The way she lectures is why I thought she'd be bad. So glad to see I'm wrong.
She also used to work in the ballroom scene
Also she learnt a lot from those drag queens who are judged by her.
The reason she judges is because she proved herself a good peformer. She's always been detail oriented and it shows, especially in her singing

Everyone judged Michelle for being to harsh of a judge and then she pulls something like the last 3 strictly dances she has, she knows whatâs she talking about when it comes to performance, never underestimate mama Michelle

What's even funnier about this is that the second season of Glow Up was just released and this make up look was actually created and executed by a contestant on that show who won a challenge and was invited to recreate her looks on the set of Strictly for this couple's performance!

Michelleâs just naturally got it
Whatâs remarkable is how easily and smoothly she gets back into hold at the 1:20 and 1:40 marks. That stuff is hard. Look at how many misgrabs there are on this show. You have to be in perfect sync with your partner for the hands to meet up at exactly the same time.
Exactly...and how well she does the turns, totally centered, no sign of unbalance or insecurity...and the way she moves arms and shouldersâŠit so smooth. She really got this!
I thought the same, it's almost magnetic. I don't think Michelle and Giovanni are exactly best friends forever, but they clearly work very well together.
I get excited by the small transitional moments like this, also! It shows that she has a sense of timing, rhythm and musicality and also that Gio is a great teacher :)

If I was to be honest, I never expected Michelle to be this consistently good, she really is pulling it out the hat and giving it everything - brilliant to see. I would like her to keep her frame throughout the full dance but that will come with more practice hours. 8 from me!

This was the best dance of the night I think despite others getting higher marks - Giovanni is really a great showman
She's great. I can tell she takes everything on board the judges say and is a professional to work with.
Giovanni is such a showman I love it, but he also knows how to put his partner in the spotlight at the same time. Each of his dances are like mini movies and I never want them to end
Damn. I must credit Giovanni for such clever choreography. The initial section of Michelle doing solo sets in the mood perfectly for the theme with sultry jazz vibes. As soon as she gets in the hold, we get to see some standard Quickstep done with no messing around. The penultimate section exhibits little bit of Charleston, which exemplies the theme further and then again they get back in hold. Looking at the specifics, she had a really good frame and she sustained it throughout the sections with the sharp footwork. Over and above, she acted too well to bring out the characterization very much needed for this piece to stand out. Good Job!

Her timing is excellent.
Dare I say undermarked or rather that another gentleman may have been overmarked đ€«, if they had been later in the running order I wonder if theyâd have received higher marks. Michelle did not put a foot wrong and is without a shadow of a doubt one of if not the frontrunner of the competition (the only dancer who has scored excellently in both ballroom and Latin). I give the costume department major props for the exceptional costumes that they created for tonightâs show especially trying to make them meet the character and be perfect for the dance however this dress really wasnât flattering for Michelle, the fringe wouldâve worked for something with more spins or sharp movements a Charleston, Cha Cha or Salsa but donât think it achieved the effect that they were really going for. 8/10

Michelle just keeps impressing me sheâs surprised me so much so much this season I can see her being a shoe in for the finals this could be Giovanniâs season incredible performance as usual 9/10

Am I the only one who noticed the mistake at 0:57 on the backwards hopscotch step? Her backward leg ups were great and the running promanade was brilliant too. She was sassy yet she could quite it graceful and classy. Her frame was very very good but I think in the Latin she comes out a little bit more I think it suits her more. Quickstep is a very fast dance. I noticed she (more so they) did the 10 second rule. I also loved th side to side kicks they were beautiful. Also the chair bit at the beginning was beautiful I really enjoyed, alot more than seeing it on TV. *8/10*

I'm calling it now I think Michelle might be the one to beat (then again we do have a history of front runners only coming runner-up). This quickstep was full of pizzazz and performance. Her ballroom hold is spot on, and she kept the energy up throughout the entire routine. Now it did take a little long for her to get into hold for my liking, and once again she's another one who broke it in the middle. But if she's not in the finals I'm eating my hat. (8)

Along with this dance. A Brilliant show opener. Character was on point and was very watchable. This couple is dangerous. It did look heavy, would have liked more in hold and personally could have had a little more energy imo. But a very strong start
