I came back the next day from school and apparently it had been closed for some reason so I opened it up and since it was warm and close to the cat food it was a perfect place to nest for roaches. I opened it up freaked out and dropped it and didn’t do anything with it for like a week because I was scared. My dad eventually saw it and was able to clean it out and surprisingly it still works to this day.

I remember thinking the SP was so revolutionary. No more front screen light add ons and it folded into half the size of the gameboy color. It was genius. And then the DS gave you basically PC mouse control for games like prime hunters and even though the cartridges were new, they left on the old GBA slot for backwards compatibility! And then there was the Estore on the newer models so you could play old games and ports of games from other consoles like Tales of the Abyss! And now the switch just speaks for itself. Incredible products (except the wiiu of course)

One of the other differences between the 3ds and the regular ds is that for the 3ds games, there was a lip on it and also in the card slot too. My sister had a 3ds back in the day while I only had a regular one.

You can try to replace from a thrift shop or online, although I can't say it will be easy.

I used to have a pink gameboy micro and a DS lite in turquoise. The micro was adorable but I used it so much the battery started to deteriorate and my DS snapped. Thankfully I have decided to obtain all the old consoles I used to have.
