- Here is another video within the 'series' of top ten travel classes. Since both of my videos have proved to be popular, I have decided, yet again, to upload a premium economy version. Here are the airlines in order with their websites:

I ABSOLUTELY agree that Air France Premium Economy made your top ten. It is SUPER comfortable, and comparable to business class on other airlines. Air New Zealand's looks AMAZING! Have to try that in the future. Truth be told, Premium Economy is a nice way for those of us that aren't super wealthy to fly with more comfort, space and amenities. Personally, I think anyone who is snotty and pretentious enough to say that the $$$$ on airlines is made in the front of the plane is full of crap. Economy classes have ALWAYS been the airline industry's cash cow. That's why it's ALWAYS the cabin with the most seats on any aircraft the WORLD over!
As long as they aren't on strike. We were supposed to fly Air France in April and had to scramble for three hours on the phone to get another airline to take us. Thankfully KLM was there for us.
KLM is also a GREAT airline as well. I flew them home from Amsterdam years ago. LOVED them.
Last time I looked in to booking Air France they had had hard shell (non-reclining seats). The video appears to show that. As someone who is tall that’s an absolute no-no.

The seats are almost not reclinable, why the hell should i pay extra for that? You have more width, so you can sit diagonally, you can move easily, you have your "territory", bit flying sitting straight is still a torture. I only flew them and Lufthansa, the latter is MUCH better!
Basically this is an advert for Recaro Seats. Pretty much the same incarnation from No 10 through to No 2, just different trim attached and seat covers and Thales IFE.
Air New Zealand is brilliant service in premium economy. Flew with them from LA to Melbourne and return. The seats are great as you can curl up in them (middle ones) and the sides ones give you that little bit of extra privacy. The food and wine selection is fantastic. You get business class meals, real knives, forks and glassware. Prices are really good too. Also few this leg in Business class, which I highly recommend. Apparently their sky couch in economy is good too. Can't rate NZ high enough!

Air NZ premium econ is also very expensive,much more than other airlines.
I flew Premium Economy on Lufthansa and it was one of the best flight experiences I ever had. It should be on this list.
I’ve flown airfrance business and I am about to fly main cabin. I have seen the premium economy and definitely agree with it being on this list

Air New Zealand rock! In all classes. Their premium seats are amazing in both premium cabins. Their service is great!

Agree with you 100% on Air NewZealand being number one. The ONLY airline I take yearly from Vancouver to Auckland, marvelous service, lots of leg room and very good food.
I went on Turkish airlines business class and its the best no joke they give you a hot towel and a place for foot rest blankets pillows proper nice iPads and loads of cakes and donuts

Most definitely agree with Japan Airlines in the top 5! It looks impressive in Premium Economy and the customer service is like no other. What I like too is how the seats recline, in that, the back of the chair stays immobile (so you're not backing up into the person behind you) yet it's the seat/cushion that you maneuver to a reclining position. Full thumbs up to JAL, and special kudos to Turkish Airlines as well (great food and service)....

I miss that Space Seat Premium Economy Service on Air New Zealand, i loved it! Flew that service many times when i was having to cross the Tasman Sea a lot for business. Now its a more standard run of the mill business class seat, although things like food and service are superior than most other premium economy.

Wow Air New Zealand looks like Business Class on other airlines with that configuration, seat angle and design. Heard so many amazing things about this airline. No wonder it always makes the top 3 sirlines if not no 1
JAL Premium eco seat not only recline, but it seems like it rotate and tilt backward which make it more comfortable. I was surprised the first time I tried it.
It would be worth a trip to New Zealand just to fly their premium economy from the look of it!

Premium Economy from Eva Airlines is pretty impressive with its generous space, seat comfort, quality of food, and great services. Not sure why it is not in top 10 (or may not be even included for rating?)
Great vid and just love the jazz. Who is that and what song?I also enjoy Icelandair Business Class but they only have narrow body jets that I am aware of but that is quite alright.

I honestly never got the idea of premium economy until I saw Air France - looks amazing. Apart from that just feels like it’s better to go business or economy. Something in the middle doesn’t make quite a lot of sense.

Air NZ looks great but I travelled on that air line premium economy and we didn’t have seats like that all depends on what plane you travel on
Terry Allen Air NZ actually removed the seats shown in the video and replaced them with black leather ones
Unfortunately, Air NZ's pod-style premium economy class wasn't commercially viable for the airline, as it required a 2-2-2 configuration instead of 2-3-2, and it's been phased out.

I flew Premium Economy in the "Space Seats" and they were utterly amazing. The staff are wonderful, the food is great, and the cabin was very peaceful. However, just a head's up that ANZ have refitted their 777s and the Space Seats are gone :(
So, just a head's up that ANZ has changed their seating configuration in PE from 2-2-2 to 2-4-2; seating in economy is still 3-4-3. Also, be aware that PE passengers do not have lounge access but it really didn't matter to me.
I would still fly ANZ in a heartbeat. They can't be beat for service.

Absolutely agree with Air NZ being No 1. We traveled Melb-Auckland-LA in premium economy. It was better than Qantas business class. Food terrific, staff just brilliant and dedicated to making a VERY long trip bearable. Movies electronics excellent.
Whenever we travel now I want Air NZ premium economy. I liked Turkish Airlines too but I was in economy for that.
Just brilliant. It's Cathay in seven weeks. I doubt given the reviews that it will come anywhere close.

I personally think Southern China Airlines have really good premium economy seats. They have a lot of legroom, great service, and it is a recliner chair, meaning a leg stool pops up and the chair leans back a lot.

It is true. Turkish airlines is the best that I tried. They treat economy class like bus. Or 1st class. I will always use them for my upcoming trips.
Check out Jet Airways Premiere class I think it's the best, it's like the Upper class in Virgin

Seats look nice, but super-uncomfortable. No separate bathrooms for premium economy either on Singapore to Sydney and Brisbane flights. Screens are nice.

I just flew Preium economy on Singapore airlines from Tokyo to Singapore. The fact it doesnt merit mention in this youtube video is correct. SIA premium economy sucks - not worth paying. Stick to economy and save up for business

we liked Iberia .... very comfortable seats, good recline with leg rest. service and food were outstanding for air travel, and plentiful . and you were treated very well... 2 seats a window and an isle.
air new Zealand is the best by a long way, wonderful service and great seats, skytrak agrees totally with most of this.
BB, Craze & Sheepy true Australia/quantas airlines is good at service and food/drinks but not with the Seatings

There was an article once when they asked some high ranking Emirates official why they dont have a Premium Economy. His reply was that there regular Economy was almost as good as Premium Economy. But after seeing the Air New Zealands Premium Economy it looks more like business class to me. Wonder what there Business Class is like
I flew Air New Zealand Business Class 4 days ago - AMAZING!!! It looks similar to Premium Economy but more single booths and far superior, can turn into a bed with pillows and warm comfy blanket. Customer service 5 stars, food and drink 5 stars, entertainment 5 stars. Highly recommend!!!

Btw I'm pretty sure the Air NZ premium economy seats were only on 772s or on 777 on long haul flights to lax and some other places and I'm pretty sure they're discontinued now which is sad.

From my perspective, the premium economy class of China Airlines is better than Etihad.
But the premium economy class of Air New Zealand is unparalleled, I think it must be extremely expensive.

Interesting lots of comments who were amazed about air NZ being #1, check out the awards this airline has won over the last few years, on top of that being very innovative and also the launch customer for the 787-9 Dreamliner. Yes I spend my $'s flying Air NZ and mostly been economy have never been in the space seat although you will only find them on the 777-300, all other aircraft are now the same configuration and type to be all consistent across their long-haul fleet.

Have a look at Jet Airways premier economy. It’s completely flat bed. Most comfortable. Almost a business class at little higher economy class fare.

My parents just paid a chunk of change to upgrade to premium economy...and were disappointed. The seats were very firm and stiff, the food was only fair. There was more leg room (appreciated), but my mom's seat didn't recline (broken), and when the person in front reclines, you cannot climb out of your seat without a production due to the limited space and strange seat angle. They have decided the extra money (over $300US each) was NOT worth it on BA.
I would certainly put Korean Air in the upper five. Disappointed I didn't see them there.
