- Hobart woman, Stef Gebbie recently completed an epic journey across Australia on horseback.
The 27-year-old and her two horses, Richard and Tickles, spent seven-and-a-half months riding from Snowy River in south-east Victoria to Margaret River in Western Australia's south.
Ms Gebbie’s 4,500-kilometre expedition through the outback was not raising money for a cause or breaking a record.
Instead, she said she simple did it for some peace and quiet.
Her trip highlight was ridding across the cliffs of the Great Australian Bight, and lowlight was making her way through the scorching West Australian summer.
She now plans to ride across North America in coming years.
