    Hello Fafael, this plugin is really great. But I wanted to find a way to make some animations and save it for later projects. I found this way: I loaded the plugin in Motion and converted it in an effect. Motion asks what you want to use as the effect source. Tell the Background to change it into the effect-source. If you saved the project as effect, you can make an animation and save it in fcpx as a preset. Now you can use the same animation in other projects. Kind regards, Howie!

    Hi Rafael. Thanks for the videos on FCPX. I have a MacBook 16” 2019 2.3 ghz 8 core with UHD graphic and 32 gig ram. I am currently on Catalina 10.15.7 and wanted to upgrade the OS to get more out of the fcpx like tracking. Could you advise which OS would be best with this MacBook , as in would it be better to go to an OS before Monterey or not? At the moment the system works really well with 4 k 50fps files from my Sony cam as well as the 10 bits DJI Mavic files.

    Hi Rafael :) Super thanks for this awesome video, mCamRig is great ^.^ In my tutorial videos I sometimes need to zoom into a screen recording and then move to a couple of different spots on the screen and after that zoom back. I see that mCamRig supports adding keyframes for additional camera movements, but as far as I have tested there is no easing on those keyframes, the movement between the keyframes is just simple linear, only the zoom in and zoom back have nice easing :) Would have any other recommendations or solutions for multiple smooth zoom ins and pans? Super greatful ^.^

    • @RafaelLudwig
      @RafaelLudwig  Před 2 lety +2

      That is also my biggest frustration with FCP! I change the position of the underlying video and that has a smooth function. So instead of adjusting the position of mCamRig for the second move, adjust the position of the clip under the adjustment layer. And at the same time adjust the rotation of mCamRig camera. It's not perfect but it's smoother going from position to position.

So If I turn it into a compound clip with just the first layer, if the first layer is just a PNG element with no background, it will create a gray background to it, and you can't see the layers below.. any solution?

    thank you so much for this awesome Plugin! Love it! By the way, how can i control the hardness (ease) of the x and y axis (position) when a put many of this keyframes in a animation? It seams to be impossible (?) I can't make the x and y axis motions (position) smooth. Thank you!!

    • @RafaelLudwig

      Keyframes and easing are the worst part of Final Cut Pro. It's not the plugin. I too struggle to make it smooth for multiple moves within one shot. Hopefully apple improves the key framing in final cut soon! Check out Dylan Bates' channel he has some pretty cool ways to improve motion animations. czcams.com/users/TheFinalCutBro

    I downloaded mTracker 3d. There are 4 .pkg files. Which file should I put it in? I couldn't find the right place in any way.

    What do you think about the mtracker I'm really wanting to buy it

    • @RafaelLudwig
      @RafaelLudwig  Před 2 lety +1

      It looks like a great plug in, and worth it if you will use it for many shots. I use After Effects and C4D to do similar 3D camera moves, so I haven't picked it up, and now FCP has the built in Tracker that works pretty well.

    Raphael, is there any way to control the speed/duration of the push in? This would appear to be a crucial option. I can't seem to find a parameter adjustment for that. Could be that I am not seeing it?

    • @RafaelLudwig
      @RafaelLudwig  Před 2 lety

      As far as I know it doesn't have that. I have reached out to Motionvfx to see if they can add it!

      @@RafaelLudwig I am working with stills, so the workaround is to turn it into a compound clip and slo-mo the compound clip, which then slows the effect. Unfortunately it kind defeats the purpose of a "quick and easy" vfx. Let's hope they listen to your request. 🤞

    Hey great tool. I've been trying it out but having a hard time getting keyframes to animate too. At timestamp 4:41 you animate the Camera X Y Position and it looks like it has a slow start and stop animation as well. But I tried the exact same thing and the frame is just animating in a linear motion, rather than slow at the start/stop of the animation. Am I missing something?

      @NandanV Před rokem +1

      Hey, I'm having the same issue - were you able to resolve this? Edit: I figured that if you layer the mCamRig transitions, they smoothly add up to allow you to zoom between different spots on the screen. It makes the timeline look much heavier but gets the job done

    • @landonakiyama
      @landonakiyama Před rokem

      @@NandanV Thanks! this seems like the only fix that I've found. Are you just stacking multiple mCamRig transitions to the timeline?
