Rio Ferdinand hardly got booked because he had excellent positioning and reading of the game, which means he didn't need to make a lot of last-ditch tackles like John Terry, Jamie Carragher or Vidic
agree but do0nt forget he was quick as shit so made fantastic recovery tackles too
Everyone hid behind Vidic, he had to put the tackles in
and not to mention his distribution & how calm and composed he was on d ball.
and the one time he had to, he timed it to perfection but the referee gave a penalty! (against Newcastle)
And also, he was blessed with a terrific turn of pace which he used to his advantage.
âLeeds reached the semifinals of the Champions Leagueâ what a sentence
+Lawrence Stewart who will be the next English team outside of the big 6 to reach a champions league semi final?
uMAXit Football wow maybe Southampton? đ
Macclesfield
Tifo Football Burnley đ 1-0 every game from this season to the 2018-19 UCL SFs
Tifo Football it is Tottenham. Right now because they are extremely outstanding.
Southampton is relegating this season.
That David Moyes graphic keeps me up at night
Stewie Griffin me too đđđ
Looks like the crypt keeper
The thought of Ferdinand in Swan lake does the same for me.
3:17 this could backfire on ole now
Rio: "How much did you buy maguire? 80 mil??"
HOW MUCH TO BUY OKOCH A
ILL TAKE 590000000MIL
yep and ferdinand was actually worth 30 mill whereas maguires not worth 30 mill in todays money let alone 20 years ago
Not really on ole. Manager just states the players he wants. Negotiators f*** up the Maguire price. Maguire was actually worth round about 50 mil
@@somebody7262 ofc its on him. he states the players he wants, but also has to take into account the money, because he wants other players too... lets say i want messi, but i have to cover cb, cf, rb too... if i have 300m and messi alone needs 250, then messi can go fck himself... now imagine if your name aint messi and its maguire... you can find players on his level or better for a lot less... the only thing i can accept is the nationality issue(like if you want to have an english player on an english team, which is ridiculous notion in modern football, but still i do respect it, but up to a point... if you are city and you can give 234653457458748 trillion dollars for fun, because the arabs will keep selling oil, then sure, go after the british players too, but if you are on a budget the players' nationality is a luxury you cant afford)
Ferdinand-Vidic is the best cb partnership in Premier League history.
Isak Pettersson alongside Terry and Carvalho
Terry and carvalho were better
Vernon Francis Gallagher terry and Car set the record fir least goals conceded in a season
Mustafi alone is better than everyone combined
I think youâre all forgetting about Chris Smalling and Phil Jones
Rolls Royce of a defender. Great video đđŸ
OKOCHA WAS A ROLLS ROCYE OF AN ATTACKING MID
Rio Ferdinand was a legend. Captained Leeds at 23 and always a natural leader. Brilliant on the ball- both defending and dribbling.
OKOCHA WAS ALSO A LEGEND
CAOTAINED BOLTON TO 7TH PLACE EUROPEAN QUALIFICATIONS
Jay jay okocha is a legend and always will be. But Rio came from West Ham and immediately adapted to Champions League football at 23. Big up Jay Jay and big up Rio.
Hat's off to Rio on how well he held it together after such a tragedy.
Ferdy as manager and Vidic as assistant. That's the type of stuff I would do if I was oil rich and bought a club.
And cr7 and rooney as coaches of sub 15 sub 17s
TRUE. AND ALSO EMPLOY OKOCHA TOO TEAM THE MIDS HOW TO PASS AND ADD GINGER SKILLS ON THEM
âLvG could probably have used himâ...Iâm not, Iâm not crying.
Excellent video, as usual, but really pleased that you addressed his life off the pitch post retirement.
What Rio experienced with the loss of his wife and now raising his kids on his own is more important than anything he did on the pitch; I say that as a fervent United supporter. The fact that he shared it so publicly, to help others, shows just how class he is.
@@TizerisT. what? lol United fans love him. You must have started watching football last year or something
@@mittensthehousecat4114 believe it or not, I didnât write that message. I donât know whatâs going on there
Great video. Rio is an absolute gem - a centre-half comfortable on the ball long before they became a mandate in the modern Premier League and a stand out amongst his more physical England defensive partners. On his day, he truly was World Class.
liverpool fan, i have so much more respect for rio now, thanks for a really insightful video
Thanks Callum, nice of you to say
My earliest memory of Ferdinand was playing away to Coventry when Redknapp played him in central midfield. He ended up scoring, running over to the West Ham fans and doing the bogle dance.
Where's the video?!
Liverpool fan here but he is world-class. Fantastic defender and among the very best.
One of the best defenders I've ever seen.. And a great father
Brilliant man. I'm a Liverpool fan, and he's always gave a fair analysis of the team. No United bias. Anyone wanting to become a defender should be inspired by the guy and someone to look up to.
Rio is such a class act. In EVERY aspect.
Leeds United used to be in the UCL semi final...
How times have changed
Ronaldo Owino They even reached the final back in 1975...
And we're cheated out of a win by a corrupt referee.
Did not know that he had so many issues behind closed doors, this video has given me insight on one of my more favorite players of the game. Great job keep up the good work, I hope to see many more videos of great players in futbĂČl history.
Can we expect a Zidane video ever? I feel like there's a lot to be said about his accomplishments and style of play, and even more to be said about his anger management issues (I'm referring more to the mistakes that cost him another Ballon d'Or rather than the 2006 WC Final). Easily one of the greatest players to ever do it. Would also definitely love a Pavel Nedved or Alex Del Piero (maybe there's a theme here).
Dont forget thiery henry too.
That bit of anger was gave him an edge. He either channelled it to play like a man possessed or he would do something reckless. My favourite ever player!
Lifelong Man Utd fan. Watching Rio and Vida was a joy to behold. LEGEND
30m in 2002 was a hell of a lot of money for a defender, but by the time Rio's career wound down, that amount looked like an absolute bargain. One of the greatest to ever play for the club, almost unbeatable at his peak, and a bona fide Man United legend. đ
I hate to pop in again, but guys, this is incredible. The concision alone is unseen anywhere else. Please for the love of God, grow. Please expand in any medium you can find as I know you have thus far. Your talent is immense. Continue, please continue.
He was absolutely brilliant. By far one of the greatest defenders ever.
Great insight into one of the great CB's of the pl and early 2000's.
Thank you sir
uMAXit Football thanks for everything about football umaxit football ( Tifo) soon to be.
Been here is 4k and i love every bit of everything
Rolls Royce of a defender indeed.
So are your videos mate. Cheers!
Rio is one of the best defenders the world has ever seen
Legend on and off the pitch.
One of your best videos to date.
We appreciate that Alex!
can you do Paolo Maldini next... this was excellent... good job..
+KingLionel great shout. Thank you!
Omg dude .. i am going through your videos... these videos are amazing .. the grAphics must hav taken ages and the content is so amazing... beautifully woven wit the music and the tone.. brilliant!!
Keep up the good work!
I'm a city fan but i love this guy....
One of my favorite centre back during my childhood đđŒ
I'm a Chelsea fan and there was no other player that I feared more than Ferdinand. True legend!
Vidic - Ferdinand: still the best center back duo in my life time
Rio Ferdinand, what a player, what a guy.
rio is a top class defender but the partnership with vidic was something special. they complimented eachother so so well
As usual a great vid, one of the best imo :)
+Abhishek Bej thanks for the kind words!
A beautiful tribute to an inspirational man!
"Had the substance to match his superb style!"
That's a fitting end to a fantastic video. đ
Fantastic video, as usual ;)
Great video, guys!
Thanks for the upload!
You're welcome!
This has to be the UMAXIT football video with the most "Man love" in it. The praise is gushing and I thought the narrator was going to break down and cry a few times... :D
Great work!
this is one of the best reviews I've very seen....didn't know that happen to Rio
great video man gr8
Rio is such an icon, I remember when I was a kid. Just in awe of such a player.
Such a big man with big talent and big heart.
this is just fantastic
Im so lucky to witness Rio and Nemanja in the making...that defence with Evra and Rafael.Gate closed.
what a man đđœ love and respect from an Arsenal fan â€ïž
How am I just realising that Les and Rio Ferdinand were cousins đ
Great video. Incredible to think over the course of his career that he never won the FA cup and never played in the Euros
My favorite video so far!
Incredible stuff
Great tribute to one of the greatest ever centre halves.
"how much, 30m?" proceeds to buy an 80m Central defender
Rama Nugraha Rio would 100 mill in todayâs money
excellent player and mind set
What a man!!
Great videos
Class act....
WHAT A FANTASTIC MAN!!!
On the theme of stylish CBs can you do a video on Alessandro Nesta or/and the talented but blighted by injury Jonathan Woodgate.
Well done!
Rio can dance ! Never knew about it.
I see that you've done alot of Man Utd related history videos. They certainly are interesting but would love to see one regarding Liverpool too. Like maybe on some of their best players or teams or managers.
Superb
+Danny Jones thanks Danny!
Rio Ferdinand is my favorite defender of all time.
Hey , i love the content , could you do a back story of Ballack and Owen Hargreaves
lmao, Solskjaer is a troll xD
@array s đđđ That got me laughing.
SOLKJAER NEEDS TO SIGN THE NEXT OKOCHA
Thank you
LEGEND
What I'd give now to have vidic and rio at the back again missed so much
Rio was pretty much pure class from beginning to end
Rio was class and Iâm a Lfc fan
I think he was definitely England's best player at the 2002 World Cup (ahead of Campbell), and at worst one of their top 3 players at the 2006 World Cup (the only goals they conceded were in the 2nd half against Sweden when he went off injured and was replaced by Campbell). So alongside his glittering club career with Man Utd, excelling at back to back World Cups definitely enhances his legacy.
World world class defender. Best of the premier league era.
I don't know how many times I will keep watching this
Great video. The only thing that was wrong was when it was said United were on the way to winning the league in January 2006. They won the league the next season, 06/07, not 05/06.
If my memory recalls me correctly, didn't Rio win the FA Cup in 2004 against Millwall?
Great content on this channel. Keep it up :)
True gentleman !
What a man
You need to make a video about bielsa at Leeds united. Or more about leeds in general. Such a huge club.
Loved the video. Quality player.
Rio seems like a rly nice guy tbh
career of sol campbell now!? please
The end really hit home
An often overlooked aspect of United's legendary success is the relatively high concentration of "Continental" style British players. Carrick, Scholes and Ferdinand were all quite atypical british players. Emphasizing on organization, foresight, possession and prediction over a direct aggressive physical style commonly found in British leagues.
I love Rio ferdinand's punditry... He's a giant at BT sport!!!
Please make Filippo Inzaghi. Thank you ! đ
Beast of a defender. Man utd legend
That Ferdinand ban has always absolutely baffled me
Respect :)
Could you do one for Terry? I would love to see that
I do remember that people were saying "If Rio cost ÂŁ30m how much is Wes Brown worth?"
Wes didn't progress on as much as Ferdi. That should have been a great partnership.
Do one on van der sar!!
Love Rio
My idol
