Hi, I have a simple question that's been hard to answer... Is stippling (dotwork), whip shading, and pepper shading different from each other? Or are they just different synonyms for the same technique? I mean, does the term vary the effects or the hand movements? I've found several conflicting views on the matter and am even more confused now. Thank you in advance!
Cleanest pepper shading I've seen yet, the way you explain is simple yet sophisticated and easy on the ears, been practicing a lot ever since I did it on a lotus and the demands overflow so to say, and not enough free time.super glad I stumbled upon your channel and learned the pepper shadingz, early 2021 or late 2020 not sure, tats not so clean and crisp then tbh, wanna know your secrets, practice and dedication alone isn't enough, will pick it off you someday 😂, and knowing where the negative spaces should be takes a lot of reading and understanding the design, you've perfected the style of pepper shading, the Patreon site have to be fixed idk, always says error even on Paypal, my BOA have to be renewed but I'm using an international credit/debit card, used SBI $ Deutsche Bank for now,

I use ava ep7+ wireless rotary, can u suggest at what volt if im using 5RL needles for stippling ? Always love ur vids so informative for new tattoo artist like me. Greets from Indonesia ✌🏼
Does the ink get to the dermis, as it should (as far as I know), when you're using just the tip of a needle? How would such tattoo heal?

Could you explain the difference using a machine vs hand poke tool and whip shading vs dot work?
I've been learning how to tattoo for a couple of weeks now (complete novice lmao), and I had to ask, how do you know you're going in the right depth when you're using the very tips of your needles while stippling?
What stroke is your machine 3.5 or softer or harder

@@DanielYuck I got the mast pen and the skins are off of Amazon and I have heard mixed reviews on you tube about them. If they are no good I'm going to try reel skins!!
That’s awesome!! I started with the Amazon skins as well and they helped me learn how not to go too deep which is everything for me now. I would also highly recommend Reelskin and Trueskin. They are awesome, I’ll link you below.

Hey , great tutorial. I really appreciated how detailed you are at explaining things. Do you mind if I ask what size needle you used for the thicker lines? I’m trying to get better at doing my lines in one pass and the largest needle I have used so far is a standard 9rl but that doesn’t create a very thick line so then I’m going a second pass to thicken them
What’s your voltage?
I use eleven rounds for bold linework.
