Just a quick video showing my first playthrough of the updated The Whisper exotic mission, that returned with Into the Light today.
A bit of a sloppy playthrough, as I wasn't too sure what to expect or how much it has changed. This probably would've been under 13 minutes if I didn't waste time looking around to take it in a bit more. Mostly it seems to be the same on normal, outside of the noticeable differences on the boss fight and room itself. I'll have a legend clear up next, followed by a guide for all the new oracles and secrets. After that I'll take a look at onslaught. I wanted to do this first as I figured most people would be going into Onslaught, and this might be the different approach for those who were curious or wanted to see.
Also, no idea why the chat symbol was appearing throughout the run. I don't even have a mic plugged in, so it's weird it kept appearing. Shouldn't be an issue in the next runs anyway.

Fr I remember sherpa-ing so many guardians and it's what I told them to bring every time if they had it. Use the mini whisper to get the big one.

I remember when we first discovered this mission, and I remember trying to rush through the jumping puzzle with some friends all night only to barely fail the final fight due to time, until one guy made a video showcasing the skip, and the very next morning I hopped on with a Polaris Lance in tow ready to finish the mission first try. Good times. Thanks for all the work you do.
Can you skip the puzzles and go directly to battle?

We used to think it was necessary to scale that room completely because we didn't know about that cubby hole

@@yeetyeet3522that’s disappoints me. I did a lot of carry runs with outbreak and the “hard” version for people. I hope maybe I get to help you as well… so tr3vor doesn’t eat your butt.

@@Patternernah, give it a go. Took me and my buddies multiple multiple attempts to clear this 4 years ago and many more for the catalyst grind. But now, it is much more manageable with current day power levels and weapons. The boss fight is intense, and I’d put it up there with solo dungeon due to 4 bosses worth of damage you need to clear. Hella fun
Also, utilize the in-game lfg if need help.

part of me was hoping somehow they made Xol the end boss. still the most unique strike boss we had in D2.

@@spencergroce2022 Yeah, but we did it with a Zeus thunderbolt, so. Shows just how powerful Rasputin was and his capabilities. Sucks we had to lose him, but it made for, arguably, the best season of D2.
If you ever had an intro, it should totally include that line at the beginning saying “YOU ARE ALONE”

I haven't played D2 since they cut the whisper mission, it was my go to activity if I had nothing else to do, your original vids helped me learn it & helped me help others to get the gun, I ended with 150 clears. Thank you.

I just finished this mission. Only 1:05 left😂. Everything was fine except two place.
I have never played the mission before so, I am proud of that time.
It used to be 20 minutes, before season 10 I think enemies were weaker, then they became stronger and 20 minutes was really hard to solo

I remember this mission single handidly revamped D2 for me.
At least if the time runs out you can keep fighting the boss and get the reward. For me thats what happened since i wasnt able to dps them all down by the time i got there.

I never beat it when it was around the 1st time. Damn time was too fuckin short.
My skill is mid, sure, but my biggest hurdle is the platforming sections and maze. I have a fear of heights that even in gaming follows me.
I do appreciate the time being extended, because doing this mission within 20 minutes without the ability to extend the time like in Zero Hour is BS.

I did my first time flying around with Lions and Gullotine.
i doubt anyone that is struggling with regular d2 jumping stuff would really get to use those things to work around that, they are just harder to use

You missed one of the vex cubes to the left at 3:45 and another by taking the shortcut at 4:53
