been completely fine
Play Creative on maps without turbo build, since there's an option to do it

If you have to play in a private session it defeats the purpose. You had to confirm lay every single build with a click...it would literally reduce build times by half as you cant just spin in a circle and spam. Here's the real point: fortnite battle royale became popular because of the building aspect that set it apart from the other BRs, and many would care if turbo building is gone because they would concur what I said is a 100% fact and the reason this mode is doing so well right now despite building being 100% gone because the spam building was the problem that made it unfun. "kids cracking 90s" wasnt a thing until turbo building. Now, thanks to the fact 'there's no spam build, there's not the characteristic you guys dislike but we removed building al together which defines the game", everyone still comes back because its better than spam building. You better don't suggest much of anything as you are a Zoomer. Basically you dont see the problem which exists because of that fact.

OG Skully here, used to play Fortnite EVERY SINGLE DAY. Got sooooo tired of trying to keep up with the build meta. I’m back in my element just like the old days.
