I bought DVC here in 2022 and I never want to stay anywhere else. There are so many advantages! They don't share transport (the way Poly and GF do), and the place has only 300 rooms, so even the buses are never crowded. I always request a fireworks viewing room, which is AMAZING. I can leave the park early to sit on the balcony sipping from my resort mug, watch the show, and retire to bed immediately, instead of fighting for viewing space and then navigating the crushing crowds leaving the park. The Topolino's patio is a great spot for watching the fireworks as well if you have an evening (or morning!) meal there. Just walk up and show the host your meal receipt for the day and theu will let you onto the patio. Food is great no matter where you eat, coffee bar is top notch, and you are so right about relaxing just about anywhere. And one thing it looks like you didn't see on this trip. If you stick around the lobby for a while, you will likely see Chip and Dale in tuxedos and other surprise characters. I've already made three visits here since my DVC purchase, for a total of 17 nights in a studio room (bringing friends 2 of those times) and more than gotten back what I spent when calculating what it otherwise would have cost me without the membership.

We just bought into DVC at Aulani. At first we had decided on Riviera, but Aulani ended up making more sense for us being on the west coast (and our kids absolutely falling in love with Aulani and Hawaii!) We planned our first trip to Riviera Resort this Winter, can't wait to see it in person, I know it will be just as special! Thank you for sharing.
We love going to the quick service restaurant for dinner. I’m watching your video in our 3 bedroom condo 10 minutes from Epcot but off property. Two park days down two to go! Daughter’s boyfriend is loving Disney and he is living his best life 😃Today is a relaxing day! Thank for sharing!
Loved this resort, it’s a beautiful place and nice to have a quiet bolt hole from the craziness of the parks if you want it. I thought it was just me who loved the smell of hotel lobby’s, have fond smell memories of some of the Vegas resorts. 😂 Great to be on the Skyliner route as well, very convenient. Loved the mosaic pictures, wonder how many mosaics you own instead of Rick the brick? 😂
We stayed 2 nights at the Riviera last year, but we did parks both days so didn’t spend enough time at the resort. We did do Toppolinos the last morning before our flight. I’d love to go back to do it the way you did. Thanks for the tour and the memories!
Almost a 1/4 century DVC Member here…. Our favorite resort is the original vacation club, Old Key West (building 46 - 2 BR, top floor). It is the most spacious, water view, quiet, and boat + walking distance to Disney Springs. Our second favorite is Animal Kingdom Lodge / Kidani Village - 2 BR, Savannah view. AKL / KV isn’t near anything (except Kissimmee), but it is spectacular to wake up at night to Savannah animal sounds and zebras! The Skyliner was a great addition to WDW transportation! I love it! I enjoyed your review but have to say I am (actively) disappointed with Disney’s Riviera execution. It looks like a bog standard hotel, not worthy of its namesake or the imagineers’ theming…. It is the most ‘ordinary’ of ALL the vacation club properties…, including Vero, HI, and Hilton Head Island. BTW, HHI is another one of our family favorite DVC properties. We loved HHI so much we moved there… 😂. Thank you, Disney!

@TravellingWithTeens They didn’t stop. All character meals are “all you care to eat.” There isn’t one character meal where you only get what they put in front of you. Think about it.

The upside of DVC is they have “right of first refusal “ when it’s time to sell which keeps the value up.

In Topolinis you can ask for more more. We asked for more pastries and we asked for fruit alongside our other mains
