I bought it at 52k kilometers, now it has 202k kilometers and I actually didn't have any problem with the motor or stuff yet. Really couldn't be more happy. I chipped it to 300 HP and got a sport chassis etc. I initially got the car because a friend of mine had a MPS BK (I got the BL) and was very happy with it, he also told me that he never had any major issues with the car although he drives quite crazy at times. So in short: My baby is still going hard after 4.5 years and it looks better then ever =D

Stupidity of this question is beyond belief. I reccomend you to learn some physics (or drive a car on raceway) to find an anwser. If your thesis is correct then there should be just 1 gear in every diesel engine - lots of torque (LOL!?!?). I hope you're just trying to troll.
I bet your diesel is linked to automatic transmission. I suggest you to read en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gear_ratio. Maintaining higher revs in turns helps you to controll vechicle better and transmit some of centrifugal force through drive shaft into your engine (that gives you more accurate controll over speed when it's nessesary LOL?!?!).
Marian Kowalski wrong - i use stick. Natural aspirated and turbocharged engines requires slightly different shift manner. Anyways - i gave you my advice, you gave me yours. Be safe!
Marian Kowalski i think alexsch52 is referring to the 4 or 5 times that the driver downshifted to somewhere between 6-7k rpm when he was about to accelerate out of a corner. in these cars theres no real reason to downshift to a gear where rpm will be any higher than 5k or so (when you start accelerating... obviously decelerating is fine). ...Not that im a professional race car driver or anything. i do own a 2010 speed3 though

It's even more impressive knowing the car is stock (the suspensions of the 3 mps are notorious for being rather soft), very good driving mate !
