  • ❄️ These Sparkling Snowball Bath Truffles are perfect for holiday gifts! The combination of sodium bicarbonate and citric acid create a gentle fizzing reaction. The addition of SLSA creates bubbles, while cocoa butter and shea butter add moisture. The truffles are scented with Silver Sparkle Fragrance Oil, which gives them a creamy scent that's suitable for the holidays and beyond.
    Once the ingredients are combined and the blue and white colors are layered, an ice cream scoop creates the cute shape. Snowflake Sparkle Mica is sprinkled on top for the perfect finishing touch.
    The bath truffles need about 3-4 days to dry and harden before use. We recommend filling your bathtub about 3/4 of the way, then breaking the truffle up under the faucet to activate the most bubbles. Because of the skin-loving butters in this recipe, the bubbles are dense, creamy, and moisturizing. Thanks to the polysorbate 80, we found the micas blend with the water and leave very little color on the tub.
    SAFETY NOTE: A mask is recommended when using SLSA, especially if you're unfamiliar with how to work with it or have respiratory concerns.
    The recipe makes about 18 truffles, depending on the size of your scoop. That means you have plenty to give to loved ones! We like to package them in small plastic bags or jars so they stay intact.

    I make these bath truffles in all different scents all the time for gifts for my colleagues. They are a big hit. I just use fractionated coconut oil instead of the extract and whatever scent I want. I tend to use unrefined cocoa butter so I try to use scents that go well with the chocolate smell. So easy and they make the best bubbles.

      @bramble-berry  Před 11 měsíci

      This original recipe calls for 0.8 ounces of fragrance so the 2 ounce bottle will make 2 batches with a bit remaining.

      Any lightweight liquid oil would work! Coconut oil may make them a little bit firmer, but should work fine.

      We haven't tested this recipe with castile soap. It would probably change the texture quite dramatically, because you're replacing a powder with a liquid. We would recommend making a small test batch first to see what you think!

      You could omit the glycerin if you need. You may want to add a little more shea butter to keep a similar texture. You could also add more of a lightweight liquid oil if you have one on hand.
