Here is a look under the surface at one of my favorite fishing spots. The amount of Goliath Grouper in the inlet is just amazing. There has to be hundreds or thousands of these big grouper that can grow over 600lbs. At one time the Goliath Grouper (Jewfish) was endangered, but it seems they have made a very strong comeback. I see them at every spot I dive that has some sort of structure. What impact do you think they are having on the rest of the environment.

Probably the best vid I have seen on here - ever! Amazing editing and the music low enough so you can still hear the natural sounds - the appearance of your dive partner (Ariane?) was the icing on the cake. ;) Incredible underwater photography, and such diversity. I want to dive and fish there now!!

Awesome video Joey. Unbelievable amount of fish and varietyt . Great to see Florida waters are so healthy. Crazy numbers of every species. Will be watching more of them. Just found you and subscribed.

Like these dive videos just as much as the fishing ones! Rod and reel combo is pretty sweet, intersted in how it comes back!

When I was a kid in the seventies at Tavernier key you never saw a goliath grouper man not there. It's amazing how quickly they have come back.

I remember in the mid to late 90's, snorkeling around the jetty and being hard pressed to find a Goliath. You would find them up and around the tip but nothing near the amount you have on the video. If you found 5 you were lucky. Some of the old timers and us youngsters at the time, would feed them for fun. Now, its unreal, how many you will find down there. I also remember the variety of fish being way more diverse and thicker in numbers. To say the Goliath grouper are not affecting the fish numbers is crazy. You don't have to be a biologist to see, you just have to know whats under the water. Great video.
