Our cooperative housing society of limited liability and tenant copartnership type has 47 members and owns a plot of 1555m2. We have an elected managing committee and above that the Registrar. Owner of plot neigbouring our society plot wants our society members to give signed consent to a servitude deed over 672m2 area out of plot area of our society in exchange for which a redeveloper coowner of neigbouring plot will give us more area than what other builder can give. Does giving signed consent to a servitude deed imply dilution of plot ownership rights of our society members? Is consent of each of 47 members of our society on servitude deed needed? Does servitude deed need to be registered? What can be done by a member of the society opposed to this servitude deed to ensure that his or her plot coownership right does not get diluted by this servitude deed?
