My only regret with this game is that there isn’t a special that uses the max amount of reverb and it has you, 808, Peppermint, Mac, CNMN and korsica all doing a screen nuke special together as a full unit

This is, hands down, the best part of the game. The music ties it all together
this part and i really liked the cannon segment with invaders must die afterwards

9:52 this fight was the most powerful I ever felt in this game, I was so overwhelmed with good vibes I completely checked out and went into a zen state where I did everything perfectly and took no hits, then I felt even better when I became aware of it. This game was such an incredible experience.

I thought the game couldn’t get better when The Prodigy started playing. But then this chapter came along.
The moment whirring started playing, I knew this was a 10/10. I felt so much fucking emotion start boiling in me. I haven't felt like this playing anything in a long time
For me that was 3 times: First robot bot with 1000000 by NIN, because I. Like the band, Invaders Must Die and Whirling
7:59 it’s too bad its the only soundtrack in the game that can’t be played in the jukebox. I love this song.
I think you can only listen to the original score on the jukebox, I don’t recall seeing any licensed tracks on it

I love how the disgruntled employee who reprogrammed the coffee maker to only dispense decaf is the straw that breaks Kale's nerves.
I love how the off-handed remark about the coffee machine became the best running joke of this game. I laughed when Korsica was like “…umm does anyone know what’s up with the coffee machine?” But Kale’s man-trum over a decaf only quatardo made me laugh so hard. Also the implication in cutscene the at the end of the game, that the coffee still only puts out decaf ppl are just living with it ,was perfect
God, that transition at 9:52, makes you feel just right to perform some crazy combos :^)
I literally was smiling like crazy when the enemies jumped in and the lyrics started, best feeling ive gotten from a game in over a decade.
Also might I add the enemy choice right there is a genius touch, none of them are shielded so you can hear your own guitar over the track immediately

One of those rare games that comes out the blue and becomes an instant hit. Didn't think I would have so much fun with this game, and I suck at rhythm games. Yet this game made it fun to learn and get better over time. Everyone really needs to play this gem.
I love the slow-mo Right Stuff walk towards the camera. You don't always see the heroes do anything, but walk. In a few seconds, you can know about the personalities of the group.

This level is basically a victory lap. It's still engaging but by this point and going through Roguefort your vibes are at maximum and you feel that strong sense that no matter what you're gonna do it.

For some reason, Chai saying, "Hey Kale, we got beef," had me laughing so hard I was crying even though I never noticed it during my first playthrough.
I believe it has been said that this story was partially inspired by Scott Pilgrim vs. The World after all.
And Kale's response: "OK, screw this!" was the cherry on top
Maybe its just me but even after completing the game, i find myself going back just for the good vibes alone. This game shadow dropped and quickly solidified a spot in my top 10 games. This game leaks of passion and love from the creators; everything from the designs to the music. This is a SHINING example of how games SHOULD be and this game is master class. In all honesty, the reflection song with the whole harmonic shield sequence also made me emotional due to how raw it felt. It wasnt overly serious but not overly corny. It was just the perfect example of resonating with your thoughts and feeling the tune of your own beat. Im glad HiFi is getting so much attention but honestly it deserves more and IMHO a solid GOTY contender
I am so happy that both Streamer Mode and Non Streamer mode capture the same emotional high that is this level.
The first time I played ch11 l didn’t realize how attached I was to these characters. As silly as this game can be at times the devs nailed the emotional climax- going from a serious moment of Chai and his friends synchronizing/Chai realizing his own personal growth/the “Band” coming together and then all of them exploding onto the scene with this song(or Surfacing) playing in the background is just so cathartic. Going through this level, having fun and getting hyped towards the final confrontation with all the friends you met along the way. The crowd screaming your name as your combos stack. Just masterful.
Both of the tracks for this level cure my depressive episodes ngl- songs about putting one foot in front of the other despite how hard you’re struggling, to break through and be just be free and live to the fullest were perfect songs for this level.
Chai is the main character you control but you’ve never been alone- and the realization that you and he are supported as you make your way through one mob to the next culminating in all of you blasting the giant robot together is a kalidoscope of feels and colors.
Sometimes i really wish I could go back and play this level for the first time again. I still get emotional, but not in the way I did the first time I played.
I love this game so much. GOTY PLEASE.
I just love how when you hit to the beat the guitar makes the sound to the song its such nice detail

I didn’t really notice until watching this, but the musical cues that play when Chai gets the notes right actually accentuate and add to the music. Some of it sounds like it would fit perfectly in the song itself!

9:52 okay so in my opinion this game has great non-streamer mode tracks and great streamer mode tracks but… The MVP for non-streamer mode is this moment right here. When i got here i felt like i was gonna cry! This is the only game i have seen that does the “Friendship is my power” trope right and it feels awesome!
I was a bit up and down on this game, but TJF is one of my favorite bands and Whirring may be my all-time favorite song, and everything just came together here so perfectly that I can't help but love it unconditionally.
If the game ended right after this no one would be wiser, but then they up their game again with 808. Gotta say the game from beginning to the end never stop surprising.
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it many times over. This game is a rhythm masterpiece. And I’m glad I’m not to only one who started to cry at this stage.
When Whirring started, i had the weirdest joy tears of my life.
Im kinda sad, because im never going to play for the first time this game again.
Omigod same. I had tears in my eyes throughout this level from the pure emotional rush of it, and once i got to the level complete screen my first thought was “damn. I’ll never experience this level like this ever again.” I still get emotional, but not in the same way how it first hit
I love the entirety of the last few levels of this game. It just fully embraces how weird it is. It feels... fun. Happy. Like the devs themselves were having a BLAST and wanted you to feel that way too.

This level is so goddamn outstanding and I'm so glad there's a video of this version of this level with the licensed song in it

This game looks so cool, every hit, every dodge, every action has rythm and all combined makes music. The comedy in this game is also on point, being self aware yet funny. I didn't play it or seen a full playthrough and i already love it.
I feel like everything could of been avoided if the coffee machine had caffeinated coffee

Did anyone else spam in their friends as much as they could during this level? It only felt appropriate.
For years, my mom has listened to this radio station that had the opening of Whirring as one of their main radio spots, like one of their “You’re listening to WIDP, 109.2!” things. It was basically engrained in my memory without me ever noticing it. Then, I played this game and immediately recognized those opening guitar notes, and I finally had a name to attach to this song I never knew I was nostalgic for. This is my favorite song now. Thank you, HiFi Rush.

I hate to admit just how much the decaf joke got me, you read *one* text log that is just an agree employee making all the coffee machines broke, and it makes 3 jokes that hit hard
This is hands down one of the best feel good experience in a videogame I've ever had. The music is perfect, got me in the right mood for fighting, was hitting over 90% in just timing, never got even close to those numbers

As many times as I’ve played this level, Chai’s “WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!” when the robot appears makes me laugh every time. Robbie Daymond was the perfect choice for Chai’s en VA. For us Final Fantasy XV fans it was amazing finding another head-empty, sunshine boy only, in Chai
