Explaining my theories on how to train with a partner regardless of strength and level and both make maximal gains #motivation #armwrestling #biceps #diet #grip #natty #natural #strength
Brilliant.... Training intelligently without blowing your whole strength endurance capacity in the first 15 minutes.... Practice isn't about taking out your stress on your training partners or exercising ego.
CZcams algorithm boosting comment 💪 ... most of us need to get and be better training partners, don't let ego run things. i like to have fun on the tables too, but i don't want to ruin it for anyone else. i prefer to train in compromised and tougher positions, and testing new technique, helping new pullers etc. having good teachers helps a lot!
The discipline to actually not armwrestle in training but practice is the hardest part in armwrestling. And it get’s out of hand SO EASILY. Again and again. Very well stated! The key-cue for me here is: Don’t loose or make your partner « loose integrity », or just that little bit.
Hard to argue about training with the RVJ. A legend of the sport with a lot of big wins so ya definitely know what you are doing 💪 you and Jerry gonna be training together to get ready for y'all's matches? Or is there still a tiny beef between y'all? Lol
This is exactly what im talking about i tell my guys we aren't getting together every week for a pecker measuring contest wins and losses isn't a thing in practice
Good insights on how to get more from table practices. Sparring is good and fun but I think it would be more useful if what you describe was more the norm.
I need to get back to this. I do these things, but more as a warm up before everyone just tries to tear each others arms off. I feel some of my injuries are from not doing this stuff.
I've found recently in training just training the center position. Not going balls out to try and pin my training partner. Plus just doing exercises on the table like pronation pulling
I have been thinking about this a lot lately as well and was going to make a video too! There is way too much ego at training sessions, I’m guilty of this as well. Get so trashed from practice that your tendons and ligaments are sore for a whole week. I’m resting an injury that I got from practice and that should never be the case. I like the way that you were explaining going to definitely pay this advice forward to my training partners and hopefully start to implement this methodology soon.
@@RobVigeantRVJ what are your thoughts on more intense practice every couple months in order to replicate a tournament or super match to condition the nervous system?
@@SuperiorArmsports absolutely, maybe even more often, but a portion should be like this … as long as you are moving correctly and not getting injured… you’ll feel out your rhythm
I said this exact same thing during the Paul italia show Hollywood asked me if I pulled I said I Im 265 I catch and hold our slightly lighter guys to really give them a max effort work out and we are on the same page as training partners with most of the guys pretty well . I'm in southern Ohio.
Don't forget the guy who doesn't like what they feel and just wants to go right to the straps rather than working their hand/grip to get stronger. It's akin to bringing a bench shirt to the gym and throwing it on the minute they don't like the amount of resistance they feel on the bar.
99% are just incapable of such thinking. Very hard to find a good thoughtful sparring partner. Most armwrestlers feel insecure about allowing the weaker guy to pin them. Never understood what's the problem with loosening up a little bit in the gym. I do it myself all the time. That's why I don't enjoy table practices any more. Stronger guys destroy my wrist and elbow, weaker ones avoid me because "I'm too strong for them", even though I mostly hold and allow them to work, wtf...
I've never understood going all out at practice. Why would you want to make it a whole 2 weeks to another month before you can work technique again? Ripping people open to the point that they're constantly sore all the time will never make them better. I'm a fan of isometrics because of this reason. If I'm not getting torn open, I can do it again in a day or two.
Most guys ego doesn't allow them to train like that.. and that's why they'll never become champions. They rather nail each other to the pin pad and be sore for 3 weeks instead of training specific angles
I agree with 100%. Don’t be that fucked up training partner lol. Wise words champ

Good afternoon my friend and thank you for sharing your experience
Probably the best practice video on the internet!
That’s about the best & concise explanation and advice I’ve seen. Good job Rob!

💯
I’ve also picked up injuries at practice that lasted a long time.
Practice should improve not damage
@@RobVigeantRVJ that tips great for those of us who aren't juiced, thank you

All of this probably upsets the mouth-breathers who think just pronated hammer curls with weights are the way to win on the table. Keep it up, Rob!

That right arm dammnnmn
The best I felt after pulling was us practicing 4 days in a row at 80 percent. It usually takes me two weeks to rehab after a normal practice
dont forget to make the mcwoody i want one alreaDY
lol… I’ll get to it buddy
Sauce time 😂
