Honestly, I don't think Tre would be a good fit, he's more a scorer than a distributor given how non-chelant about the game last night, plus he's a huge liability defensively. I know San Antonio is one of the better defensive teams this year after coming in stride the last month of the season.
While Young will get you numbers, the tradeoff is no defense and I don't think San Antonio would go that route.
Now Dejante Murray coming back to SA alongside Wemby, considering he's a better defender than Tre, is a better fit with what San Antonio needs, the problem is Atlanta is going to want a lot in return for either Tre or Murray.
Who knows, I just think however I'd rather have Dejante over Tre if that was an option. Will wait and see

That's the best plan. Especially when next year is a loaded draft and The Spurs could have a possible 5 first round picks. That means they can trade up for a more valuable player instead of overpay for Trae/Dejounte. Spurs develop from within they don't get players from trades
@@blablablaa14 maybe. According to what I've heard this draft coming is not all that either. And again I don't think Tre is the answer to the Spurs. It's going to all depend on management for the Spurs what they want to do for year 2.
But again the risk your taking by getting Trae, is he's a defensive liability, and I don't think the Spurs want a person that can't play defense. Pop is always known to have some defensive plan and they did pretty well this year despite that record.
And again how do you manage Trae's contract, especially when you have to resign Wemby in 3 years.
Even though they have cap space and draft capital, again they have to plan that money towards Wemby's massive contract that he will command providing they are going to give a rookie extension at year 3 or 4.
San Antonio really needs one good veteran that can play 3 and D like a Dejante Murray..
Again I don't have a clue what will happen, but how quiet it has been for SA in terms of year 2, I think they will probably keep building from a weak draft this year and wait for 2025 to go at it with better free agents in 2025, this free agency is not gonna provide a lot which is why I seriously doubt they sign Young unless they think they can get some defense on him that he hasn't done since he's entered the league.
I mean I agree on the premise your saying that they will home grow their team through the draft, and I think that should be their option to do so, but that's also gonna weigh heavily on what Wemby thinks, because at some point they are going to cater to what Wemby wants.
My hope is they don't sign anyone, but will see, but if they do decide that they want to win in year 2, I think the better route would be Murray over Trae.

Murray didn't confront Trae because that's mostly on him having bad hands. With how many games he's played his throughout his life, catching a non-pinpoint pass should've been relatively easy. Left-hand cup it, pull it back to you with one dribble and shoot. Instead he was all over the place and seemed like he tried to pass out at the end when it was a shoot only situation (which means he was not minding the clocking.)

In that passing sequence you didn’t mention that DJ could have made the pass to Bogi. His mistake. Sure Trae could have stayed in front of his man but he would have had to defend him with his surgically repaired hand. All game he hadn’t been going to that side. They were mistakes but do t put it all on Trae. He made great passes to open players all game and they missed those shots.

No his dribble didn’t end gravity was still in the process of bringing the ball back to the ground you guys forget that there’s not a rule for steps allowed In between dribbles there’s unlimited . You get two steps after you’ve gathered the ball a gather is when you grab the ball with 2 hands ,that’s how gather steps are used, players make sure to get a step or as many steps as they can before the ball is brought from one to two hands. For years this has caused so much trouble lol people think you get 2 steps in between each dribble

But any hope of that is long gone, you've already traded collins & huerter, we've seen murray and bogdanovic show their frustation time and time again, the pieces you have either don't fit or its not enough. They finish 9th or 10th in the east every year. Not to mention trae has had plenty of ego/diva moments, like the game he just decided not to show up. That's why they had to fire McMillan cuz him and trae couldn't get along
That was a terrible sequence by Trae but Murray needs to go to ball instead of complaining. Straight up stood there with lead feet and tried to receive the ball with a one-handed slap catch. Clearly wanted a 3 and got mad when the pass wasn't pocket perfect. Could have easily caught that pass with two hands and made a move but decided to blame instead of trying to fix a mistake. I feel bad for the guys like Bogie, Hunter, and Capela who are actually good and take the game seriously in Atlanta. Wish Bogie was still on the kings tearing it up. Also this is just another reason the east west split is unfair. The Kings would beat the living daylights out of either the Bulls or Hawks yet they are in the same place in the standings lol.
