#comedy - Komedie
Rest in Peace, Doreen Mantle. She was wonderful as Mrs Warboys.
I will never get tired of this show, what truly unique sitcom.
" Get your bloody nose out of that bread bin "
Genuinely the most underrated comedy ever made
Victor saved my life ....when I was very ill I just kept watching One Foot and he brought me back .THANKYOU ! As they say...laughter is the best medicine ! The car and mattress in his skip 🤣🤣🤣 genius 🥳 Thankyou Mr. Renwick and all cast and crew ...especially Richard W. 🥰
¹.
John Sullivan was inspired by news stories about couple who had bought their own
It sure is . I loved this back in the 90’s just found it again 💕🤣
My favourite sitcom ever. I am glad Victor worked his magic for you.
I have to say that One Foot in The Grave was and is my favorite British Comedy.
As a young man I loved this show and now after all these years I am a Victor Meldrew😂😆
Ray Winstone. Brilliant. That whole ep was genius.
I am in live with British comedies 😂❤😅 greetings from Bucarest ROMANIA 🍀☀️🌹🍀🤞
Used to watch one foot in the grave with my dad. Victor is a legend lol 😂
One of the best series post 80's.
I cant hear that song without picturing victor on that ride on mower
I cried in the episode when Victor died.....he was like everyone's miserable Grandad. Such a classic show.
David Renwick doesn't get quite as much recognition as other comedy writers unfortunately.
Yet he wrote a fair few Two Ronnie's sketches!
For the life of me I can not fathom why this show has not received the accolades it deserves. I place it in my top 5 favorite TV series and I'm 58yrs old. I've always said the British will always kick our ass at comedy.
It was on TV every day for 20 years in the UK
It commonly ranks amongst the best British sitcoms of all time, and was massively popular when it was broadcast.
Where u from, if America US, has some good comedies, Married with Children being my fav us comedy, Seinfeld, Friends, Family guy, Big Bang Theory, Fraser, Mash etc etc
One foot in the grave My all time favorite comedy show great show 👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
"or 3 for 150" 🤣🤣🤣
I have such a crush on Mr. Swainey. He's so ridiculously adorable
I just got to the lawnmower part. Dont know when I've laughed so much.😂😂😂
One of my all time favourite shows…😂😂😂
I don't believe it!
One Foot in the Grave was awesome. My favorite is when Victor, while looking to get help for Margaret, Jean Warboys, and the neighbor, stumbles across a retirement home where the residents are being abused by the staff. Victor takes things in hand and helps the residents get revenge.
This is an episode (there were 2 or 3) that the BBC almost didn't allow on the air. The depiction of care at old age homes, while maybe realistic, was considered to be...unhelpful?
@@howardkerr8174 what others did they almost not allow to be shown? To be honest, I’m surprised that they agreed to make the show at all, given how dark it was.
Heart of darkness I think the episode is called I have them all including Christmas specials on dvd
There were a few complaints about the amount of animals they killed like roasting tortoises etc lol some people hey no animals were harmed
In that episode woman that was locked in the cupboard played Margaret mother's voice when she died and had left voice mail on answering machine
This is still my all time fave comedy
je me rappelle qu'ils mettaient ces épisodes tous les matins à la télé, pour apprendre l'Anglais sans douleur !
Just love this series which I unfortunately missed after leaving the UK in 1982. However my sister sent me some DVDS of the series which I thoroughly enjoyed. Love the Meldrews' pretty little house.
It is a pretty house!
True story as told by Richard. He was in an open top car in a traffic jam and losing patience. Someone called out "Calm down Victor!"
Great Actors. Great show.
I met him at an event I was marshalling years ago, he is very handsome in the flesh, beautifully dressed and very sweet and kind I fell completely in love with him.
As long as you don't say "I don't believe it" 😅
Typical comment from a Russian spy.
@@Ndlanding what???
Love the scene Later on with the reader digest junk mail. Victor meldrew Margaret meldrew and the man in the shed. One of the best comedy’s ever made victor meldrew was awesome. Nippy he doesn’t look very nippy from where I’m standing. Absolutely wet myself laughing at the scene when victor mows the carpet stoned out of his mind, the look on Patrick face is priceless
It was a credit card not readers digest lol the readers digest thing was another episode where Patrick sent them a dead rat.
He was not stoned, he was high on cocaine lol stoned is when you smoke weed
I'm 29 years old.
This comedy is brillant.
I understand now old people.
Let's go brandon PS
Respect to Canadian truckers.
Favorite show combination of Comedy and drama and that show in the last show in the series.very well written difficult to watch about what happened to victor
j'ai tous les DVD de cette série, tiens, je vais les ressortir ce soir ! extraordinaire !
Classic stuff. Also, attention to detail like a double adaptor on top of the single socket in his shed, and then there's the number plate with 666 on it in the other shed.
My late mum looked like Margaret.
"there's a man living in our shed"
Loved this program ❤❤
The other two look like gloria Hunniford😂🤣😅🤣😂😅🤣😂😅🤣😂
Ha ha...he's always having a pop at Gloria Hunniford....anyone remember the one when they're going on holiday and he sprays insect repellant at the t.v. screen to get rid of her ?!! 😂🤣🤣
Buon giorno a voi! Bravi tutti voi! 😂😂😂😂😂Good! Grazie!
🤣🤣🤣🤣 so funny, thanks so much for sharing
My favourite British comedy
I try to get people interested in this terrific show but friends have never heard of it/seen it.
When this was first shown on my local PBS in the early 90s it was paired with Waiting For God, and was scheduled late on a sunday night. I thought from the titles that both programs were typical, boring, religious themed " yawners ". Then one night when I couldn't sleep I turned them on.
I thought that I had seen nearly the whole series, but obviously have not as this is all new to me.
My favorite episode? Difficult to chose, all were brilliant. As a car lover, I guess I would say Avenging Angel is my favorite.
The folks involved with this series...you are all tops in your field.
This is just what happened to me also.
Hahahaha, wonderful. My first time seeing this one, I love it! Thanks so much.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏👏👏😆
One more thing ! Have just read some posts about animals in the programme...I saw Richard Wilson in an interview and he said he always dreaded reading the script in case there were animals involved because he knew there would be more complaints !!! They didn't actually freeze a cat !!!
Or burn a tortoise 🤣
Of course, most of the viewing public are mongs.
I'm proud to say I'm 33 but already just like Victor 😊 luckily I don't suffer travel sickness though
Love this aswell so cool 😎 going along time now the old ones are the best
Magic 🇬🇧 British 🇬🇧 Top 🇬🇧 Comedy 🇬🇧 @ 🇬🇧 It's 🇬🇧 Best 🇬🇧 !!!!
Shame half the scenes are missing......great episode! Fave one is the one where Victor is a chauffeur! 😂
Briliant humour and so different
Can't stop laughing 🤣!
Superb
I 1st watched this in 1991, then it was "Have I Got News for You" on a Friday evening, very happy times. Where has the time gone and why is the BBC now so shite?
Can anyone remember the one where they had tickets for not sure where to , think it was either The Theatre or the Airport???? but they arrived a day early .
I think it's - 'We Have Put Her Living In The Tomb' Series 2, Episode 2.
And they were given tickets to Ler Miserables but they arrived a year early 🤣
@@stinameaner thanks that sounds like it, hope somebody reacts to it
Yep
When the BBC licence fee was worth paying
I don't care what anybody thinks, Annete Crosby is an absolute babe 😍😍
@ 17:30.. is that the actress who played Dawn in The Office?
It's Lucy Davis, yes
Jasper Carrots daughter.
Good spot!
So funny. Even if I have. Seen. Them all. Before.
And Bobby Albert and Billy 😅
I have every episode on Dvd
Seriously!? You say the best bits and have scenes relating to the dog Mrs Warboys wants to give Victor but leave out the actual moment when Mrs Warboys brings Nippy around and Victor sees it was a stuffed dog all along!
I don't believe it!
Hilarious
to dennis and margerit i love u
Three for a hundred and fifty
😢😢❤🎉
ok
One of Britain's best all time classic sitcoms. They don't make shows like this anymore it wouldn't be aired anyway due to wokeness of today's society. Victor Meldrew one of my fave characters. I often get called Victor Meldrew due to my constant moaning lmao
I Don't Believe it!!!!
17:27 I am all for country gals if they look like her.
Just too many annoying adverts
Either get adblock or if on the app just skip to the end and restart. They go away then
That sounds like something Victor would say 🤣🤣🤣
@@lyntaylor4131 I don't believe it ! 😆
Aw . Back when comedy wasn’t funny. Good times
What is it with these FUCKING ADVERTS YOU TUBE
So youtube and youtubers get their money that's why youtube is free apart from CZcams premium you have to pay for youtube without adverts it has to be paid and run some how
There are best bits?
There certainly are but only for people with a sense of humour. An anal retentive might struggle to find them.
@@SpeccyMan , not just anal retentives, but simple minds with no sophistication would find them hilarious!
Good TV show but Never trust the BBC.
