Where’d you get your slippery elm bark, I ordered some off amazon, followed these instructions and it came out like liquid not gel.

I got mine from mountain rose herbs. That's interesting that it came out that way. I'll stay away from amazon!

Usually you'll need to put it in warm water and leave it overnight for at least 8 hours. That's how it works with mine. When I wake up it already looks like gel. But it is indeed hard to separate the gel from the slivers of bark... Still struggling with this process myself.

I don’t see why you couldn’t use it for that. They have Slippery Elm in capsule form you can use to increase wetness
