idk man i might get hate for this but i think they ARE trying to tell the player stories, people just aren't INVESTED enough to learn/care. Compared to 2020/21 when the broadcast was really dead with covid, etc. they have HUGELY upgraded the broadcast and if you focus on it they are trying to highlight players, it's just that they aren't really sticking. Compared to the old guard of recognizable players like bjerg, dl, sneaky, meteos, hai, dyrus, etc. the current players will probably never reach their level of popularity so viewers brush them off

I'm not a fan of any player in the current LCS, but I'm only watching because of the co-stream.

I agree with his take but Jojo was a bad example because he said it since his first split, which is why he's always shared the same champ pool as Chovy

Another awful doublelift take! Complains about lcs players not showing personality yet doesn't watch pros, drive or any content pieces around the players. Talks about Jojo using Chovy as his inspiration aas if this is some groundbreaking shit, like no shit a midlaner is trying to learn from one of the best midlaners in the world.

but isn't it true though nonetheless? the content pieces are a thing true but they are somewhat artificial - truth is that a) most players aren't that good so you don't get invested - when DL, Sneaky, Bjergsen came onto the scene they were competitive players not just domestically but globally so people cared to get to know these prodigies - rn new players of similar caliber would be berserker, jojo and pre-retirement Danny only
      b) the players that are that good are not really out there personality wise (berserker for lack of English, Danny was shy and retired quickly..)
why do current pros not just hop on a co-stream every once in a while when they aren't playing and tweet stuff or give interviews that aren't just a bit of 'normal' trash talk.. the players with most accessible unique character right now are inspired and apa and they are pretty average players
