I don’t recommend wrapping two locs into one butterfly loc because depending on the clients stage of locking process this will combine the clients locs together. I had a braider do this to my locs with box braids and it combined my locs to the point of no separation. This is very damaging. Individually wrap each loc
So none of clients have experienced locs combining because I take precautions to ensure that, that doesn’t happen.
try 2 stranding you roots before starting the wrap that will keep them from locing together as well 💙

You can if you can snug it tight enough not to unravel

Is difficult to explain over text, I would have to demonstrate. If I get another client who wants butterfly Locs but has Locs, I will demonstrate
I have locs an wanted to know so I use both the (shake-N-go)hair an the (twisted up ) together or just one of the hairs to do all my locs
An is it okay to wash my hair before starting or will that mess it up

No it's not especially if you put more than one in a loc

Is it ok to use one loc instead of two
If 1 loc is strong enough to withstand the tension, then yes. But make sure to not wrap too tightly. So the integrity of the natural loc stays.
