Thank you for sharing your knowledge and encouraging people to use licensed music. I'm a royalty free music composer and you would not believe how many watermarked tracks get pirated almost daily and get blocked by youtube. Keep up the great work!
If you don't want to have your video demonetized (not the end of the world) you have to understand the creative commons code structure. Take a look at these codes. CC-BY-SA-NC 3.0 or like this CC-NC-ND-SA 4.0. The key is to avoid that song if it contains "NC." NC means non-commercial use so avoid it. Videomaker is 100% correct about SoundCloud. Artists will cover their butt with song mixes and compilations. You may think the music is free for commercial use, but it is NOT. The uploader is trying to reduce exposure to a lawsuit by setting the song to CC-BY (creative commons with attribution). Avoid compilation tracks. Tracks longer than 10 minutes are usually complications so be aware of song length on SoundCloud. Mixes are a bit more tricky. If you can recognize the altered song, consider not using it on your video. Sometimes the mixed song breaks into a weird riff, and you can't recognize the original song. You could use part of that song. It's tricky. ====The Best Solution=== Avoid SoundCloud and use Looperman.com their tracks are all CC-SA-BY (free for commercial use with attribution), and the site uses the same SoundCloud waveform scrubber. Not having the ability to skip to sections in the track like freemusicarchive.org is a major headache. The Free Music Archive needs improvement. Best wishes guys!

I just started a channel offering the use of my music for free in CZcams videos. Most of the downloads also include looped sections, so you can custom fit the music to your video(s). I'll be posting new content on a regular basis, and I'm open to suggestion as to the types of music I should upload.

So what if "lets say" and i'm not talking about audio quality, where to 'blast' music from a stereo/speaker for the video& its so blatant that its for the purpose of the video.

One of my videos was flagged a couple of times....but your Soundcloud suggestion is great! Found a lot of good tracks in the "for commercial use" category--thanks.
So I’m currently making a short film, only problem is is that I have no idea for music. The film is set in the morning and is meant to start after the protagonist hits the snooze button on the alarm and sits up. It’s going to be a sort of “my day” type film and I have no idea for what kind of music I should use that is also free. Any ideas/recommendations?

I like jamendo for CC music. I don't monetize anything on CZcams, so they're happy with being credited.
Go to Bandcamp and search Royalty Music. They have lots of high quality music for video bloggers for like $10. None of that cheesy stuff you hear on most royalty free websites.

Still some companies are fals claiming even CC music, so be shure to dispute them.

This is a question that I can't seem to find anyone who knows for sure the answer. Occasionally I do a radio broadcast show with a friend, and we have been storing shows on CZcams and Facebook. We generally use Bob Marley's "Stand Up" for our opening and sign off and CZcams rejects the recording. It seems it's okay to broadcast it out to 140,000 radios at once, but to put it on CZcams, we get the entire program deleted. We have even had posts deleted because somebody on a phone patch had their TV on and a recognizable tune is playing innocently and unnoticeable in the background. Still YT or FB are on our behinds immediately and we have been penalized. We always credit any music we use, but sometimes that is simply impossible. Any ideas?
To use a song as famous as "Stand Up" you'll need written permission from their publisher, which you can request at ascap.com or bmi.com. Be warned, they'll likely charge you a bunch of money. If you get it though, then just challenge CZcams's claim and say you have the rights to use the music. You'll have written permission as evidence.

All my music on my Reverbnation channel is free for anyone to use. I just ask for a heads up, a little credit, so I can see how people are using it. I started creating my own music because I was using what I thought was free music and then got hit by YT for copyright.

So can I use royalty-free music with lets say a video where I am advertising a product for sale/profit?
if you have the royalty (purchased or was obtained free, as royalty-free) then it's available for you to use without anymore royalty to the original owner/creator after the original royalty was obtained. hope this helps.

Here's another site I've used successfully. One has to look hard, and you cannot trust the posted assertions of public domain or creative commons, but there are some real winners.archive.org/details/opensource_audio I always check to see if Sound Hound or Shazam recognize a song as commercially available. If they do, it's a safe bet that CZcams's software will recognize it too, and that's bad.
