The future is electric, the future is fu*ing bleak,
the only time i remember power cuts taking place in the UK is when they had been done on purpose during planned outages by energy grid employees on strike for better pay in the 1970s. this power cut just had to be a power cut at a UK airport. funny that, since we are at odds with Russia at the moment and they have said we are one of there first targets they have lined up in there target hairs. better stock up on cans of baked beans and tinned fruit. just saying lol.
f*cking ?
Call this Great Britain were nothing but a joke.Little Britain is more like it.😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
16.500 billioners left uk
All the British rich and powerful are leaving whilst our corrupt government allow mass unprecedented numbers of third world criminals who don’t wish to integrate nor work and hate our culture
Can't say little Britain we have around 80m people. 😆
Great Britain is called such as it's the geographical term for the largest island in the British Isles.
Sheep to America more like broken little America wheir going the same way
That's totally unacceptable that they don't have diesel generators as back up power . Oh but that would cost money!!
The U.K. is devolving into a 3rd World country.
Yes, but you have got to consider the planet!
And it's a wonder given the parking charges... my gf comes over next Wednesday!
Someone will blame brexit
They're mire likely to blame Russia or China these days!
No, it will be Net Zero, just ask Farage.
@@annishilcock4587says a rich man..😂
No back up generators !!! 🙈🙈🙈
Manchester. Living here. No generators doesn’t shock me. We aren’t Singapore. Jokers
Where is the electric Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). They are having a laugh.... All the airport staff doing rock all, all on overtime, blah, blah, blah
Third world 🤣🤣🤣
Can't use them there Diesel engine driven . 😂😂
Like London they probably do have back up generators but they would be used for he likes of tower, radar and runway lights.
If you see Bruce Willis in the airport......RUN.
😅😅😅😅😅😅
I am at the airport now and it’s absolute carnage no one knows what’s happening , we don’t know if our flight is cancelled , was supposed to fly at 6 am but not happened 🤷🏽♂️ , jet two are flying but without suitcases , 🤷🏽♂️🍺
Wishing you the best.
Hope it resolves for you fast! All the best 😔
My sympathies, stay calm in the chaos .
Unfortunately it's symptomatic of contemporary sh*thole Britain and nobody gives a toss. The swing to the left and all the WOKE culture = no single person takes responsibility; it's a 'team' solution!
Who'd of thought.
Broken Tory Britain just another symptom
Don’t go to Birmingham airport, its like this every Day
Who’s nicking the wires for scrappage value again? Why on earth doesn’t the airport have standby generators?
Surely there should be backup for this critical facility.
I thought Russia was bombing the Ukrainian power grid
Sounds about right. UK 3RD WORLD
Dont they have generator backups?
All generators were sent to Ukraine
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣@@alexbort3082
@@alexbort3082 ? 😀
@@susandouglas4470The good people of Britain have rejected your filthy politics, Susan.
Don't be silly of course not 😂😂
Just the START of yet ANOTHER summer of airport CARNAGE!!!
This happens EVERY SINGLE YEAR!!! Without fail, over and over and OVER AGAIN!!!
Anyone would think they were doing this DELIBERATELY to discourage us PEASANTS from having the audacity to have a FOREIGN HOLIDAY!!
How DARE WE!!! As the old saying goes...... the beatings will continue, until morale improves!! (or we GIVE UP FIGHTING THEM)
Thou shall not travel
" eat zie bugs " 🐛 Schwarbs
If your coming to the airport be prepared , your in for a long wait possibly flights are now getting cancelled
Keep CASH....people insusting on cashless places are muppets. Once the grid goes down you are stuck....cash works during such a crisis, and has done for hundreds of years.
Cash won't make a difference if the power is down and you can't get through the security 😂
@@peterdavis540 you are so funny, wait till you get trapped by the digital system.
Do you pay tax?
Rumour has it it’s Telsa owners crashing the grid 😂
we had a power cut in Bridgend town center yesterday, it was a short outage lasting 5 minutes at lunchtime.
I'm living near Bridgend and we've had two power cuts in the past week, only lasting about 10 minutes each time but the mobile phone networks went down too which I've never seen before.
We are getting on our plane where they will give us the option to travel without suit cases or get off and go home , and rebook our holidays🤷🏽♂️😤
How are you supposed to fly without a suitcase? Don’t people need to take clothes and belongings with them on a trip
A major public facility with no on site stand by generators, only in Britain I suspect
So it all starts again...summer holiday time here we go again. Just waiting for the next planned glitch
Absolutely have to agree with you, weird isn't it.
I was surprised Calder didn't blame climate change.
Normally important buildings have an uninterrupted power supply system. Powered by gas or diesel. I can't understand why this isn't the case here
Because it's not a building, it is an airport. It would need standby generators as big as a power station.
Never heard of owning back up generators at all, jesus I could run it better myself.
It's unbelievable that a place that relies on an efficient electricity supply, doesn't have a back up system in place.
I suppose any investment would erode the huge profits these places make.
This is tory Britain
So comforting to know that everything will work beautifully when Starmer is in charge, oh, by the way, i've an
application form to join the Flat Earth Society you may be interested in!!
14 years of Tory control and everything is at capacity. Vote clowns get clowns
It was scary chaos.they told waite for flight it will few hrs late but after long waite ,flight cancelled
Been here since 2 am our flight has been delayed but no update from Tui 🤷🏽♂️
Are flights being allowed in? My hubby is a mini bus driver he's supposed to be picking up this afternoon. Can someone please let me know. Thank you
We've had a couple of power cuts in south Wales just in the last week or so which also effected mobile phone masts too which I've not seen before.
I’m in south east and we had a power cut last night about 11.30.. the whole area was out for about 10 minutes
What a surprise 😂😂😂😂😂
Meanwhile, illegals brakes the uk boarder. New on a way from Germany , deported.
Same happened at East Midlands Airport on the 30th May this year
Your Airports don't have back up generators??
don't worry we will install a few more solar panels.😂😂
most flights operated, some with delays...
What an idiotic post. Hundreds of flights are canceled. Those "fortunate" enough to fly early this morning will have arrived at their destinations with no luggage.
I’m going on hoilday on Tuesday from Manchester hopefully it will be ok
oh yeah, are we supposed to belief that is is not another disruption tactic by Russia. Hospitals yesterday, airports today.
it's the net zero green agenda.. anything to deter you flying next time without actually banning you.. higher costs and disruption..why do you think it happens every year planes.trains.motorways.
Nothing but lies…… I have been an industrial electrician for 40 years and worked at man airport…… north-west electricity also can’t be at fault if terminal 3 still has power….. on a report this afternoon it was down to a conveyor going down (yes this happens) but no way on this earth should that take out lights and computers it can’t happen….. 3phase and single phase are two separate powers and each by law must be protected by there own breakers that law ….. one convoy problem takes out all terminal 1 and 2 means Manchester airport has an internal power problem and is not safe
Fog of war.
Worst airport I've been to outside of Africa.
It’s a disgrace Man airport, everyone slags the damm place off.Much rather fly out of other airports if I could.
This could cause a huge human crush
In palma now and still no news of our luggage , having to buy clothes toiletries footwear etc , no one can locate our luggage fed up of trying now just going to get on with our holiday 🤷🏽♂️
Just stop oil responsible?
Should have set up a direct debit, saves having to remember to pay the electric bill.😁😁
Just arrived at palma no luggage got to fill out forms 🤷🏽♂️
Tens of thousands of people delayed, also an equal and OPPOSITE number coming in. I thought that would mean minus tens of thousands of people.
Labour has a plan 😂😂😂
😂😂The whole country is F*cked
Net zero ladies and gentleman - this is what you wanted.
Vote Reform UK
Probably wind power supply
What about air traffic control?? How do they operate without electricity??Its enough to put you off air travel completely!!
NATS (UK ATC) are in Swanwick, Hampshire and Prestwick.
Manchester tower (departures, arrivals, ground) have their own backup. If that is ever down though - flights would just talk to NATS and worst case - get diverted.
Just Stop Oil…
Vote reform if you want change
Bloody foreign electricians ..
Everything that can be done to deter EcoVandals from flying must be done. Their greenhouse gas emissions impact all of us down here below. Airports allow in migrants who arrive but never leave. Conversion to wetland wildlife sanctuary be fairly straightforward and better for the environment.
Solar or wind power
So....cyberattack.
Get used to it norm with rentables
What an excuse blaming the electricity company, when the person who was trusted to feed the electric meter, probably had too many beers the night before and forgot to do, his or her job…
LOL…
Only Joking…
No hate please, it's a joke, if you don't understand what a joke is please try looking the word up in the Oxford dictionary.
It is a cyber attack dude
It's a possibility
The power cables of the airport are identifying as waterlines today to celebrate the rainbow month. We should all rejoice!🤗
PRIVATISED ELECTRICITY ??

Sabotage ?
UK Border Force?
They come across in boats, not planes.
Wind turbine failed? 🤔
Well the sun is shining so it must be that or the wind, shouldn't have that curry.
What happened to the back up generators? We pay enormous airport fees there is absolutely no excuse for this.
Electrical engineer.
Planes use fuel not electricity.
We live in weird times
Yes, but what does fuel pumps run on? What do lights run on? How do you keep the air traffic control tower, working again?
@@Erakius323 The fuel pumps are operated by hand.
@@rhysenna That I find doubtful. A hand pump system might be available as a back up, but as a primary? It would be so much slower and less efficient. And if you have electricity, why not just use an electric? Edit: and even if the airport switched to a manual back up, that would still cause chaos. It would be so much slower and the schedule would have been planned around having faster, more efficient, electric pumps available.
Dumbest comment today 😂😂😂
U.K. is dependent on France for electricity supply in an emergency!
Russians
Is that more important than a young lad missing in Tenerife?
One word: Putin.😝
Lets blame this on the immigrants or Muslims as well.
