Actually, the map Illios is supposed to be set in a futuristic Rhodes (an island in Greece, go look it up), and Rhodes was famous for being the home of the colossus (a giant statue of the Greek god Apollo). So having a hero named Athena have her home in Rhodes makes no sense. And don't say it's still Greece, because people from different parts of Greece treat the other parts of Greece kind of like different countries.

Yeah, that was such a bullshit decision for a bullshit reason. Even if German is one of the national languages in Switzerland, in everyday situations, we speak Swissgerman with each other, a dialect that sounds very different from normal German. Most Germans probably wouldn't understand "Schwyzerdütsch", but since we're taught German in school and we write in normal German, it's no problem for us to talk like our neighbours. Most of us would be more comfortable speaking Swissgerman though, which is why Mercy, who was born in Zürich (or at least has her base of operations there) sounds so fake to us (or to me at least).
If they really wanted German voices so badly, they should've given it to Reinhardt, who really is from Germany and should speak German. I haven't heard one German voiceline from him yet - maybe there is - I just haven't heard them yet.

the new hero, jeff kaplan is from illios. He can fire really hot water out of his bum, which is a refference to the mediteran climate of illios.

Pose was out of character, mostly. This pose would fit Widowmaker, but not Tracer. Players were complaining about that too. So they replaced old over the shoulder pose with the new one.

If you played the german version of OW you'd hear Reinhardt speaking german or better “Schwäbisch“ an accent which is spoken in “Baden-Württemberg“ where he comes from. Mercy speaks swissgerman in the german version of the game. I don't know why OW doesn't let Reinhardt speak german but gave Mercy a german accent althoug she comes from Swiss. That doesn't make any sense... lol...

We had a mix up in writing thinking Gibraltar was in Australia. By the time we realized it's in Europe we were too far along to change it.
Australia's irradiated, so to have a map in Australia the heroes would need to wear gas masks (see Ana's "wasteland" skin)

This will probably be lost in the long strands of comments, but a pretty cool thing to add to this video: Reinhardt actually does know that Gabriel is still alive because sometimes when you kill a Reaper as Reinhardt, he'll yell "Traitor!", indicating that he knows it's Gabriel, and of course he knows that Ana is alive now too (Pre game interactions). As for Soldier 76, the only interaction (or at least, the only one I know of) between the two is when Solider 76 kills Reinhardt and says "Always overconfident.".
