- Another update on my progress. Geographically it doesn't look like much changed, but remember this is a 4x. So in the last 3 months I have decorated roughly half a normal-sized map. There are 3 new farms, a new custom production chain, BGA, a muck-out manure pit, and enhanced forestry dynamics.
I feel like I'm on the downhill run now, not making as many silly mistakes as I did at the start and I have a clear plan for the rest of the map now.
I need to teach myself how to do water.
I hope it will be finished mid-year, but I have a young family and only so many hours in the day (night).

@Hilly Farms yes, but I am spending a TON more time in Blender right now. Made 8 farm buildings, and working on a Cow Barn right now. Putting in a lot more time into the design and functionality of the map. I want to try and make the Farms feel like your actually in the area with buildings and layout of the farm lands.
@@ChumpyFarmer Nice! Are they modern-looking (sheet metal etc) or older (barn-shape etc)? I played in Blender for my map boundaries... that's when I decided to make the map entirely with game and mod assets, 😆. It's definitely on the to-do list though, I'm messing with building colors a bit but only by editing the diffuse file, the other files confuse me. Did you consider adding blueberries to your map? I know it can be done pretty easily by editing olives... but I don't know what to do about blueberry image files.
@@hillyfarms I am not sure if you are from the area. But I have tried to build up the farm just off #1 between watcom and cole rd. They are metal siding/roofing. cement walls for manure and bulk storage. I am still a ways from adding fruits. I think thats going to be a task for sure. flat walls, I can make my way through. foliage with stems, leaves, berries.... my head is already spinning. lol
@@ChumpyFarmer I'm from Van but I just checked Gmaps and I recognize that farm. That's a great representation of the area. I thought that might be the case regarding the blueberries. Let me know if you want to collaborate on anything, I also have a ton of questions about your experience releasing the map too.
