OMGOMGOMG!!! I have recently discovered this band and I've been keeping their videos on 'Autoplay' on CZcams going around the house doing my business. Last week I forgot my phone charger at a friend's place in a different city. So the idea came to me to use a USB cable from a device I didn't need anymore and connect the wires directly to my phone bettery. While I was doing this, this song came up on Autoplay. Awesomest feeling ever! True story! :D

This is superb and a completely original cover version. They are doing metal songs in their own style, so who am I or anyone else to say "this would have been better if..." or "this has been ruined by...". Take it for what it is or piss off and listen to Metallica/Manowar/whatever. I shall be buying their stuff and looking for live shows. Well done indeed.

I want to know how the guys that are doing the guitar parts keep from running out of air. I've spent years vocal training and can hold out notes, depending on volume and pitch, for over 50 seconds but I'm struggling those last few seconds... and I can't hear where these guys are taking a breath. Obviously, in the studio they can do one or two measures and cut and paste the parts together to build the song... but how do they pull it off live? Or do they "Milli Vanilli" it?
Absolutely amazing a'capella rendition of an absolutely amazing song from an absolutely amazing band! I really like this! Props to Van Canto and special props to Bastian Emig and Ross Thompson and their contribution and stunning performance!
I like that they use real percussion. I don't understand why not more a capella bands do that. Of course some a capella bands have really good beatboxers but still even the best beat boxer don't have the same sharp punch as a real drum; in fact no other instrument can match the precision and sound actual percussion provides. And this band really shows that percussion + voice (+ amplification) really can sound like a full band.
Different genre. It's like comparing Queensryche to Boyz II Men. Also, Van Canto uses a rock drum kit. I'm not one of those purists who gets butt hurt over things like that, but the use of drums does make it an unfair comparison.
