    In regards to nutrition, I read a post years ago on boardgamegeek from a nutritionist that pointed out that the brain uses a ton of calories when it's thinking. I started taking some naturally sugary snacks to game nights (raisins or any other dried fruit works well for me) in addition to whatever else I would normally eat, since the body digests sugars quickly. It's honestly shocking how much more staying power my brain has when doing that.

    Dude I watched your how to play vet guard video and loved it. Very glad to hear you crushed with them! I hope you make more videos like that how to win because it was probably the most useful "how to" I've ever seen for Kill Team

      @@mattf1787 Your comment might've just got me back into a video making mood haha I'll start working on em! Do you find general guides about the game helpful outside of team-specific stuff?

    • @mattf1787
      @mattf1787 Před rokem +1

      @@VentrueMinis Yeah I think the guides would be helpful too, especially for confusing rules interactions. I think topics wise, you'll have to lurk through forums and discords to see what topics people are confused about the most. I use your Vet Guard guide as a reference video, so maybe that might be a good starting point? I think what kill team suffers from is what overall WH suffers from: No unified place for rules, nor a place to simply view all the teams and understand how they vary compared to each other. Not only that, the rules don't even come with the teams unless you buy a box set! So something that is comprehensive and addresses those issues would be of a great help.
      I'm not sure your overall goals for your channel are but I dunno if what I'm suggesting would lead to a lot of views, vs a channel that does stuff like battle reports. I do think it's an untouched part of the Kill Team YT space. Keeping them organized with bookmarks and clear sections can basically turn your vids in to reference videos which can be updated as time goes by. A lot of yt channels suffer from being too long and rambling imo. That doesn't help when I just wanna understand what and why I should do with my team in a succinct manner. Sorry I'm rambling but hopefully this helps with your ideas. I do like this channel for their rules explanations because they go over them and shot clear, well filmed examples: www.youtube.com/@KimerexProjekt
      Hope that helps! Maybe I'll get to play you at adeptacon one day!

    I like the tip about your strategy into gellerpox! I’ve got a local tournament in a week and breaking my vet guard out again. Main thing I’m worried about is gellerpox, but that’s helped. Question though: what do you think about the admech match up?

    • @VentrueMinis
      @VentrueMinis  Před rokem +1

      Admech is super weird. Two big things to look out for are the melee guys and the guy who can ignore cover/obscuring (forget which). Make sure to pre-measure the charge distances on their melee guys and space around them and kill them before they cause too much trouble. Plasma and melta them in the face!

    how much do you think the balance dataslate hurts vet guard? I haven't played with the new dataslate yet, so idk how to feel about the primary scoring changes. Also, I really appreciate your vet guard guide; I don't know how else i would've gotten better at vet guard lol.

    • @VentrueMinis
      @VentrueMinis  Před rokem

      Vet Guard love scoring primaries so the more the merrier honestly. Most games, Vet Guard should be maxing primary, and with security being a little more tricky, it puts them in a better spot. Plus, Glory in Death gets easier too.

    Do you have any tips for playing against Pathfinders on Open Play? I'm finding that they not only have vastly superior fire power than Vet Guard but their also able to trade with them as their a similar sized Kill Team 😕

    • @VentrueMinis
      @VentrueMinis  Před rokem +1

      With the changes to Pathfinders, they can no longer trade as well! With less operatives, Vet Guard can trade on objectives or kills pretty nicely. The biggest flaw with Pathfinders is that they need to stack their markerlights. You can usually play around them pretty well. The only big draw with them is it makes your sniper/spotter who are always in conceal way less safe. I usually just play objectives vs. Pathfinders and trade as safely as possible. Leverage In Death Atonement and honestly, hand-axes aren't a bad choice.

  • @Zefurionx

    At 7:10 you say that you went into vantage to deal with glichlings. This is actually breaking a rules because it is written that glichlings are always in conceal order bypassing any other rule that threads model as in engage, and vantage point is specifically enlisted there as example of not taking an effect on them.
    I am really surprised that your opponent let you shoot at glitchilngs with a "small" ability.
    Please be aware of that next time.

    • @VentrueMinis
      @VentrueMinis  Před rokem +3

      Oops, I might have misspoke about my target. I shot at the grenade holding guys who (checks notes) are the mutants, not the glitchings. Misspoke there, the glitchings were mostly dealt with by the flame getting within 2".
