Can I talk you personally
Bonjour, à quand la fin du projet 61? Please.
It's nice that there are still people in Japan who are willing to spend a lot of money on things like this wall and thus preserve the old crafts. The combination of clay and straw was the first use of composite material which, amazingly, was invented independently in several places on earth. Our ancestors didn't have computers, but they were still very innovative.
I think that is exactly right.
This technology is simple and has been used all over the world.
I feel that it is this traditional technology that has the attractiveness that is produced.
I had no idea of the fermentation step and it was eyes opening. Thank you. I dream of making a similar construction here in Germany mixing japanese and european techniques. You are such an inspiration
I'm glad I could be of service to you 😊.
I will continue to make various videos!
So beautiful! ❤ The curvature of the tiled roof reminds me of the scales on the back of a dragon 🐉. What workmanship!
That's right!
It is truly the back of the dragon! 😊
The Master (Sensei?) reminds us Westerners of the ideas of buildings lasting for centuries. I doubt many builders in the modern Western traditions consider the longevity of their work, or the attitudes and appreciation of the work such as this very basic yet complex wall. The owner must be recognized for the salvage of the roof tile and perhaps the cut stone elements of the back side of the wall. The video production enhances our appreciation of this very unusual project, both in its type and size. Thank you very much!
That is exactly how I feel.
In also in Japan, new things are being born and then destroyed again and again.
We have to learn to pass on the good things to the next generation like this owner did 😊.
I love how the earthen walls seem to be embracing that beautiful, tall stand of pine trees! Wonderful!
Thank you very much!
I too think the combination with that tree is really beautiful! The vertical lines of the wood and the horizontal lines of the earthen wall are comfortable.
My heart was moved by this wall and I live 11,775 km from its location. Arigato Gozaimasu
Thanks for watching my videos from far away!
Arigato😊
Amazing job, and the whole place look beautiful.
It was interesting to hear the thoughts of the niwashi after all was over
I am glad to hear such feedback!
I'll make sure to include the Niwashi's feedback next time 😊.
This is absolutely wonderful, reminded me of the time when I was building my raised garden beds with blue stones. Didn’t have any cement but lots of clay soils and straw laying around, mixing them all up with water and used them as mortar as a test ( as I have seen similar videos like these before ). It’s been five years since and my garden beds still going strong ( lots of luck on my part 😊).
Old school ways and knowledge in utilising natural materials still proven the best I think 🤔.
Yes, it is!
I still prefer the warmth of the soil to the coldness of the mortar.
It is so loveble construted and loveble filmed and documented❤
Thank you so much!!😊
God bless you young man, God bless you. Fantastic.
Thank you so much!!
Marvellous! What a great work! Thank you for sharing! 🌿🌱
(I had a professional training to build and decorate with earth, it's fantastic! )
Thank you for your kind comments!
I'm glad I could be of any help to you!😊
Stunning work. Thank you.
It's such a pleasure to watch these videos, thank you !
This is another beautiful project thank you.
Thank you so much!!😊
Wow that first shot! Barbenheimer!
What a nice place ✨
Thank you😊✨
Wonderful
Thanks!
I absolutely love this earthen wall. Beautifully filmed video as well. As an aside, i am intrigued by the built-in fan in one of the workers' vests; I've never seen anything like it!
Thank you very much!
This work uniform with fan is becoming a common uniform in Japan😊.
It's a great idea
Wow how amazing! What an incredible trade to have that makes something in to a piece of art. Looking down on the roofline it looks like a dragons back...beautiful! God bless 😊
It really is!
This roof is really cool, it looks like a dragon!
what a wonderful video. Enclosing the garden or property with earth, its warmth, its coolness, truly a work of art. Using fermentation, old 100 year old tiles brings us to the present yet leaves room for experimentation in the future.
Thank you for your kind comments!
I think you are so right 😊.
This earthen wall has made it another beautiful space.
I love that's wall style ,I wanna made it soon by myself .
How beautiful! It is interesting that some of the base stones are in natural shapes and some have been shaped into flat slabs. It's a wonderful addition to this place.
Thank you for your kind comments! 😊
It was a fascinating earthen wall✨
Stunning, thanks for sharing the process...the tile are amazing...!
Thank you so much!!😊✨
Thank you ❤😮
🙌🙌✨
Really glad that this was documented as I hope to build a long garden wall as well.
Tips: "1 Month Later" and "3 Months Later" - anything more than 1 means an 's' is added.
I am really interested in how the pond was made. In general, how ponds are traditionally made. Even with most of the way reading through Sakuteiki as written by Jīro Takei and Marc P. Keane. It would be very helpful to see it in practice.
I love all your videos. And it's good that sometimes they are in a different style - keep up the great work !
Glad to hear it!
This format was a challenge for me as well!😊
Thank you
This is one of my favorite garden channels. Thank you showing the traditional methods of building things.
Beautiful.!!🤗👌
This is an amazing work of art that looks like it just grew out of the ground! Thank you as always for bringing us interesting content, and I liked the style of video! Its very interesting to watch the process!!
Thanks again for your kind comments!
I'll be making more videos in the future 😊✨
@@JapaneseGardenTV it's my pleasure! I'm learning so much from your videos!
That's simply just stunning! I love how the walls curve and how the tiles look like dragon scales. Like a huge serpent. Beautiful.
Thank you very much!
It really looks like the back of a dragon! 😊
It turned out to be a very cool earthen wall✨
Just beautiful.
Thank you😊✨
I really enjoyed previous videos that showed earthen walls, but its interesting to see them in such a big scale setting
A beautiful structure and the use of the ancient roof tiles were a perfect addition..
Arigato, muchas gracias.
Thanks for this video. Why does mister Hajime Atarashi believe the wall will survive centuries? In my experience wood that comes into contact with soil will decompose. Is it preserved by the fermentation process?
Of course, the soil will be ravaged by rain and temperature. But since the structure is not exposed to water, it does not collapse easily. Of course, it will still weaken gradually though 😊.
Takk!
Thank you so much!!🙏✨
Congratulations on 125K subscribers. You've earned everyone of them.
I thought the format for this video was very good and enjoyed the presentation.
Thank you very much!
This change to the format was a challenge for me and I am glad you are pleased!
Un mot, sublime.
🙌✨
Good!!
👍
This is indeed a very old technology, which is used not only in Japan, but also in Central Asia. In the countries of Central Asia, it was called "saman". It was also used to build houses.
Yes, it is!
I think this technology is used all over the world!
In Japan, it is still used in architecture!
It looks awesome. Have you heard of rammed earth, where the soil mixture is compacted in a form. Why do you prefer this method over rammed earth? Cheers
Very labor intensive but lovely.
Why was the roof completed first?
If you waited, you could have filled the framework with clay/straw from above, tamped it into place and then placed roof on top.
Seems inconvenient to fill the center of the wall from the sides.....
The reason is that it was winter when they started making them!
Putting soil in in the winter is difficult because it freezes. So this time they made the roof first😊.
Modern construction is starting to embrace rammed earth construction again.
Yes, it is.
The warmth of these natural materials may be necessary today.
Katanya di luar negri salah 1 jepang bikin konten susah, ribet?
👍✨
Mohon maaf kalo salah saya cuma bertanya.
