Love it. It give me a barn house rustic feel. Wonderful job.
Ah lovely! Thanks so much for watching! ☺️
I'm about to purchase my first house and needed quick and affordable make over ideas for my kitchen. I'm so glad I came across your video. I have more confidence in moving forward with the wall paper counter tops. Thank you for sharing :)
Wow... super glad it's been helpful! I just wanted to document how I did mine... so lovely to hear how it's helped!
Looks awesome!!! You did a great job around those outlets!! You were brave!!!
Thanks so much!! Yeah it was a challenge haha! But easy once I got going with it! ☺️
Nice work!!!
Looks like a “million dollar” kitchen 👍👍👍👍👍
Wow! Love your kitchen! What a nice touch to your house!
Ah thank you so much! Really happy with it!
I loved this so much, I ordered the same for my kitchen & instead of the wood effect S.B.P for my surfaces, I bought the grey n white marble effect. Can't wait to get started!
Ohhh so glad you enjoyed and it's inspired you! Good luck! 😊
Thank you very much, no more dull kitchen! This is a great way to brighten things up on a budget!!😍👍👍👍
Great job. Now, a couple of DIY shelves above the cooktop would be the finishing touch!
Yes! Really need to do this!
It’s lovely. Maybe consider continuing the brick on the upper wall above your stove and put in some type of open shelving, rustic farmhouse art or unique mirror!
Oh that sounds really nice actually! We put a shelf up their once but I'm useless at hanging things and it fell down! Haha! Thanks for watching!

Miss Moogle did you use clear silicone around the window trim? Ordered and received my 3D wallpaper tile effect, just wondered what I need to put to seal it around the window ledge edge, my sink is there too.. thanks. You did a fab job
Well done you did a great job! Your kitchen looks fabulous! ❤️
Thank you so much!! I love it too! ☺️
You’ve inspired me to have a go at my kitchen. Thanks.
Yay! So glad to hear!! Let me know how you get on!
Great job. Caulking is not easy. But the masking tape along adjoining surfaces at the bead width you like, works every time, with no mess. keep at it.
If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes I would not believe you did it by yourself !!! Amazing transformation, you have inspired me 🌼
Aw that’s really nice of you to say! Thank you :)
What a brilliant idea thank you for sharing
Aw lovely! My pleasure!! Thanks for watching!
Looks so easy you are amazing thank you 😊
wow , good job you , i need to do this in my kitchen , thanks for the tips and sharing ....looks Amazing x
Thanks so much! 😊
Well done, u did great... I have learned a lot. Am gonna do mine soon.
THANKS!
Ohh yay! Good luck!
Looks lovely, but i think the worktop colour matched everything better before you covered over them with the brown colour x
Thank you. That's fair enough. I'm really happy with it 😊
Hi, just found you . You are soooooo! Like my daughter I love watching you 😅
You are are so happy and enthusiastic xxx Excellent job too on your kitchen makeovers . Thank you take care 😘
Aw that's so lovely! Thanks for watching and commenting! Lovely to hear positive feedback and always lovely knowing someone somewhere is enjoying them:)
Thank you for this I have just ordered the same tile paper and a marble worktop one
Yay! Let me know how you get on. I'm hopefully using it in my bathroom next week too! ☺
Wow you are so clever your kitchen looks beautiful I'd love to have a go at this x
Thank you so much! Glad you like it! 😊
Your kitchen looks fab! 💜
Thank you so much 😁 I've actually changed it since this video 😛
Looks amazing, well done 👌🏻💕
Thank you so much!
I always felt weird about vinyl because I saw some really terribly done ones in rented places but this actually looks good. You put in a bit of extra effort and it's worth it.
Thank you so much! Yeah I think it can go wrong if you're not careful. Thank it depends what you use it one. I think worktops are quite easy to do and don't look cheap xx
You make it look so easy
Awesome love it🌻
Great job as usual 👍
Looks great.
Love It!!!!!💯
Did caulk between the two wallpapers?I would gone for a grey caulk so wouldn't stand out so much. I love that wallpaper backsplash
Yes, I used a white one. A few people have said this and I didn't even know a grey on existed! When this one wears away or needs replacing I will definitely go for grey! Thank you so much for watching!
@@African.Diaspora.InLondonUK Yes! Let me know how you get on! ☺️
Wallpaper is life.
Looks awesome maybe I would have gone with a darker worktop vinyl just my taste great job well done xxxx
Ah thank you! ☺️ yeah I love it so much!
To be fair that looks good 👍
It looks beautiful 🙌🏻💕. Who knew what you can do with just contact paper 😮
Yay! Thanks so much! Yeah, it's clever stuff!!
💗💗💗💗💗 yesssss I love it💯💯💯💯
Thank you!!! ☺️
Wow 👏🏼 you go girl
Haha! Thank you!!
Wow this looks so great!! I’m gonna do my kitchen now!
Oh gosh.. I just got my first property (a beautiful 1 bed bungalow, I’m disabled so I had to wait for one on the social housing list as I need some adaptions, but I viewed it yesterday & you know when you walk into a place & you feel like you belong?! Big garden, secluded, full of squirrels & nature! My heart! No idea why I’m telling you but I’m so excited!)
Anyway. It DOES need a lot of work regarding painting etc. The kitchen is nothing short of hideous 🤣 If you think your lovely original grey countertops are bad.. oh my! Mine are currently black with dark brown cupboard doors & cream tiles, with yellow walls.. LOL!
My first thought was vinyl coverings, as it’s relatively cheap but really effective.. you’ve made this look too easy lol! I’m sorry for the bombardment of questions, but where did you get tile paint from, & do you just paint them? Or do I need to scrape away sealant & re-seal? I think I’d like to paint mine, as I have a pastel theme (& the neutral colours will likely be a white-grey colour, a little lighter than your walls but very similar!) in my kitchen, so I’d like quite plain colours.
When it comes to putting vinyl down on the surfaces, any tips or tricks for a first timer who’s never done this before? Also, was that a pin you used to pop air bubbles? I’m afraid of air bubbles haha! Do I need to seal all the way around the sink or should it stay stuck down OK?
I’m going to go check out your cupboard ones now!
Sorry again for all the questions! Thanks so much for a really lovely, informative video. It looks so lovely! I hope you were pleased with yourself, you really did so well 🥰 xx
Ah super congratulations on your new place! Sounds lovely! Yeah it shouldn't be too costly to paint a little and do a few updates to make it your own!
I have a video where I painted my tiles in my decorating playlist! Take a look for a bit of help. You probably should prepare the surface and put some underlay paint on but I didn't and it turned out just fine!
Regarding using dcfix... it's super easy with a bit of practice! Just use a pin/ needle and prick the centre of a bubble and push the air out. Although when you're putting it down it's easy to get rid of them as you go anyway.
Let me know how you get on! Thank you so much for watching! 😊
Wonderful. Thanks
Hi its looking amazing. What colour of d-c fix vinyl do you have in your video?
Awesome 👍
Fantastic job! Stuff like that always goes wrong for me, would have looked like I left the cat under!
Good job. How about a couple of open shelves above stove?
Amazing!!!!!
Thank you so much!
How did the vinyl tiles stand up to the heat and cleaning around the cooker? Looks fab btw.
Had no issues at all. If you do watch a more recent video though I have actually changed it again! This was lasting just fine but I wanted a change so I tried stick on tiles!
New subscriber looks great girl well done xx
Very nice job
Looks amazing. My benches are tatty and I want to use this vinyl paper. How do you clean it? (I'm always bleaching worktops) 🤔
I’ve used loads of different cleaning products on mine no problem at all. I don’t use just pure bleach so I can’t confirm that’s ok but the usual kind of kitchen sprays etc all work fine :D
You did a great job.Only criticism is I would have gone for a grey sealant.
Ah thank you! Literally didn't even realise they did a grey! I'll be doing that next time!!
I’ve used the wallpaper in my bathroom over tiles, it looks fab, just a little bit of advice, you don’t get much time to work with the adhesive, apply a section at a time, stick the paper down, making sure you remove any bubbles, I can see bubbles on yours which won’t come out now and use clear silicone sealer for edges
Thanks for the tip! I’ve put grey strip sealant over the white now and it looks much better :)
Hi Unfortunately links are broken.Internet says you cannot wallpaper over tiles unless you sand them. How did you do? Apply ceramic glue directlyon the tile and stick vnyl wallpaper? Thanks
Looks fab..✅🇬🇧
Thanks so much!
Hi your video is great and it has inspired me to do a makeover on my tiny kitchen in the meantime until I can afford to do it properly! I can’t believe the people commenting on the silicone sealant as you clearly acknowledge in the video that it does stand out and that you plan to replace it with a grey one! And whether you like the colours or not that is down to personal taste I personally think you’ve done a great job and it looks much better! Your instructions are very clear and it makes it look so easy. Just one thing, I have a windowsill like yours that needs to be covered in the tile effect vinyl, what have you used as a trim on the edge because proper tile trims are too high and will stick out?
What a lovely comment! Thank you so much for taking time to watch my video and write this! Very kind! I'm so happy that it's helped you!
Ohh, I didn't replace anything for the edges I just kept what was already there from the real tiles underneath and the real tile trim 😊
@@MissMoogle You are very welcome! :) Oh I see, you already had a trim there I had not noticed it with the original white tiles lol. Mine does not have trim strip. Will have to think of something haha. Thanks!
Thanks. I bought the same design in B&Q, i can't wait to install it. I love how you did the table top. I might do the same.
Thanks so much! Glad it's given you inspiration!
Iv just been doing my worktops in gloss white
Props to you re sticky back vinyl. I've learnt how to apply it more easily watching you. The one time I tried it bubbled, creased & I ended up a frustrated, sweaty wreck! Don't the joins round the sink look obvious tho? (can't see well here what they looked like). I've found a 3D tile wallpaper from Wallpaper It which looks exactly like white ceramic tiles so will have another try.
Honestly, give it a go! It's not too hard! It doesn't look obvious around the sink at all. Sealed it all and even the overlaps when putting the wood effect down aren't at all noticeable ☺️
Does the wallpaper get wonky when using the stove?
Nice but I would have used a grey sealant that matches the paper and used some tape when sealing to get a nice clean straight line. Also would have gone for a different paper for the worktop that complimented the paper on the tiles.
Completely agree! I have changed it now! I’ve put a grey silicone tape over it and it looks so much neater. Also, I really love the combination of both styles. Each to their own. Thank you so much for watching!
cool might give this a go save and save some money in the meantime trying this :D
Yes! :) Thank you for watching!
Very nice
Nice work
I would of left the worktops gray bit wot you did over your tiles looks good
Thank you! I'm super happy with it all! Thank you for watching! 😊
I'm obsessed with this stuff and omlife I did not know you can buy it looking like tiles wthell and I cant just go looking around lol cuz wer on lockdown
You can buy it from createyourworldltd - link is in the description 😊 it is addictive! Haha
Looks like Contour Tiling on a Roll - very popular back in the 90s ..... had it in the kitchen of the house I bought, was up for about ten years by the time I could afford to tile properly, just on plaster. Stood up to all the steam and splashes. I did manage to melt a bit of it though by touching it with a hot baking sheet (it was just the bit that had touched that had a melted scar on it though, so hardly noticeable) ...... other than that
Haha amazing little memory 😊 I since used sticky back tiles after this and just recently done some real tiling! 🙌
This looks great 👍 I need to do that in my kitchen as my decor is grey but tiles are beige so desperately need to cover them up . Which was the 1 you used ? And was it easy to do ? X
Thank you!! Yes, it's such an easy update to do! I have more of a 'to do style' video I've uploaded just before this one if you want to check it out! Might help more! Have a look at the links in the description for the products I used. They're from a company called Create Your World :) Let me know how you get on!
Miss Moogle thanks hun , will do x
Going to do our kitchen again in d c fix taking off black marble effect and using wood grain like yours and going to use clear sealent not white as it does not work visually but well done !!
Nice! Hope it goes well. Thank you! Yeah, white didn't work but I've put a grey strip seal over it now and it looks much better 😊
@@MissMoogle just finished 7 hours!!
Ahh! Huge well done!
Thank you for the great video.
Will be doing the same job today. Which me luck.
Aw so glad it's helpful! Huge good luck! Sure it'll look lovely!
Look's lovely....great job.
Thanks so much!!!
Hi quick questions I know this is a year ago but is your tiles grey or brown. How did it hold up .looks lovely
Hi, it’s grey and it’s held up super well… although look out for an upload in a few weeks as I’m changing it to stick on tiles!
HI, i watched your video really like it and order the wallpaper to change my kitchen tile can i use normal wallpaper peste .
I'm not sure, maybe pop Create Your World a message and they'll be able to advise 😊
Was the tile stuff sticky back plastic because you used an adhesive too on the tiles ?
Nope, it’s 3D tile wallpaper… so you have to use the adhesive paste :)
Your corner is bubbly
Hi did you put anything over the wallpaper to seal. Thanks
Yes, silicone for the edges st the end... you will see I did a terrible job but I have since redone that bit haha
How many rolls of the tile paper did you use love
Just the one but I guess it depends how big the roll is and how much space you have to cover.
Is the foil on the countertop durable? If you put a hot pot on it for example, wouldn't it melt?
It's durable but I wouldn't put a hot pot on my surface anyway really so not tested that! I have little rubber mats I put down if I need to put a pan down :D thank you for watching!
I have never seen a kitchen with so little cabinets and tiny appliances. Once you pulled off the old stuff on your counter tops it actually looked better with the back splash wall paper you put up. The new stuff you put on the counter tops didn't match well with the back splash and the wood grain look was just to much.
But if you like it that's all that matters. Good job, thanks for sharing. Are you in England? The BBC shows I have seen on the telly the kitchens are always so small. Here in the states most kitchens have lots of cabinets, big appliances and the room is normally bigger.
Hey! Yeah I absolutely love it. Think it stands out more in the video and on the thumbnail but it's a bit more subtle in real life. Super happy, just need to change my flooring now!
Yes! You can obviously get bigger, more expensive kitchens but I just have a little one :(
I need to buy a new cooker soon which will fill the space better and be slightly bigger.
I live in Wales, UK. I actually love watching American housing shows because the houses are so much more interesting over there!
Thank you for watching! ☺️
Hi again. My husband's Meyrick/Myrick ancestral home is the Isle of Anglesey. I have a descendant chart dating back to 800. Our line arrived in America in 1635 on the ship named The James.
Nice of you to reply back. Have a great day.
you have the same cooker as me I hate it , you can barely fit a chicken in it !
love your tiles btw I'm gonna try !
Haha! I have finally replaced it last year! Had this one for years! Got a more recent kitchen update video if you want to take a look :)
I really want to do this but I have textured work top, any tips?
Hmm, to be honest I’ve only ever applied it to flat surfaces so I’m not sure.
Hi what did you use to apply the ceramic glue thanks
Oh, just a paint brush! 😁
Awesome makeover! New subbie here. Christina
Aw lovely!! Thank you!! ☺️
Can you see and feel the tiles behind the wall paper?
It looks beautiful but I'm unsure I could handle seeing tile- grout outlines.
You could a little but I didn't mind 😁
Well darn it, it keeps saying product not found. I'm so wanting to shop this company for my kitchen make over. That's all I have left to do. This looks so amazing in your space and looks so much easier than most products I've been looking at. Can you please help me find the company site?
Ohh, absolutely, have you searched for Create Your World - Tile Wallpaper. It should come up through Google! Let me know if you can find it?! So glad you like the look of it!!
Have you managed to find it? I've changed the link in the description for it now. They must have changed it on their site and that link wasn't working anymore.
Where did you get the applicator from in a pack please?
Go to createyourworld.co.uk and look in the 'other products section' 😊
About the sealant erm ya forgot to use a tool or your finger to smooth it out so you would’ve left gaps in the sealant
Hey! Thanks for watching! I used my finger! ☺️ But I've tried a tool too, I'm still not very good at it! Haha! It's latest ok so far!
How many rolls did you need roughly for this size kitchen ?
I think it was just the one but if you message the company they can help you out with the right size for your measurements
When I do caulking I wet a sponge it makes a nice and even all the way down through there and I rinse my Sponge Out one of the comments you should have used gray because the white does standout that's beautiful backsplash and counter
Thanks for the tip! I've actually put a grey strip silicone over it now so looks better 😊
I always use a wet Sponge to smooth out....works a treat.
Is the grey brick effect stuff DC fix?
Link for the product is in the description. It's a 3D tile effect wallpaper 😊
how many rolls of 3D wallpaper did u use please ? my kitchen about the same size as urs
Just the one 😊
@@MissMoogle thank you i hope mine looks as nice as urs does when im finished
Is it safe way???
Are theses east to remove ?
The tile wallpaper was ok but you had to scrub away the glue afterwards to remove it properly. The d c fix is super easy. Just grab a hair dryer to soften it and it comes off easier 😁
💯💯💯💯
Can it be removed easily? I live in a rented property and would love to be able to put this up as long as I could take it back off ?
Yes of course. I take the previous design I had on off during the video 😊 hope you enjoy! Let me know if you choose to use it! Tip: use a hair dryer to help remove it!
Great job but you should of used brown sealer? Looks ok though 👌
I ended up using grey strip seal and it looks so much better!
Cool 😎
Thin beads of caulk make for a cleaner install
Very true!
Like compañera besos desde españa
How have they held up?
It all held up well but I changed my mind! I’ve done a more recent video with sticky back tiles since… and I’m also planning on doing real tiles in the next month!
Hmm the link doesn’t work anymore. Can you please tell me if you used the dc fix Sanremo Oak or Sanremo Oak Sand? the regular sanremo oak is darker than sanremo oak sand. In your video it looks lighter, like it could be the sand one. I am so confused cause I don’t know which one to order! Help🤔
Ohh just had a look now... It's definitely the Sanremo Oak one... NOT THE SAND ☺️
Good luck with your dcfix mission!! xxx
Miss Moogle great, thanks so much! Ordering right now! You are a sweetheart😊
@@gocrazy95 Aw amazing! Good luck! Let me know how you get on!
Looks good. But could have used darker calk
Thank you! Ah, I didn't even realise you could get other colours other than white and transparent! I'll look for a grey next time!

How has it held up with the heat from the cooker ?
Not had a problem at all ☺️
Though you could put a glass splashback over it maybe if you were concerned.
A grey sealant would have looked much better instead of the white.
Yep! 100% agree! I've covered it now with grey strip silicone. Looks much better!
Hi what colour did you use for the worktops
Sanremo Oak. There's a link to it in the description 😊
Thanks
