Map Beta Release Announcement
The Beta Release is now available to the public!
There is still work to do and I could use your help finding things to fix. Everything is functional, but not very well balanced. The testRunner is a bit messy but I'm currently tidying things up and I hope I'll get a pass in the next week. I won't be releasing this on ModHub for FS22 but the final version will always be freely available on itch.io.

I've been quiet because I have been learning some blender and building a border. The real Fraser Valley is spectacular, and big. It is really important to me that the FVBC Map captures this. The new border covers 100km (60mi) North/South and 60km (40mi) East/West, I'm pretty sure that's the biggest in FS, fwiw. Another update on my progress. Geographically it doesn't look like much changed, but remember this is a 4x. So in the last 3 months I have decorated roughly half a normal-sized map. There are 3 new farms, a new custom production chain, BGA, a muck-out manure pit, and enhanced forestry dynamics. Very good looking map borders. Never seen it on this level before. Big compliments. This map might be my reason to play on a US Canada map again.
I agree, not enough detail on NA maps. Also, this part of Canada has a climate a bit closer to Western Europe and lot's of Euro migrants back in the day so farming styles are similar.

Really? cool! The Beta and final versions will be by donation but free to download through patreon and github. The final release might be on modhub, depends on announcements from giant's about the next game. Guilt-trip > Pay-wall.

Really looking forward to this map - I've been following this map for a while and it's something very different to my normal map style - but am sure it's going to be one of my favourite maps. A job very well done - and the drivng wasn't bad either at the end!

Question for you since you're here... Do you think the 'near mountains' in the West, North, and North-East need decoration trees (billboarded)? Or do you think the satellite image of the forest is ok as is? Or perhaps a compromise of just a thin scattering of trees to give some depth? What do you think?🌲🌲🌲⛰⛰⛰?
How does it look in winter? I guess that might matter? But I don't have any modding experience. Either way, love your work mate. Keen as to do a playthrough on my little channel.
Trees certainly add depth - that would be my vote, even if it's just a thin scattering to enhance it even more!

Being from Oregon, I really like northwest maps.
This is a absolutely wonderful looking map. The amount of thought and care you have put in is truly amazing, thank you so much for all the hours you have put in.

Looks like a really good map, great work.
Love the production and the effort put into it. Not sure about the layout (mostly the double output lime/cement, could that be side by side vice tandem? - or the Concrete output being so tight) but that's a minimal headache. Understand the belts are a bit of a requirement, can't help but wonder if there was a way to have a stationary belt to make it less "fiddly" (channeling my inner SealyP there).
Thanks for the feedback, the concrete output is a bit tight, that's easy to fix. The mixer trucks I used were quite big too. TBH the lime/Cement output are like that bc the prefab pipe is the way it is. I agree the double outputs are a bit fiddly to set up, but in a good way and when it is balanced it I hope it will be something you can setup the walk away from. You can always use distribution too. 🙂

That’s an awesome job. The amount of detail you put in this production it’s amazing. You have built the one of the best concrete productions in farm sim. I cant wait till you finish the map and release it. I will put in a lot of hours playing this map for sure.
