Simple, easy UI. AI voices sound pretty darn good. Real world procedures. No "climb this descend this" every 10 seconds. As a real world pilot and avid simmer, this is going to be a must have. Been wanting this for yeeeeeeeears

@@fakeshrew I see this as a training ground g=fot VATSIM, I hope they can collaborate. It also will enable you to do ATC over a bigger area if VATSIM is not available when you fly.

And yeah, they could also put a course with this onto the pilot training centre for the newbies .

Absolutely amazing and not even fully finished with the video. This is going to be a smash hit among the community, you should be proud of what you’re putting together and this will easily be one of the must have addons for MSFS.

The fact that you are exactly the right amount of hyped about a horrible but realistic sounding ATIS makes me love this project even more. :)
I can see this being very useful for people trying to learn how to talk with ATC and aviation phraseology and for those maybe afraid of going onto vatsim AND at least you have full coverage across any region you fly. Will definitely check this out
it’s not just fear of vatsim, it’s the practicality of it. at the times i can fly, in the places i want to fly, vatsim is almost always dead. it’s a great concept, it just doesn’t always work.

This dude should do more full flights, there's a shortage of MSFS chill dudes who aren't hype beasts, and choose to actually use the sim realistically. I love these type of videos.
Finally someone makes a GOOD modern ATC for MSFS. I've been waiting for something like this since FS2004 and finally in 2023 it looks like we might get it. Looks very promising 😀👍

Amazing. Very straightforward and easy to pick up and learn. The e tire community is grateful to you guys for this new addition to MSFSs immersion.
What a great product for beginners so they can get comfortable with ATC before using Vatsim or those starting their aviation journey in the real world. Another aid is listening to real life ATC on the internet. Most pilots will tell you that the majority of contact with ATC is very routine and almost word for word what a pilot is expecting. Like in most things in life repetition is the key. Thanks again for a great ad on!

I've been waiting for something like this for so long! Not currently playing the sim because it's too much of a distraction from work. But when you release this, I will have to jump back in. This is really a game changer and brings a whole new sense of reality. I remember back 20 years ago one program had ATC and they could direct you from takeoff into intercepting the ILS....and being able to use a headset with voice recognition is just unbelievable and totally makes this feel so more realistic. I'm not wealthy but I would pay whatever it costs without making a peep. You've invested thousands of hours into this with a whole team and you've probably spent a fortune. So glad to reward you for your risk. Also, looking forward to how the system works with VFR general aviation flying.
This will make flying to unpopular areas sooo much more fun.

Wow. ATC has really come along way. I've been away from the FS world for a few years but I still watch FS videos (too busy with work stuff). From what I can see, the issue with VATSIM is that you never know what you're going to get. The level of experience, maturity, and "professionalism" varies widely (although you could argue that even in the real world, pilots AND controllers can get stupid and immature sometimes 🤷♂). Personally, I think Steam is best left to the gamers. And as mentioned in this video, coverage may not be available depending on where you're flying. So I think you guys are definitely headed in the right direction with this 👍.
I can't believe we'll finally have such a realistic offline ATC, this simply looks beautiful! Keep up the incredible work, you guys are doing great. :D
I really wonder if it will simulate VFR communications too, it would be an absolute game changer for literally everyone who uses MSFS.

As a current real-world 737 pilot and ex-military pilot I endorse this add-on. What I don't endorse are vehicles randomly screwing around on the runway when cleared for take-off but that's Asobo's fault.... You are on a winner with this product.

Very impressive and easy to use will see what final product provides. Tbh I get lazy and doubt would use every flight but can see it being used with copilot option alot which is great. Best wishes on the continued development.

I keep telling folks that, what with tech like ChatGPT and other language learning algorithms there's just no reason we can't have realistic, flexible ATC in a simulation these days. This is already my new favorite ATC addon!!! :D I'm currently using Pilot2ATC, which is working great. :) But I really love the "almost human" interaction of the AI, which is non-existent (Well, DUH!!!) in P2A.

Can't wait to see this plug in come to life! Something MSFS was desperately needing. Many people don't want to go full hog in to VATSIM and this hits that market beautifully. One of the main reasons for flight simming is the amount we learn and grow and this will be a great tool for facilitating that growth in MSFS.

Noice! The only comment I have about the digital ATIS is that yes it's robotic at Bravo and most Charlie airports, but some Charlie and most Delta towered airports have a voice recorded ATIS (when the tower is open, then it uses the digital automated when the tower is closed). Also, I don't understand why, but the AWOS and ASOS at untowered airports is typically more modern and clear sounding digital speech. I don't know why.

For those asking about *VR*, apparently the UI isn't necessary if you are using voice to interact. It was also mentioned that one can use the keyboard numbers so personally, I'll just bind those to the stick if I don't feel like talking. It would be nice if they'd implement it though as I wouldn't think that having a window show up in VR would be that intensive but I'm not a dev...
Off course, while flying you don't want the window in sight. Still, it's always nice if you can set an add on without having to go out of vr. It's nice to have.
I think at least the speech to text dialog could be replicated for VR users on read backs as you can't really write things down easily in VR.
