You actually canât wet a chinchilla. They need to take sand baths in order to get clean. Their fur is so soft that if you wet it, the water canât dry off. They will actually get moldy.
Itâs ironic how, in order to have a clean chinchilla, the neat freak canât wash it.

Chinchillas fur is so thick that if they get wet they can't dry so the catch pneumonia. That's why they take dust baths instead.

As someone who suffers from three anxiety disorders including OCD and who was also a mental health therapist, I would tell Eggman Andy that if his therapist is not diagnosing him with OCD, he surely needs to find another therapist because he meets all these symptoms/criteria! I'm speaking personally and professionally!
Yes I personally have OCD (I'm not a therapist though) and I agree when I heard how many hours he spent on cleaning it was clear to me that he has OCD

The whole 4 thing is apparently very common (maybe not just 4 times but repeating an action more than once) and the egg cloth, the worrying about other people thinking it looks dirty and just all of the points sound like ocd on their own nevermind all together

Bud Borne Nah man, thatâs like saying that because someone canât concentrate properly, they must have ADHD. Just because someone has a symptom or 2 of a mental illness, doesnât mean they have it. Thatâs whatâs wrong with diagnostics these days, ADHD and OCD are so over diagnosed.

Iâm pretty sure he doesnât even live there. He cleans it to look like itâs for sale, so that the landlord doesnât suspect someone living there. Another theory, is that the landlord and Eggman have a deal. Eggman uses his OCD to keep the place clean and the land lord lets him live there meanwhile Eggman finds a job and the landlord finds someone that is going to rent out the place.
Never knew I needed these two together.

This is from a (I think) British TV show called Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners. I haven't seen this one, but in the show, they do show the person with close to OCD cleaning the house of the other person. Usually they're way too dramatic about it

Chinchilla's can't get wet because their fur is so thick it can trap water and start getting fungal infections. Chinchilla's have to take special dust baths.

Funnily enough to clean a chinchilla they need to be given what's known as a "sand bath". You have to bathe them in pumice stone dust, if you use water, because the fur is so dense, the chinchilla would grow mold and become sick.
