All kinds of fun videos flying around the Northeast!
I am located in Manhattan and fly all over the Northeast and video the flights. Many of these video were simply created to keep a record of my flying as I transitioned from a Cirrus SR22 to a Husky A-1 - essentially going from a powerful nose wheel gear plane, to a powerful tail wheel plane! The two planes compliment each other extremely well and each have their own mission. I am no videographer, but have enjoyed learning imovie, and now Final Cut Pro as I make the videos better and better.
Please feel free to comment and provide feed back and I do appreciate you visiting my channel! -- and of course subscribing!
Also check out my current aviation project called www.sharemyairc...! Sharemyaircraft.com is working to solve the unbelievable inefficiency in general aviation aircraft utilization whereby the average pilot flies 3.3 hours/month with their plane sitting on the ground 96% of the time. There are very few pilots/planes that would not benefit by being SHARED in the meantime. ! bonanza kitfox low and slow

Three suggestions; first, I would have made sure the bead was broke (unseated) before removing the wheel half bolts. Second; I like to use tire talc. Talc meant for personal use is mostly corn starch. You can get tire talc from Aircraft Spruce or an automotive parts supply store. (It's fun seeing the look on the clerks face when you ask for it. The youngsters have no idea what your talking about. Then the manager says he has to order it. But it'll be in the next day) Third; please get a tripod for the camera. I was getting woosey.

I needed to change the tire on the Scott 3200 tail wheel on my Citabria and found your video on this topic. It is what I was looking and helped me somewhat. However, maybe some editing to remove non-relevant scenes is called for. Also, should you get to film this again, please include the hub assembly process, which is not shown.
The torque setting on the 4 bolts holding the hub together is 120 in-lbs.

One of the things I did to my Husky tailwheel after getting two t/w flats early on in my ownership was to replace the 4 ply tailwheel tire with a six ply tire. The six ply tire is much more durable than the 4 ply Many 100's of landings since with no problem. I also installed the new AKB Husky tailwheel spring set, which changed the angle of incidence of the tailwheel. Big improvement.

Great video. All us that fly Huskies can relate to bumping your head. That is almost guaranteed to be part of any Husky project.

What is the torque on the wheel halves nut?

Silly question for my own information - do you need to be a a&p go change the tire?

No. Certain things you can do yourself. This is one of them.
