I got a genuine question I want to get my first bike and I’m thinking about starting on a r6 I don’t know if this would be to much power for a first bike tho. I’m just looking for advice from experienced riders.
I don’t suggest starting on 600s I always say ninja 400 is the best starter bike

It is a good starter bike, most likely you would grow out of it quickly. If you’re looking to buy your first bike, can I make a recommend?
I think it’s important to not start on anything with too much power, in addition to learning how to ride, you need to learn how to respect the bike and the power between your legs. So when shopping for a first bike, I would recommend buying a Ninja 400 over a 650. The 650’s only advantage is adding about 20mph to your top speed, for about twice the price. Buy a 400 which the intent of upgrading to a real 600 class sportsbike, like the zx6r or r6. You could even go from a ninja 400 to a liter bike, like I did.
The ninja 650 isn’t a good bike in my opinion. Save money buying a used ninja 400, ride it for a summer, and then upgrade once you have a good feel for riding/managing power.
I started on a ninja 650 and loved it, too each their own but I don’t think you’d out grow it quickly but if you want something of that class get an r7
