2:48 I ordered a SmartCode 914's where the turn piece shaft was oriented upside down and ordered a replacement. The replacement came with the same problem. No turning of the shaft will get it into the position shown. Some reviewers online have suggested taking the assembly completely apart to turn the motor assembly 180 degrees saying it was installed upside down at the factory. Surely there is an easier way to address the problem?
Hi Alfred - Here to help! The SmartCode 914 Z-Wave lock must first be paired with a Z-Wave hub or security system before you can pair it with Alexa. Some examples of Z-Wave compatible systems are Samsung SmartThings, Wink, Ring Alarm System, Vivint, and ADT. Once the lock is paired to one of these systems, you will be able to integrate the lock with Amazon Alexa. Thanks ~ Kwikset Social

Happened to me too. I took it apart a reoriented it. Sucks for such an expensive product but at least it can be fixed.
I had the same issue. My problem seems to be my door lock is on the right side of the door and most doors locks are on the left side.
Are the numbered keys suppose to light up? Mine do not. If so, how do I make them light up. I can’t see the numbers at night to unlock my door.
Try pressing the top button first. Mine lights up nicely but the issue with the lock orientation makes me want to chug this thing in the trash 😡

The passwords stopped working after I needed to replace the batteries. Do I need to reprogram the password ?

Doesnt show any instructions on how to add to a pulse or command security system , be nice if it did

How could you guys manufacture these with a wrong lock orientation? This is an expensive lock and someone at the QA needs to be fired!!!
