To each their own but I am always in 1st gear at lights for better reaction time if someone behind me isn’t stopping.
. Or...from ANY direction
100% it's taught everywhere to always be in 1st gear... those few seconds of panicking to get into gear when someone is zoomin towards you could mean your life!
Sometimes you need to let your hand rest. I've had my hand cramp after a long ride in city traffic.
I was once stopped in traffic on the highway (lane splitting is illegal here) when I heard tires screeching directly behind me. Being in first gear, I took off and cut between cars ahead of me. When I looked back, I saw a car had skid to a stop in space I was previously occupying.
It’s awesome when dads help. My dad and I literally only connect over motorcycles and it feels great when we do
Enjoyed seeing the cars and the bikes, glad you went... I like your idea that they should call these shows "Cars, coffee and Bikes"... I also always check out the bikes first and then the cars.
“...we’re all sweatin’ our proverbial balls off here..”

🤣🤣🤣😭 ☠️
Lali I just found your channel the other day when you were going to Girls Ride Out with Doodle. I was excited to see you on the roads I normally take. It's nice to see someone local representing.
I'm really enjoying your channel. The content is down to earth and an enjoyable watch. Thanks for your videos.
Awesome video! Fun watching you ride and seeing the car/bike meet 😎👍
7:23 for me its the other way around. Im often shifting into neutral while trying to find second gear😅
Gp shift?
hard for me to get into N from 1st gear as well,I just ride a bit in 2nd then into N
Way easier to get it if I'm in 2nd gear
Then people wondering why you’re revving your bike suddenly
Keep pulling that lever until it hits the stop. If you're having an issue with how far you naturally pull it, consider adjusting it down a bit. There'll be a "happy" position for it where it works a treat in both directions.
Remember kids, the bike needs to fit you. Not the other way around. There's adjustment in all the levers and it can make a world of difference to riding comfort. That, in turn, improves performance. You spend less time thinking about operating the controls and more time focusing on how the bike feels like an extension to your body.
Love your channel. Safety tip its best to be in gear at traffic lights and to keep an eye on mirrors its for a quick get away if the vehicle behind is not slowing down. Plenty of riders have been rear ended.
Also...
Always go to the front of the traffic light line for that same purpose of avoiding being rear ended... especially when it's raining. Great tip about leaving your bike in gear.... stay up!!
@@06750here unfortunately filtering isn't allowed in a lot of places in the U.S., including where Lavi rides.
@@ChuckTravels ... even if it's illegal, I've ALWAYS done it. Call me scared to NOT do it!! Experience has shown me that coffin drivers don't have alot of awareness, especially around a stop light.
Your channel is such a breath of fresh air. Thanks Lali. Me and my little ninja 400 love you.
Just ordered my Fantik Tire Inflator thanks Lali ! Also love your videos !
Love the content, as always! Seeing Andy was a blast from the past, I haven’t seen his vids in a while, definitely gotta find his page!
Love the videos! I used to be a die hard fan of always giving the best gas to my babies (bikes), but after watching the engineering explained video about it, my view of it has changed a bit, i'd recommend watching that too, especially with current fuel prices.
left foot down clutch preloaded in first gear always at every stop no matter what! except for uneven ground ! ride safe !!! much love !
Bought the Fanttik Tire Inflator per your recommendation and unfortunately had to use it. The tire was completely flat, plugged the hole, and had no problem inflating the tire to get me home. I've used it on my car tires. Great product!
I’ve seen a bunch of other CZcamsrs use it too, im def gonna pick one up to have just in case
Thanks for the tire inflator link. Just ordered it. Happy riding.
I love your videos. You have such awesome tips and suggestions!
Good one Lali. Cool bikes, cars, and pickup trucks. And yes. Yes you can say balls. Shadetree Army approves.
Always entertaining watching a video of you!
This was a fun video Lali!
You are always a pleasure to watch.
I was watching the video then suddenly your dad started talking and I'm like.. wt... no waaay... 😂😂
Cool video! I love going to Cars and Coffee. Always a good time.
Hey there Lali. Greetings from Romania. I've noticed you have the Romanian flag on your jacket and I've heard your dad talking in Romanian and it was a big surprise for me.
You have a nice channel. I saw some of your content and I find it very nice and well filmed. Great job. I'm a big motorcycle fan even if I don't own one. I hope in the next few months I'll get a Kawasaki Vulcan S 2022. I like your Yamaha MT-07. It's a nice bike but I kinda prefer more cruiser style bikes. Great job with your channel and I hope to see more interesting content here. Cya!
Ayyyy it’s Andy! Oh and whenever I have a hard time finding neutral I let out the clutch slightly to the friction zone and that usually gets the gear in place then I can get in neutral easily
Holy crap you know Andy! Haven’t seen that guy in forever from SS717
Good call stopping by the car wash, always better to be safe than sorry. 👍🏼
“Sweatin my balls off, am I allowed to say that on yt?” I find myself askin this all day recording 😂 always like damn gotta cut that out
😂😂 I found out I can, just not in the first 30 seconds apparently
That trans am! I used to have a '99 trans am WS6. Such a fun car. Definitely one of the vehicles I've owned that I really regret selling. I'll never forget driving it across the country from Norfolk, Va to Sacramento, Ca. Got it up to 143 going across Nebraska on I-80 😂
Hi Lali. Great channel and enjoy your friendly, down to earth personality. About two weeks ago my son was looking for a nice road bike, so I recommended he check out your vids. He did and was sold. Within the last week he luckily found a very nice 2018 MT07 (only 4500 miles) which he now owns. I took it for a spin today and really enjoyed it. Peppy little booger and handled great. Really a very cool, stylish and impressive machine. His pops into neutral super easy. I am for staying in gear at lights, but there are times when you need two hands to do stuff (watch your mirrors). Maybe engage the clutch just a bit, disengage and try again. Thanks for the great vids. Take care.
Bought the Fanttik before finishing the episode lol Thanks for the promo code and everything!
Lancaster Cars and Coffee is always an awesome meet, just got my new 2022 MT-07 and hoping to take it to some meets next year!
Damn I remember seeing you and Andy at some event ….I think streetspeed was there too man time flies that was ages ago
Probably Cecil county drag strip, or another drag strip event lol, I'd always go with Andy to those
That's awesome you got to see your friend. God bless
You are right in my backyard, and are missing some of the best roads and sights
Awwww Lali said, "Balls!"
great video!
Love your videos ❤
Nice vid. Thanks
i run no less than 91oct! great video
I take a punch and put a hole in the end of the oil filter and let the oil drain. Then just through it away. Also the pocket air compressor is a must saved me once when I had a flat. Was able to pump it up enough to get the bike into the shop for a tire replacement.
I love cars, bikes, and trucks. I was thinking if I hit the lotto, I’d buy a small 2 bedroom house with a 6 car garage to park all my bikes.
I saw an old dodge power wagon suv riding though Hummelstown the other week. Those old cars are so cool. Especially when the owner takes care of them. I love riding in Hershey when the antique auto show is town but living here when the park is open is atrocious. Nobody knows where they're going and they change lanes without looking or signaling
Hey Lali thanks for the 411 👍 never know when you're gunna need it. Especially when you can chec air pressure.
Hi, upon arrival you are supposed to shout: " We come in peace. "
I shop at that mall often! I heard about the wheelie issue that day! Hope they can continue to have the car show there. Looked hot though☀️
Ce tere, n am crezut ca tatal tau e de-al nostru 😂🥰

@@AntiParallali aaa ce tare, nu ma asteptam deloc. Mai ales sa intru pe un video de acolo si sa aud asta.
Btw felicitari pt content. 🥰
What no slo-mo oil change 😳
That's what dads are for 😁😁😁
Maybe do a vLog on puncture repair kits/fixing a puncture.
You get what you give in this world.
If Carlsberg made motorcyclists they'd be called Lali.
If you have difficulty finding neutral, put it in first gear and let the clutch out just enough it grabs a bit. You should then be able to shift to neutral.
It’s just the transmission gears are slightly out of alignment to get into neutral.
The r6 is an awesome bike 🏍 😎
ive noticed on the mt range and xsr range that rocking the bike or just a little throttle can help find neutral easier, well... works for me hope it helps :)
While in 1st gear let the clutch out just a little until it starts to grab then come to complete stop. Then pull the clutch in and lightly click up👍🏻 works every time promise
7:05 ayyy shout out to the boy Kilacam. Awesome video sis and just brought my first bike yesterday 2018 MT-07 and dayum she's nice.💯
Heyyy congratulations! Ride safe, I know you'll enjoy it!
Great video Lali. Surprised there weren't more bikes there. Guess the heat detoured people coming out.
I think so haha but we also got there kind of late because of our adventure
The word u were looking for is “deterred”.
Detour is when u want to go one way but can’t, due to an obstruction and have to use a different route to arrive at ur destination.
Google the big words u want use to make sure they mean, what u think they mean.
Maybe next time ur should keep it simple. Use the word “kept”.
@@realBkay Maybe next time you should Google the proper spelling of "you" and "your", and also look up when "you" is used instead of "your".
Could have used that portable air inflator on a recent ride when I picked up a nail… 😑
Will definitely be getting one
you, always poking the wrong octane with the pump. 🤣
Yes 🤣 ... I mean technically 87 was correct according to the owner's manual but yeah not what I wanted
Neutral hack: slowly shift to neutral as you’re coming to a stop, like around 3mph etc. works every time
Wow, even my 87 model Kawasaki 250 four wheeler has a sight glass, with low & full marker's.
Hopefully he doesn't forget to tighten that back next time.
Did he check the oil level when he made it home later? It was probably a little bit low after that.
Maybe it's just how my shifter lever is positioned, but I find it easier to push the lever forward instead of upwards when trying to find neutral. Maybe it works for you too.
hola , yo tengo uno de esos , es espectacular ....saludos desde chile...
I love ladies that aren't afraid to get dirty and work on their own bikes. 👍
HOWdy LALI,
Thanks for talking US along

Guess some other bikes showed up after all! I don't know how it is with an R1, but on my Daytona (955) I can do an oil and filter change without removing any body work, don't even have to take off the belly pan. Drain plug and filter are both right there on the bottom of the case. And really, if your bike is rated for 87 octane or better, 93 is just throwing money away. Buy more coffee instead!
I just assumed that Spicy Boi ran off of Captain Morgan 💯✌🤟🤘
Your friend's oil cap dilemma reminds me of a time when I was on a ride from KOP to State College at night in January. Suddenly I realize that my right leg is getting really cold thru layers of clothes. Get off the bike (Honda Transalp) grab a flashlight and now see that my leg is covered in oil and that the oil cap/dipstick is not screwed into the engine! Oh crap...where is it?...how much oil is left in the engine? A quick look around the bike led to a huge stroke of luck...found the dipstick wedged between the swing arm and bike frame! In my hurry to change oil back home I didn't tighten the cap enough and almost took out a new bike with only 1000 miles on it.
With the MT-07 (is this a 2019 one? Headlight looks familiar 🤔), the oil pump for the transmission (engine driven) undersupplies at idle, so if you don't get into neutral relatively soon the whole gearbox goes a bit stiff.
The easy solution is to give it a blip, just to get the oil flowing. Then it'll slip right out of gear with very little effort - as it should.
As far as I know, every bike with this engine and gearbox combo has that issue (XSR700, R7 maybe, Tenere 700, Tracer 7). It's not a problem while you're riding, just a bit annoying if you're trying to get into neutral while stopped.
That's interesting I'll need to try that
@@AntiParallali Assuming you still have that MT-07...
But also check the slack on your clutch lever. I'm assuming it's not too loose, but it could be, and that would add to the stiffness.
Also, dry sump engines usually have a dipstick. Adjust the clutch, so your free play is correct, or go into neutral just prior to stopping.
There's always a bit of hydrodynamic drag in the clutch (oil between the plates and all), but the MT-07 in particular under-oils its gearbox at hot idle. Thus, whereas on most bikes that bit of drag is a non-issue, on the idling MT-07's dry gearbox it's enough to get the dogs to bind. A blip on the throttle cures it though.
I'm not saying it's not out of adjustment (can't tell that without squeezing it myself), but on this particular bike that's not the only reason why it'd be difficult to get it into neutral.
Keep it in gear, all the time!
Hunting for neutral, my Hyosung GV250 was the same. Could just never get neutral with the engine running. My Yamaha VStar is the opposite, it doesn’t like to shift at all when the engine isn’t running 8) can be a major pain if I left it in gear for a hill park and then it just doesn’t want to start unless in neutral.
The neutral problem was solved when I changed the oil Motul to Castrol Power 1. I had 4 motorcycles so far and everytime I had this issue, I had changed the oil to Castrol Power 1 and issue is solved. Maybe u should give it a try?
If you still have the neutral problem, if you give it a small rev and then try again it will slot right in in my experience
7:23 had a Ducati Monster 696, that was impossible to get neutral with the engine running (common Ducati thing apparently), just got used to holding the clutch in all the time.
30mm slave cylinder helps. I just installed a CNC Racing slave cylinder on my Streetfighter 848, the clutch is noticeably lighter now.
Try adjusting clutch for easier neutral. Tech tip.
hey Lali Manuel recommends high octan and says don't use E10 so 93 Octan is all good well done :)
I am in SUNSET WHITTIER CA, THOSE ARE MY BOYS. I ride with no club but I am in SUNSET
With your channel just out of PA hope to say hay one day. You can spot my trike most places. It’s tagged Dark Dave & DJ Dor. The bikes called the Grey Dragon.
I cranked my engine over on my FZ-07 while the drain plug and filter were removed.. It shot oil about 5 feet from my bike .. major mess. Purged another 1/10th of a gallon of dirty oil however..
Every bike I've ever had has both
Lali, hey you need to do a video about birds, including your fave bite bird in this video!
If oil ever gets on ur tire put some gas on a rag and wipe the tire down. It will dry most of it up. I had my oil cap back out of a old gixxer 750 yrs ago and had oil all over my tire. Wiped it down with a rag soaked in gas and never felt it slip on the ride home.
I don't take the fairings off to change the oil. I just pretzel my way in. Its less work.
might be worth trying rolling backwards while trying to find neutral instead of forwards.. hope it works thats a pain!
When you're gonna start your merchandise?
Mesh jackets for the wind.....:D
sometimes I find that if I engage the clutch just a bit and let the bike move forward like your friend said, it clicks everytime
For finding neutral, try a slight rev to get the gears to synchronize. And should come out quickly. But this will require some practice.
Interesting...I need to try that
@@AntiParallaliI learnt to ride on an MT07 and raised the rpm to go into neutral, no blip, just raise it above idle and it slips straight in.
They undersized the oil pump for the gearbox. At hot (low) idle there isn't enough oil flowing to lubricate it properly.
That's why it needs a bit of rev to get it to slip out of gear nicely.
Those gas prices would have had me fuming😨
Hey Lali, where can I find meetups. I see some on facebook but not alot.

Aww Dutchess 😍. I always miss Doc My African Grey whenever I see a bird somehow it’s so weird.
Love African greys! Such smart birds
My bike has a dipstick too I was so confused at first bc I was looking for a sight glass😂😂😂
Right?! Sight glass makes more sense to me...
My bikes the same i cannot get Neutral all all with the engine running always have to kill the engine then it goes straight in. I tried all suggestions like checking chain tension and fresh oil etc. Non of it works. So its either sticking clutch plates causing drag or worn clutch plate housing.
