Ultramobility Nice coach. I forgot, you also own a different Pleasureway, yes? With such a tiny propane capacity , how can the generator run for more than a few minutes? Or maybe I misunderstood your stats.
@@kenmc1 Ah thanks for that. I thought I heard Neil say it was a propane generator, not gasoline. And the propane tank on this rig is tiny. That makes more sense.
It’s a nice layout, but for me I prefer the TS models for the larger galley and refrigerator and larger closet that doesn’t hang over the seat. The FL is a good choice, like you said, for a couple that needs two separate areas for those occasions when you need some space!
Neil. Because of your comprehensive videos we purchased a lexor a couple weeks ago. We watched all of your videos numerous times And because of the quality we went with the pleasure way. Thanks for helping us on our journey. We're very happy with our purchase. Peter
Just got back from Big 2020 RV show in Tampa. Thankful that pleasure way was in big building with A/C. Had a chance over two days to speak with Dean Rumpel & let him know how much Myself & others enjoyed your 3 part factory tour up at Pleasure Way. Suggested you maybe return in few years & do update. Loved OnTour 2.2 have one on order. Ford sending all big safety features on transit. I really wanted those & was willing to wait. Dean said new transits are on the train headed for Canada.
1. Happy with the deeper sink. 2. Not happy about losing a cutlery drawer. Building one myself. 3. Just need one more freaking drawer in there and I'll be happy. 4. The new dash on the Mercedes Sprinter sucks. Cupholders suck. The shallow climate controls suck. 4. The Promaster's door cubbies and the cupholders with the rubber inserts are just the best. The climate controls are big, easy to figure out and work with gloves. Enjoying the Luxor TS a lot. Did I mention more drawers?
Nice coach. It's a great road trip coach for a couple. Couple of days boondocking, then moving on. The amount of space for food storage, and waste tanks means you can't boondock for much longer than that. The fact that it can city drive and park makes it easier for vacations. Because it is ultimately a vacation van, not a live in van. And I actually hang up some of my clothes, so I like having a real hanging wardrobe. And I find the larger bottom is a good place for shoes and bulky clothes like sweats which don't easily fit in the upper cabinets. So that wouldn't be wasted space for me. Definitely a win the lottery and buy a few years old purchase for me. 😉 🍺
Excellent review! Excited to be renting a PW XLTS for a week in Tucson in late November. We are going to rent some different PW models to help us figure out what we want when it’s time for us to buy,
Just what I was thinking I am a few years out from buying so I think I will start renting at least 2 a year for the minimum of 2-3 days up to a week each year for the next few years
I just ordered one of these babies after a long time looking. Couple of errors and omissions: the generator is gas powered off the main gas tank. One of the 2020 upgrades is Sumo springs. Agree with you on the fridge. Looked at the Ontour because it has a compressor type. Still didn't beat the Lexor in layout and room. Great review, as always. Thanks for helping me feel good about our decision.
I do like PW's coaches, but I am extremely happy I went with my Dynamex REV. It too has the gas promaster FWD and is a dream to drive and maneuver. I love watching your videos and although I decided on something a bit bigger, your videos really helped with the features I knew I couldn't live w/o. Thought I might want a B after living in it, but after 7mths- I love my REV! Thanks again for the videos. It's nice to see whats out there and what other people are looking for.
Hi Neil: We really loved the Lexor FL except for two BIG things that we considered to be problems. 1. The uneven floor with the TWO levels. I saw a youtube video of a person who bought this van and fell as she got up in the middle of the night and forgot the floor dropped. Her spouse tripped when he got out of the driver's seat because he forgot the floor dropped. We found this uneven floor to be almost dangerous for older people. I can just picture someone who needed a cane getting all tripped up with these steps. 2. The SMALL black water tank. To your point, boondocking becomes quite difficult with this small tank. Other than those two issues, we would have purchased this rig, but will not.
This FL floorplan is my favorite of all the class B van setups. The swivel front seats with that lagun(? spelling) table and flip up computer desk is super rare and necessary. Wish these models weren't so expensive to start out with.
Yep, I found out the hard way when I bought a used 2016 XLMB. I bought it with only 9000 miles on it but it was also out of the Mercedes 36 month warranty. as well as Pleasure way. I just bought it in February 2019.
As always, PW is the BEST! Bar None.....this is the coach of choice. How many on the Ram Promaster offer Lithium as a option, this is standard! The Wetbath is probably the largest in class and the build quality is Bar None!!!!!!! THX Neil, you know we are bias like all get out, but with PW it is a no Brainer!
...and not all the emissions issues the MB has too! Thanks for the review but must remind the presenter that we are all holding our breath for the Cross Trek review 😁 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😎😎
As far as the counter space is concerned ; the sink cover can be placed on the foot stool next to the stove . Hand brake , if place on right side of drivers seat would preclude any swivel of the drivers seat like the Ford . Too bad neither company could make it a foot emergency brake. Thanks for the review.
I love Pleasureway because of their high standards for building what is basically a small apartment on wheels. Always high quality. The tank sizes need to be adjusted to give more size to the grey and black tanks. You can just look at the rigs they produce and tell they are built to not only look good but last for years. Like you said, they need more standard options. Love the video Neil!
Wish manufacturers would get rid of bathroom sinks and the storage under to have an all fiberglass shower area with elbow room. I do understand that for financing reasons its supposed to have a " Full bath".
I don’t think the fold down lounge table is necessary given the lagun table is so versatile. Do like extra stretch room that space provides for driver seat. Agree the size of Black tank is too small. Owners want to use their own bathroom not rest stops. Design team pls work on increasing holding tanks. Yikes that emergency brake location is a hazard.
I like this coach , however I agree with you about the tank sizes . Give me a smaller fresh water , and larger grey, black , and lp. I also would like a more traditional wet bath and a counter extension . Thanks for another great review .
I agree with you. I love the front lounge integrated with the revolving drivers seat. Excellent, efficient form-fit-function to keep the overall length of the vehicle able to still park in a standard parking space. I hope they have a full-lithium power design available soon, if not today, without that noisy generator. In fact, as I understand it, Boldt lithium RV doesn't even have solar panels, bc they are not needed, as the lithium batteries recharge automatically when the vehicle travels. Nice!!
Neil, thanks so very very for doing a complete walk through of the Pleasure Way Lexor FL as if I was going to purchase a class b van today this would be the model for me! I like the fact that the generator is a gas generator and if you need to run the AC when not plugged in you can use the gas from the main gas tank. In addition, the front lounge is a wonderful feature and the residential style bathroom is a very nice touch. Having a long counter with two AC outlets are very handy in the bathroom and the medicine cabinet and the mirror just enhances the bathroom even more. I wish there was more counter space for kitchen area as you do. In addition, I love having the pull down screens in the rear and back and how that brings the outdoors to you every day. I wish that Pleasure Way and Dean would produce one of their videos as they have NOT done one for this model. However, you have and thanks!
Neil, you are welcome and I have been watching your videos for several years. Are you planning to get back with Panoramic Vans again as you were so excited about their product earlier this year? Thanks for all you do.
Just wanted to echo for the readers, the video said at 15:45 the generator was Liquid Propane, which surprised me. From the owner's manual: "Your generator is a gasoline generator that draws its fuel supply from your gasoline tank, the generator will shut down when the gasoline tank reaches 1⁄4 ." I would also like to add I've heard the generator, and while a little louder on the inside than I may have liked at first, it was surprisingly quieter outside the coach (especially the "fun" side) than I expected.
Neil, I think you do a great service to both consumers and manufacturers with your detailed, analytical, and incisive reviews. I enjoy them a lot and benefit from your knowledge and careful observation. This review was no exception. Pleasure-way is certainly doing a great job of making RVs and they are certainly more affordable than the ridiculously priced Airstreams which are over $200K! Thank you so much for your wonderful reviews. fyi - please show the bathroom floors.
What a great review! I know you did this more than a year ago but I just saw it and was wondering if there was one class B, with a lounge configuration, that we could sleep sideways (I'm 5'8'' and my wife 5'6'') for a 'short night' and leave the table there; I'm eventually planning to use an RV like this as a second vehicule, a lot of day trips and one night trips, and don't want all that valuable space occupied by a permanent bed. You're the only one who actually spent time really showing the couch, bed, space and more than everything showing it's possible to sleep sideways! My first choice wasn't a Ram but now that I know it's possible to sleep sideways, it may have become my first choice! Would you say sleeping sideways would be a double size bed? (54'') ? You are the best reviewer! Thank you !
I love the Ram Pro Master vs. the Sprinter! The deeper sink is great. But I just love the fridge and I agree with you and the minus’s you pointed out! I do wish they would put in a solid walled bath/shower, seems too easy to have water all over the area. This is why I stopped looking at the PW!
You can separate the lagun table top arm from the vertical arm quite easily. So it's not as cumbersome moving it front to back as it appears in the video.
May I May a suggestion.. We are a middle class family and I wonder how can one afford an RV what about financing with challenge credit .. My suggestion is why not make a film on that??? .. Just an Idea.. Also we are a bit in the oversized what some ideas on class B vans for people on the plus size ?? .. Want to thank you for all your films they are awesome!!!
Neil, which do like best- the Lexor or the OnTour? I think I like the OnTour best because of the Ford chassis, the compressor refrigerator, and the electric cooktop. The newest model will also have both fronts seats that swivel, awning windows and rear seat belts, and Truma furnace. The only negative I can think of is that the Ford has a taller profile than the Ram Promaster.
I should mention there is a recall on the awning at this time. Not gotten my official notice but PW has announced this for the this years model as well as the past couple of years.
PW best build, but fixated with the 3w Frig. (a non-starter 4 me) also need optional 2nd alt. instead of GenSet. Luv the sink OMG, & the BathR is great. A lot of info in this Vid. U just keep getting better. Thanks N
FWIW, house batteries charge when engine is running. Actually charge faster than using the generator. Not mentioned in this review is the automatic generator start based on power levels or air temperature.
Cup holders do not prevent your beverage from flying forward in the event of an accident. I was rear ended and my medium sized beverage, which fit down inside the cup holder, flew up in the air and landed upside down in the driver's foot well.
I am not sure if you can answer this question. After watching dozens of videos We purchased the pleasure way, we purchased a used 20ft 2009 XL. We drove it from Arizona to California. As we were cleaning it, we noticed there was a crowbar underneath the track of the couch/bed on the passenger side. When We removed it, the electrical mechanism that moves the bed forward and back (Not the one that lays the back down) no longer works. The motor works & is budging minimally but refuses to move forward or back. Have you ever heard about this issue? What can you recommend?
Pleasureway while making SOME changes still USES the 3 way PROPANE carry fridge that WINNEBAGO, COACHMAN main manufacturers have already said are failures if used in a RV and switched to ALL compressor fridges! Make the full change to compressor fridges PW, especially on the ASCENT!
Front lounge is the way to go, but not like this. Look at the layout design of 80-85% of camper vans available in Europe. That's what I would like in a van. Unfortunately, most American customers don't so I can only envy the van lifers across the Atlantic Ocean.
You did such a good job of going over the features of this model. I am looking for an overview of the 2021 Thor Tellaro AT, which I have put a deposit on today. Unfortunately after I put down a deposit, I found quite a few bad reviews. I would like to know what you think of that model. Are there any persons out there who have a Tellaro and are happy with it? Thanks for any replies.
I really hope you get a chance to review the new Winnebago Solis (looks just like a Hymer layout that I loved) because I enjoy your reviews and trust your insights on quality and design.
Hello and thank you for all your outstanding videos. I guess my question after watching so many to you is which are your top 5 class b or b+ vans out there based on quality , value, ride , and standard options? Thanks!! Jeff
If I where to get a 22-24 ft rig sprinter chassis... couldn’t I haul a smart car?I’ve been thinking about that.. going more luxury’s and a little tiny car in tow.. also couldn’t I charge from coach while towing?
I can’t understand why Dodge doesn’t put there V6 eco diesel in this van it would be way more competitive to the sprinter, ford should do the same and come up with a small diesel also.
200 Ah of lithium is pretty minimal.....we have 400Ah of lithium on our zion and we never have to plug in...we are very very conservative on our electrical use. Thanks for the video!
Great review. Been watching your vids for a while, IMO PW biggest plus beyond quality is their 5 yr warranty. With all that can go wrong that to a newbie seems to be a game changer.
Hi Neil, I am very interested in knowing if the Winnebago Solis is on your list of Class B reviews in the future. It looks very much like the Hymer Aktiv 2.0 Thanks and keep up the great flow of informational videos.
Nice coach but I think Pleasure Way needs to make a dedicated bedroom for a solo/couple traveling. I shy away from Class B's because it is way too much work to convert a bench seat to a bed & back. I just want it done so if I am traveling...I can just crawl into my bed.
Does Pleasure Way have any rigs that seatbelt (Childrens car seat) 4 and sleep 4? Love the look and what seems to be quality (reputation and your views). Thanks
The front lounge's table which you have your computer on looks ergonomically too high.... the rear lounge NEEDS headrests, especially with the 3 point seat belt. Pleasureway ... you can do better.
This is a great campervan for many bc of many factors, such as the large kitchen sink, driver's work station, the wood aesthetic, 5 year warranty, , . However, I prefer a shorter length (18'>), pop-top option, and a garage for my e-bikes.
Nice looking but definitely lacking features that a lot of older buyers are now looking for. Real 4 season capability. Also safety features are a real advantage and make drivers less stressful. A modern infotainment system is perfected over a basic 5 year old design. Spending more to get more is what I always say. If your in the 50 to 70 age bracket all the things I pointed out are what people are looking for, younger buyers that are just getting into camping and may not have the money to buy a more expensive van will probably buy one like this model.
Looks like you covered all the issues they have had in the past (no ladder, no cupholders, fewer safety features, etc.). I seem to recall the MSRP used to be 124K, but you said this was $127K. I don't see anything updated from last years model. Is there anything here that is different? Thanks for the honest review!
The lagun table is new, there’s a larger sink, new residential style faucet, and some interior decor changes, there’s a Bose sound bar, and I think that’s about it.
Ummm. I think you might be able to use the lujan table in the cab position as an extended food prep area. No? The price however, seems high, very high. I’d need to study that warranty for a long time.
You always stress the 5 year warranty. But since it only covers the parts Pleasure Way produces and none of the third party components, in what specific way do you think the warranty would be a major benefit?
It covers the part of the coach that pleasure way themselves built. That’s most of the interior woodworking cabinetry rear sofa, galley , bathroom,Electrical system, plumbing. It’s a lot of the couch and it’s a lot of the most important parts of the coach. So I have a five year warranty on those parts is important in my book. Maybe not in your book but in my book it is.
I would like to see you review systems that filter and reuse shower water, a twenty minute shower uses two to three gallons. A real fresh water and gray tank space saver. I have seen them on homemade class be but not comercialy built ones. I would really like your opinion on this.
I wish they were commercially available. I’ve seen prototypes and concepts but I haven’t yet found any that are actual products on the market. I too would like to see more of this kind of technology not only in RVs but also in our homes.
Great review. It is a great class B, but the price is a little high. I really agree with what you mention about solar and other should be standard. Thanks again!
I would really like to see a review of the 2020 Ascent. I heard that there have been some major changes (enough that some people are upset), so I would like to get you expert opinion.
Thanks for another great detailed review. I would like to hear from any PleasureWay owners regarding 200 ah of lithium battery. How long can you boondock under typical circumstances vs having to plug in at a campground? That is my only worry about that little battery capacity.
Chrysler chassis equip, fit, and finish is poor. Surprised PW would even associate wif Fiat of North America. Is a Transit with an EcoBoost a good chassis?
When we were shopping to buy in 2018 we saw a Lexor TS and liked it - but we wanted a front lounge. We then heard they were coming out with the Lexor FL and figured it would be perfect. However it turned out that it lost too much counter space and galley storage compared with the TS and we didn't feel it would work for us as we spend 1-2 months in the RV in winter. In the end we bought a 2019 Plateau FL and it has worked fine - not thrilled about having a smaller bathroom than the Lexor, but luckily we are both quite small, and after all, how much time do you spend in the bathroom - the space lost is put to very good use elsewhere.
What do you think of the 2020 Pleasureway Lexor FL?
Ultramobility Nice coach. I forgot, you also own a different Pleasureway, yes? With such a tiny propane capacity , how can the generator run for more than a few minutes? Or maybe I misunderstood your stats.
alliejr that model’s generator runs on gasoline, and won’t if the tank is less than 1/4 full.
Has to be in the top 5 for me and my needs, love the solar and batteries

Excellent, excellent, excellent review. Good photography. Good script. You’re the best at this.
Just hired a cameraman! He also did the editing! Onward and upward
I’ve become an avid follower of your very thorough reviews as I search for my fit in a travel van. Thank you! 🙏
Nice coach. It's a great road trip coach for a couple. Couple of days boondocking, then moving on. Excellent review! Excited to be renting a PW XLTS for a week in Tucson in late November. We are going to rent some different PW models to help us figure out what we want when it’s time for us to buy,

Your reviews are definitely the most thorough and complete of anyone on the market. Your videos are a must see before buying.
That’s very kind of you to say thank you so much
Keep in mind - the warranty is not transferable.
And read the fine print. The P-W 5 year warranty has myriad exclusions and exceptions.
Yep all warranties do. Still 5 years is better in my book and reflects a higher build quality. Just my opinion.

Oh, and you could add a fold down desk and Lagun table base to the front to create a front lounge.
they are both quality rigs
Got exactly this in June.
i don’t follow the logic of a 3 way fridge when a compressor is much more efficient. anyone know the typical difference in cost of aftermarket?
Hi Neal great observations I agree with all of them in particular about the fridge keep up the good work
I should mention there is a recall on the awning at this time. Not gotten my official notice but PW has announced this for the this years model as well as the past couple of years.
Your reviews are excellent
Glad you like them!
7:50 Good point. I almost always exit and enter by the sliding door
Actually moving the emergency brake to a spot in between the seats would place it in the way of spinning the seats around
PW best build, but fixated with the 3w Frig. (a non-starter 4 me) also need optional 2nd alt. instead of GenSet. Luv the sink OMG, & the BathR is great. A lot of info in this Vid. U just keep getting better. Thanks N
I am Trying!
After watching a bunch of videos on the VW Grand California, I can't go back to lusting over any American RV.
Great review! I'll keep this one in mind.
Thank you Jack!
I think too many people worry about fridge size. My gosh most stores are 15 minutes away max on average.
Hello and thank you for all your outstanding videos. I guess my question after watching so many to you is which are your top 5 class b or b+ vans out there based on quality , value, ride , and standard options?
Thanks!! Jeff
Why doesn’t Pleasureway offer ladders and roof racks?
Great review! I'm surprised that you didn't ding them harder due to the lack of positive-locking doors and drawers.
Would you consider reviewing the Winnebago Fuse? It is a Class C but only 24 feet in length. Thanks for your excellent and professional reviews, Neil!
200 Ah of lithium is pretty minimal.....we have 400Ah of lithium on our zion and we never have to plug in...we are very very conservative on our electrical use. Thanks for the video!
That’s a bummer that they don’t let you upgrade the lithium
@@Ultramobility Definitely important if you plan on doing much boondocking.
Great review. Been watching your vids for a while, IMO PW biggest plus beyond quality is their 5 yr warranty. With all that can go wrong that to a newbie seems to be a game changer.
I agree a longer warranty is just peace of mind. Thanks for the comment.
You and a lot of other people!
As usual, excellent review and see you next time.
Thank you Claude !
Pleasureway ... you can do better.
agree
Neil, would you please consider a head to head comparison of this unit to the Coachmen Beyond with an EcoBoost?
Really nice coach But those water lines exposed make it a little risky!
Yes, you are right
Great review, do the pleasureway plague TS 2020 on the sprinter van and then give us your thoughts
Will do
Great review, thank you!
This is a great campervan for many bc of many factors, such as the large kitchen sink, driver's work station, the wood aesthetic, 5 year warranty, , . However, I prefer a shorter length (18'>), pop-top option, and a garage for my e-bikes.
The old Axion would have been great for you or the Aktiv
@@Ultramobility Are you planning to review the Solis soon?
I will definitely review the Solis as soon as I can get my hands on one!
I live in a higher density community, where a shorter campervan maneuvers easier in the neighborhood. Yes, an axion studio would work.
FWIW, I park my bike in the front lounge when I want to leave the van and bike for some period of time.
Was that thing in the storage cabinet the blinds for the front cab?
Neil, I thought the Lexor FL has a "gas" generator taking fuel from gas tank, not propane? If this is true it would help the smaller Propane storage.
Ram promaster is a Fiat Ducato for US sales, but why ram promaster 2020 in USA still be a 2012 Fiat Ducato
Neal..love this PLEASURE WAY..BUT..DRIVETRAIN AND MOTOR..ITS A DODGE RAM..QUALITY??? QUESTIONABLE??
Thank you for your comment
Thank you
You're welcome
I would really like to see a review of the 2020 Ascent. I heard that there have been some major changes (enough that some people are upset), so I would like to get you expert opinion.
Yes yes cup holders in the back lounge.
Excellent!
Will you be doing a review on the Winnebago Solis soon?
Nice job!
JUST NEED TO WATCH WHERE YOU ARE GOING. MARVIN FROM UTAH
Excellent review. Would like to hear your comment about the interior lighting. I still prefer the Travato and the Solis layout over this coach.
I think the interior lighting is fine in this couch although I’m not a big fan of LED pot lights as they tend to be pretty stark
Good review. I wonder what happened to this channel?
Would it kill PW to add an opening window in the bathroom?
Thanks for another great detailed review. I would like to hear from any PleasureWay owners regarding 200 ah of lithium battery. How long can you boondock under typical circumstances vs having to plug in at a campground? That is my only worry about that little battery capacity.
Chrysler chassis equip, fit, and finish is poor. Surprised PW would even associate wif Fiat of North America. Is a Transit with an EcoBoost a good chassis?
Very , very nice 👍
EXCELLENT ;)
Many thanks!
Minimum 200 watts and a compressor fridge, cup holders in rear. Why do they put 2- way and 3-way fridges in RVs with solar?
No idea… Seems to me that compressor refrigerators are the way to go especially if you have the solar and lithium battery capacity
Does it only have one table?????
Thank you so much for sharing your ownership story!
Any chance of a review of the Embassy?
Need to find one on a dealers lot
A lot to like about this but a deal-breaker for me is the lack of it being 4-season.
Could the table swing over close to the galley to add counter space?
It can and does.
Where would you put a tandem inflatable kayak in this unit?
On a trailer.
