I love how it starts off as an obvious live performance with the croud being loud and him having to tune his guitar a tad. And then it slowly progresses into almost a recording like sound, everything around him is silent when his voice hits the ear.
@Pellizoti no, it's not played like shit! they simply needed to do some reverbas the sound of the guitar is too sharp and scrappy here, and I think it'd be wise if he played it 1st capo so as the guitar sounded lower in accordance with his voice
I imagine that this must be a really personal song for him, which you could say for almost any song he's ever written, it's the kind of song that makes you wonder what they were going through when they wrote that
Mark captures the beauty and sadness of life in his songs so well. So much emotion in his words, voice, and playing. My god!!
Melancholic Genius
pure poetry, a sad, dreamy, smooth song
Thanks so much for putting these clips up.

Part of that is because it switches to a soundboard feed that isolates Mark from the crow but yes the quality is amazing
Class.
You got that straight.
@heth6 It'd be because they were using the cameras to record for the first minute then switch over and used the direct feed from the mic
What a fucking great song, wish I could get the guitar tabs of this version ... any help would be useful!
I started working out the tabs for Heron Blue, and I want to tab out the whole concert. :)
AnotherGuitarHero Cool! Share me your work, i'd like to see it.
Hernaldo Sandoval I will share it (on Ultimate-Guitar :p) when a song is done. But I only got pieces of note transcriptions of songs now.

What's the name of this song?
Moorestown by Sun Kil Moon
I wonder if this is his favourite song, he seems to play it on most sets?

so noisy…
Well sung. Played like shit. And I love Mark. He just didn't quite have it that day.
This is actually one of my favorite versions of any song by him. Mostly cause there's no other acoustic version of this wonderful song.
@@maxwellbarnhart1375 there is a version on Lost Verses Live that's 100x better
@@casperowens2482 you have the link ??
Look how easy this song is! Root not then open strings. It doesn't sound like shit anyways, the tone just doesn't match the overly reverbed vocals.
