I was at this game with my late Dad what a marvellous game I recall because Gary Caldwell strolled through game flawless at Right back and Humphrey Rudge was immense at centre half. Brown, Murphy, Thomson, Boozy, Garry-O, Riordan and superb wee Ulsterman Ivan Sproule all magnificent. Michael Stewart (normally underwhelming) played well and Diddy keeper Zibi also played a blinder. Every Hibs player performed that day, so proud of that squad a wonderful team of talent what a great era to be a Hibby best footballing side in Scotland back then, we outclassed Gers, Hoops, Dons & Jambos regularly at Easter Rd. GGTTH
What cracking teams both sides had back then. And look at us now (Ok Hearts had the Administration points docking to deal with). Also sad to look at what became of O'Connor & Riordan compared to this
Maybe, but not with Zibi in goals haha. You're right though, Rangers are gone and both Edinburgh teams being involved in the relegation battles of the last two seasons. What the hell happened. You had the likes of Craig Gordon and Skacel, we had players like Riordan and Brown. Now we have close to nothing. Nice to see an honest Jambo too.
Jankauskas sending off was turning point, after Brown was bending over showing him his Brownie. 2 good sides here, good players on both sides, and was Hartley passing it to the the hibs keeper there? Skacel almost gave him a face lift. Hibs snatched it at the end with Hearts down to 10, but fair play got to tuck them away when you can. ✌🏽
This is probably my favourite derby a went to.a was at the 1st game of the season when they gubbed us & that win getting them back for the 4-0 at theyre shit hole ground.HFCTID
