I think the biggest problem people continually overlook is AD. I'm sorry but hes the issue. I love him but he has gotten injured EVERY SEASON on the lakers. People forget that the BUBBLE season he ALSO got injured in the finals but because its the finals they literally forced him on court to play. If not for the huge layoff between the regular season and the bubble resumption he probably would have gotten injured earlier

Exactly, the most important stat is GP (games played). Even if you can average 50pts triple double, if you're only available 30 games per season you're not helping out your team at all. Hope he can stay healthy. Same goes for PG, Kawhi and all of the other superstars.

Sometimes you have to wait for the right trade. Especially since the Lakers didn't have any leverage at the beginning of the season. It is looking up but Pelinka will have to make a bigger splash. Rui is perfect from a depth perspective though.

LeBron made his choice, he wanted AD they got him AD, he wanted Russ they got him Russ, he wanted the max they gave him the max. Those are things LeBron wanted, and the result of that is that 70% of the Lakers salary goes to 3 players, leaving just 30% for the other 11 players on the roster, and the team is way over the cap. You cannot have ANY expectations of having a deep bench or great supporting cast once you make those decisions. Keep in mind that only LeBron, AD, Damian Jones, and Max Christie are NOT free agents next summer and you have a situation where you literally cannot make moves. If LeBron wants to blame someone he should blame himself.

I’m going to have to disagree with Chris on the lakers wasting LeBron’s greatness. Lebron is in a much more advanced stage of his career, compared to Lillard or Curry.
