This is literally what i need to know in the game! The game gives 500 MR shards tickets so I was thinking of building character of each element who can finish selection quest. Thank you for posting this!
If you want to do selection quest stuff there are a few characters below MR which are super useful at 120 and easy to get shards for. Murmur, for Earth, and she is great for cost limited play as well.Learte in Lightning is straight up broken at 120 for an R level character, also slaps in PvP cost limited stuff. in Water Severo (and Zazan) are really helpful in the quests, even at 99. 99 Serjes in Ice for AP breaks is an honorable mention

Man this 2nd anni has been crazy, trying to buil Celes, Terra, Locke. Finished Noctis to 120, trying to get Arenea to 120, finishing her VC (mx 10 or something), Elena and her VC, got Yuna from ff series pity so im building her... bye bye all my vis, not pulling for quite a while lol
You can get Lilyth, Lorenzo, Ramada, and Shadowlynx shards from mog shop with cheaper price than other units. Although newer player might not have the mog medals a lot it's still worth considering imo
Yeah there are so many things new players need to pick up from those shops I put off suggesting this directly, but you are correct and it wouldnt be a waste.

I like niche videos sort of similar to this. You can consider making a list of the weakest classes per unit and highlight your favorite green mage for me ;)
I've been waiting for Ellshra to get her EX for such a long time now. Once it comes out, then I'll go and finish the Light selection quest. Not to mention, all of these mats from the 2nd anniversary, there are about 10 MR units I've been wanting to EX up. If I end up splurging on all these units, I'll finally just blast through all the selection quests and get a bunch of new UR units to use in PVP/PVE that I never could use as a viable option That Wind unit from the selection is a great mage, and since I don't have Halloween Lela, he will mesh great with EX Howlet

I agree w most of the list just with one exception. In fire id level Seymore. That said the only 2 MRs that i find are essential 120s to any acct are Fina and Lynx

MR units are getting more valuable too now with the Limited Guild Battles. MR units that cost 50 also have an advantage over those that cost 60 too, in this regard. You might be able to use the MR unit along with a 100 costed UR instead of a 90 or 80 costed, for example.
Valaide Ex is awasome for supports ice team. +60 acc buff/ice atk up aoe buff, all in massive aoe Atk/mag/wind resist/ice resist buff Love hunting wind team in limited cost GB with him Rafale and Gilgamesh.
i completed this quest for 5 elements before i noticed the bug. Not sure how are they going to resolve this since a lot of players lost varying amount of tickets.

It would be so hard to justify using the shard ticket on an sr or lower unit though, because you will naturally pull them far more than enough to max them out reasonably quickly
Shadowlynx is a quadruple threat: She's great in PvE, great in limited cost PvP, she's a great character, and she's got a really interesting visual design. :) My personal MR or below picks would be Adelard, Nasha, Dario(Loreila is really useful in selection quests though, and I think a lot of people undervalue her for pve), Murmur, Salire, Ramada, Fina, Shadowlynx. I do think that Creysse is one of the top 5 PVP MR units in the game though, limited availability though she is.
Im starting a MR only acc now, this will be helpful! For the 1st 5-man party my plan is Mont, Lynx, Fina, Sylma and Lilith/Seymour/Adelard. Fire units are so cool I cant choose 😂
Good list sir!! Ma waifu ramada for the win!! I can't tell you how many times ramada carried my tram in guild wars/pvp. Doom is a very nice skill specially to unkillable characters!
Murmur is def top teir for sr units. Mine takes very little damage cause for some unknown reason her physical resists (slash pierce strike) are stupid high like 40+ and her magic resist is around 80. Def recommend 120 her.
She hard carried my selection quest, and is probably my unit with the most mileage, starting from when she was smithing down the Orlandeau's for me, to today's limited cost content.

I was watching the video and my brain just jumped right back in time to me playing that game as a kid. I hope I'm right and if I am then kudos to you sir lol. That was the last game my grandmother gave me before she died so I appreciate that someone else loves the music from it too. If I am wrong that's fine too I just appreciate the memory lol.
Currently Running a Dark Team for limited. Evade comp with Whisper, Vinera, Shadowlynx. Vinera ran up and died (with at least 130 evade on her) and shadowlynx carried me to victory. Vinera is my Favorite unit in the game. She never dodges ANYTHING outside of PvE content....sometimes...
@@AuronnjJayy Are the stats different in multi vs regular brutal stuff because my Vinera has 282 eva before using a skill and she never evades a single thing in several of those multis. Actually even in the one regular brutal she was never evading anything.
So new accounts just get a max limit broken level 99 Ramada... what happens with shards then do they turn into mindsphere thingies or to souls or whatever? Is there any point picking it for her or to somebody else?
I think Seymoure has more legs to stand on on fire. Costing 50 is incredibly good for LGW and he has access to some very good utility with the thief job, along with a pretty good EX.
Lamada was one of the free level 99 MR units I got when I started... I sort of slept on her usefulness and didn't build her up because I thought "MR are worthless." Guess I was wrong. I also have 500 Awaken shards waiting on Fina, but haven't gotten around to using them. I'm also glade Shadowlynx has a free leveling challenge. It made me build her up... Also, she has some thicc thighs.
Something to note about shadowlynx is there is a permanent bingo board that lets you get her to 99 for “free”. This new bingo board would let you ex her after that.
as someone that has 120 Dario and used him in all past 3 limited guild war (and replaced him halfway through in all 3 occasion), i'll say this to whoever considering to bring him to max: just dont. the guy is slower than turtle, dude got sub 70 agi WITH shadow runner equip on (tank esper, like demon wall/ahriman + 5agi jeume TMR, pre rune, but rune benefit everyone, so its ceteris paribus anyway) On top of that, you literally have to turn off all his skill outside of taunting, bc god forbid he got overlapped by opposition tank and move into his other janky ass irrelevant spellblade skills range, which happens way more often than you'd think it is (ex: opponent tank move in, dario move, opponent's tank overlap him and get 2 turns in). Then, if the opponent's tank have high SPR and his taunting spell does less damage than his normal, he will literally not use the skill (yes this also happened) he also cannot tank anything well. Jayden? yeah, thats gonna be a 2 shot. Ibara? 2 shot wonder. Literally what CAN this guy tank, like jayden+elena buffed by zazan's man eater kill this guy in one round lol ty for coming to my ted talk

6:58 let's be honest arithmetician is SSS for any PVE content that don't have 90% magic resist enemies lol sad part is, there's so limited selecttion of arithmetician, I'm trying to build MR for selection but theunit that I'm sure 100% gonna use is Livialle and MArialle, cause of course arithmetician MRR unit should be cheaper to raise than UR but my hoarding persona kept thinking, why bother raising MRs, there's also a bunch or URs you haven't raised yet too
That 100% depends on what you have. Without knowing your account it's really hard to recommend. The obvious choices are odin + bahamut, but you can go a year without getting bahamut.
Like Cereal was saying which esper to max out depends a lot on what units you are using. I am planning to do a video over them with more general suggestions but I haven't made one in a long time. If you want to share screenshots of what espers you have / units you are thinking about feel free to drop by the discord and drop off some screenshots

I love Fina but all she does is spam Counsel and Aimed Fire when I just need her to shoot her dang bow. So frustrating!

It’d be great if they’d fix the 500 shard tickets so we could raise our MRs. The tickets don’t show up after collecting them.

Nobody talks about my boy Severo. SR mage with a haste/courage buff along with a red mage jamming thrust

Not an MR but i got surprised by Murmur, super tanky and has almost the same MAG of UR mages + Jamming thrust and a stonera that lowers Earth resist.

Vinera is a Luck heavy unit, don't forget to buff that
I don't love running evade in PVP myself, but I really like it for PVE

Ive heard this as well. And he is pretty solid in PVP right now too.
I have Khoury 120 right now and he puts in some work on selection quests and PVE. Really good unit with Frostbite.

Go into the farplane and do the quest line The Ancient Tome of Leonis. Her shards are drops from those quests.
