- Hello darlings,
I wanted to make a glam house robe for so long! I refuse to let myself be scruffy and wear ugly clothes at home, when I could wear something so beautiful and glamorous!
The pattern I’m using is the Georgia dress pattern, from Vintage sewing pattern company and it’s a great pattern, not only because it’s quite straightforward to make, but also because it’s quite versatile. As you can use it to make a coat or a dress or a house robe, like I am…

Please leave me your comments to let me know if you would wear this at home or let me know of any videos you'd like me to make! Or just say hello!
A hug from me to you! xx

The robe is so beautiful! It looks like the perfect thing to lounge around the house in glamorously ✨!
Thank you very much! And yes that was my goal 😉🥰
That robe is gorgeous! I'm feeling very inspired.
(I'm currently watching the 1980s Dynasty as well. The character Krystal has some beautiful nightgown/robe sets that I've been admiring recently. 😂)
I'm so glad I inspired you!!! And what are the odds of you also watching the 80s Dynasty currently, that's awesome! I agree Krystal's nightgowns are so glam and pretty! 😉💋
What a classy piece you did a beautiful job. Thanks for sharing.❤
Thank you very much, I'm glad you liked it! 🥰
You are just amazing! Your tutorial for the Georgia dress is excellent and sooooo clear.
Oh I'm really happy, because I wanted my tutorial to be helpful as a sew-a-long! Thank you!!! 😘
That is a beautiful robe! Great job!
Thank you very much! 😊
Your robe looks absolutely fabulous. Love your fabric choice, it looks so luxurious and no doubt feel’s beautiful on. .❤️🌺
Thank you so much! It's a bit heavy, but it's very soft and it does feel so nice! 😘😘
You made such a gorgeous robe 💕 I love how you explained that the pattern could be made into a dress or a coat too. The colour is fabulous and I love your appliqués. And I loved the cameo performance off screen by an outraged cat! 🐈💗💗💗🎀
Thank you Samantha and your advice on gowing forward with the appliqués was so helpful! And of course the cats are always somehow in my videos hehe ❤❤
@@ariettasvintagelife Pets have ways of making their presence known! 😄💕

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the robe but can we just also take a moment to appreciate your overall elegance ❤
You say the nicest things! Thank you so much!❤❤
Very beautiful Arietta. This is a fabulous take on the Georgia dress as a dressing gown and a fabulous tutorial❤
Thank you so much Gill, I'm so glad you like it! It is a beautiful pattern and I'm so happy I finally have a glam dressing gown to wear at home! ❤
Beautifully done! The vintage robes have SO much more fabric than "most" modern store bought robes! Is this fabric a medium weight satin back rayon...? Thank you for sharing! Stunning! ❤😊
Oh yes this one too has a lot of fabric. It's at least 6 yards or maybe more! I would say it's probably a heavy weight satin rayon. I got it from a nold fabric store that closed and they didn't know how the fabrics were called... Thank you very much for your kind words! 🥰🥰
